I passed by this video last night thinking oh he is just driving somewhere I didn’t really know what u were talking about because I had never heard of it so I skipped it! Tonight I was watching your video about taking the bar down and u mentioned the views so I thought I would check it out so glad I did! Mike this video makes me cry the beauty , God’s hand in it all! I am 59 years old working 50 hours a week and as u can imagine not much time for anything with 1 day a week off. Lately when I walk the dogs I have been looking at God’s handy work listening to the birds etc. I have been missing growing up a farm missing my grandma Soo much😢 Many dreams of her lately! We take for granted what God has given us! Thank you Soo much for this video it was beautiful! I need more time to stop and smell the roses as the saying goes! This is one of your best videos!

Thanks for taking all of us along on your road trip. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Love nature and being out side to enjoy every bit of God’s wonderful creations. There is nothing so restful as sitting still and enjoying the sounds, the smell of clean air, the singing of the birds and the sound of running water. I have lived in the Mena Arkansas area since I was about four years old. My dad and his family are from Hatfield and mom was from Glenwood. I have lived here 48 years. I have been on the mountain so many times I can't count. Love it!
You can see my property from the third overlook.
I have been up the fire tower several times. It was awesome. Last time was in 1993 when right after my son was born.
My grandfather almost bought the lodge before it was a state park. He didn't because it is hard to get up and down the mountain in the winter. He wanted to have his children an education. A side note my husband and I had our first date on the mountain. We had supper at the lodge. We got married across from Janssen park. And we have been married 33 years.

When I went to Florida years ago we went on Blue Ridge Highway. Back then there were no guardrails. But above all it was beautiful.

Thank you for the tour. Beautiful, even with the haze and pollution. Someday you should come up to northern New Hampshire and see our beautiful Mt. Washington and our other views. We have the same haze and pollution though 😢.

Terrific video. Beautiful scenery. My family went to Gettysburg to tour the battlefields when I was about 13. We climbed one of those lookout towers. That was an exciting experience. I’m originally from NE Ohio and spent time with my grandparents in SE Ohio. I have lived in the Phoenix area for a long time. I miss the green trees and views like your trip on this video.

When we were there , their was a road rally race going on, they zoomed past us fast Lot of small cars and boy could they move, like a snake moving on those curves and hills
Oh heck! We were on hwy 63 and hwy 259 today going through hocatown and broken bow! Came back on 63 past queen wilamena!

We are sorry! We did however sit for over an hour on 259 north! Saw bigfoot 3 times! 😂

Did this trail back in the 70’s on motorcycles with two other couples. We left southeast Ks and started it at the beginning trail in Oklahoma and went into Arkansas to the end of the trail. Then on to Nashville.
So nice to see it again and the memories it brings back. Still beautiful. I do not remember the lodge but we slept in pup tents the whole trip.
