Nice property! Good episode as usual...
Thanks, Mike and family, and thank the owner of the resort for the detailed tour!!!
Good stuff!
👍😎👍
Mike, You have a lot of haters in these comments. They are probably are unhappy western men back in there home countries. All I can say is that's a beautiful resort they have. I retired in the Philippines almost 4 years ago. My life is stress free, happy and so much safer here in Davao than America. Not to mention the cost of living is at least 60% less. Nice tour and video of the area brother.
@@Marabella1 You are absolutely correct! God bless!
What a loving father figure you are. Thank you Mike.
Mike should buy a resort. He would make a great host.
Wow! What an incredible view from their second floor balcony. I could sit out there for hours.
No country is perfect but Philippines is near perfect haha for me. Happy people, beautiful beach, hot weather, amazing landscapes, mountains, volcanoes, foods, and many more. The only common problem amongst the people is MONEY.
when I retired in the philippines I decided that I would not go into business there. Yet, my interests automatically drove me to do business: Farming. I did especially well when onions were expensive in philippines. I mainly do agriculture, no animal husbandry yet (not counting some chickens), but in fact may start that too
Mike, that place is nice, its actually a place I might visit once I get to the Philippines. Nice people! Thanks
San Jose is on the western side of Panay. Unlike Roxas which is on the north side. So typhoons dont pass by often there. Usually the movement of typhoons is going up north...
Nice tour! Thanks much and cheers 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
What a beauty of a spot, incredible beach front.
Resort was first called Kooralbyn Beach Resort . It was built by a friend of mine, an Australian. After a marriage breakdown Roy walked away and lost the lot, he retired back in Australia. It is a beautiful place, my wife and I slept in the room where the fishing rods are when it was new.

OMG, so happy for them & enjoying your Antique life vlog!!!❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
Nice video, by the way. I truly believe u can learn the language. Just like I did. I lived in the PH for 4 years at a fisherman village and randomly met my wife there. She was 17 at the time, I was 21. I spend every day at the beach, spending time with her and her family catching fish. I went to the PH for vacation but actually stayed for 4 years, and I had no money so I worked in construction making 10k peso per month. I heard bisaya(cebuano) all day every day and after 2 years my bisaya was pretty good. And after 4 years I understood EVERYTHING. And that made life even better. Now were married for 10 years, living in the Netherlands, still talking bisaya at home and saving money till we can retire in the PH. I miss the sea so much. U have a great girlfriend and sweet kiddo. Take care👍 i watch every single video u upload and enjoy it a lot.
Most in the construction and trades only make 6k-8k php now. How did you make 10k php back then ?
The crucial thing here is that you were 21. Most of these guys are 50+, you might not realize it, but the speed and capasity to learn new things goes down A LOT by that time. So something that you can easily do in 2 years when you are 20, you most likely can't do at all at 50, or if you can it'll take 8-10 years. So it's not really worth it.
@@thebigmann81 Minimum wage is 700 now. 6K is working 9 days ?
@@Biker_Rick007 wow is it now? I worked 2012-2016 and wage ranged from 200 to 350 per day. I made more cuz i am allrounder and do tiles, wielding etc too.
@ It depends on the location if it's NCR or different tier cities and outside the urban areas. Depends on the trade skills too. Agricultural workers is half that.
i like the beach amazing drone shot
Nice beach property, especially during the summer. And facing the sunset too. Impressive esplanade, it's really long.
It sounds like hommie is from Philly! ❤
My hometown! The resort is beautiful
BUYING THINGS FOR SCHOOLS IN THE PHILIPPINES: Amazon is good, but Lazada & Shopee (Amazon's equivalent in the Philippines) are far less expensive to shop online. We in the west can use both and have product delivered in the Philippines. Last time I checked it was 9X cheaper. Our money will REALLY help them out then!
That is a very big / wide property that cost millions
Love the place and sound bro...
Another of my hometown. Actually my more preferred hometown than Iloilo City.
Haven't seen anyone going for a swim. So good looking at the ocean 😢😢😢😊😊
Love San Jose!
Ride there often on my motorcycle.
Yeah from San Jose to caticlan it's a beautiful Ride along the coastline . I lived in San Jose from 2005-2021 . Not far from that Beach resort that he showed .
@reinhardtheler7999 I've never been that far north on the west coast of Panay. I'm in Miagao Iloilo. I usually ride through the mountain road to Hamtic, up to San Jose, then back south and take the ocean road around Anini-i and around to Miagao. That's about all my back can handle. I have been up to Barbosa I think. An absolutely beautiful province!
I'll have to look into that nice little Oceanside beach one day! Always looking for nice spots for a break, or good places to bring my wife.
@@RobertTayman-m9r yes that's a nice Ride too , mountain road to Hamptic , then go back over Anini-i on the beach road . But from Miagao to San Jose is much more traffic ( especially over the mountain road) Then from SanJose nord in the direction of caticlan . It's a peaceful Ride and good wide Road .
@reinhardtheler7999 One day. I plan on Going to Roxas (kawasaki dealer there to go over my bike, and to visit the Can Beaver) one day, and would love to go west from there, then down the west coast of the island. If I accomplish that then Ive covered the island as Ive done the east coast. My back can only handle about 4 hours a day now though, and life just keeps getting in the way. One day.
But I do love Antique, and San Jose. About the same time traveling to Iloilo for us. Just no S+R there.
@@RobertTayman-m9r i hope you can do it . I never been to capiz , Roxas . My longest Bike ride there was from San Jose to Kalibo , Kalibo to Iloilo, Iloilo back home to San jose . I stayed one night in Kalibo and one night in Iloilo . I have also back- and joint issues . However i do plan to visit the Beaver bar in Roxas once and also have a check-up with the osteopath Dr Alex . I'm living in Rizal province now in Luzon .
Great idea but be careful. Like any other foriegners buying is a huge risk.
What about a lease for up to 50 years with an unrevokable POA? Is that risky?
Love the Intro sir!!!

Great video. You’re almost convincing me to retire and move there. I’ll be 65 in April. Hope your host finds that other perfect place.
Funny my asawa is from fillipeans and doesnt wanna go back. Even though we got millions of usd portfolio. we would live very high..still no.. food for thought
@@peter-pg5yclol ..go for it its so easy to have a business here🤣🤣🤣🤣
Be very careful do your homework when it comes to the females. If you could find travel buddy on like craigslist, I would check out Thailand Cambodia Vietnam and the Philippines.
My mom also never wished to go back, not even for longer visits like months. I don’t know your home or nationality, but when my mother became a citizen of the USA, it was still required to renounce allegiance to prior homelands. She always loved her homeland, but her passion & interests & BIG LOVE, her choice & preference she would say if asked: USA all the way…. Everbody is different/individual, but growing up I don’t recall even now any one of Filipinos & Filipinas I knew (not acquaintances but people I really knew knew), who were like her in this respect. She & your wife were perhaps soul sisters?
I would buy it ! But of course impossible. Roughly 1/2 the $s of my condo in Myrtle Beach.
Why impossible? Visa?
You don't need indoor pool in the Philippines, it's hot! And all the oceans around!
Yep, it’s the silliest idea I have ever heard of. Putting a pool inside that small restaurant type building is absurd! Imagine the water splashing all over the floor, the noise, the inconvenience to others, and the waste of space which could be used as an eatery or bar!
Some of the ocean water in the Philippines is just plain nasty. They grow up swimming in sewer water, but white person could get deathly ill. I have been at beautiful resorts went exploring and brown sewer water going in right next to the resorts. One was owned by the mayor of the town you would think he would order his neighbor to fix their septic system. I'm not saying this is the case at this resort!
@nivid01 Many pools have elevated walkways / matts for any water to run down to make safe walkways. But the other option is to put a second floor on the Pavillion for a restaurant or bar, with direct access to the road. The cost to do that would be minimal and is something we already had an engineer draw up. If anyone is interested in buying we can share that information with them. We would also suggest a second floor over the building with the Ac units.
Asia gets typhoons they sure do.. kinda funky cool if your out in one
There are places that aren't affected by typhoons, either its enclosed or there's other islands in front of them. These resorts built their nipa huts out of bamboos and no nails were used.
Hi Michael, I heard you saying Tim is looking for a place to dock a boat. He owns a resort right on the beach, so why can't he just build a dock right off his property for his boat? He could even offer fishing charters through his resort that could attract many others looking for a great fishing experience. If he is not looking to ad that kind of experience for his patrons he could just use that as an excuse to keep his own boat there. I know I'm not sure of the laws there but it does seem like it could be something to look into.
There's a mountain of paperwork involved in any permanent installation on the waterline, but moorings are self regulated- so can have a floating bar & a rope pull ferry without any special permissions.
With a Turtle sanctuary next door I doubt the DENR would allow it!
Black grey sand from volcano 🌋 looks like mud
Love the macho hunter. All he cares about is bragging about how far away he took a shot. Really nice place.

PAC safe makes a really nice knife proof travel back pack
Just got one yesterday seems well built (urban model)
@ I’ve got the over the shoulder man purse by them. Its pretty sweet it has locking zippers. Kinda disappointing that both compartments don’t lock but it is knife proof.
Nice hat
So, I thought a foreigner can't buy property in the phils? so is this a lease?
Anywhere like that trying to get 10k a night will be unoccupied 95% of the time & when it's not, there's 10 people in the room. Says "super popular" walking through a restaurant with 5 people in it.
Owning a resort in the Philippines is a lifestyle, not a way to make money.
One hour after we came the place was packed but also said on the weekend and it wasn't a weekend. Regardless that was my experience when I had stayed there in the past if you had a different experience to share then I'm sure we all appreciate it
@ThatPhilippinesLife nearly 20 years with friends in the resort business in the Philippines. The most successful specialize in corporate functions, with a daily per person spend around 500 peso. Those reliant on foreigners or high end Filipino clients struggle- wet season there's no business from June to November. Holiday seasons everything gets booked whether a half star kubo or 4 star resort- but that's only about 7 weeks trade a year.
Hi cutie Lara

Not accurate. Any such structuring or fixing things in that fashion is itself a crime and has been prosecuted. Sham corporations to allow foreigners ownership will be instantly discarded at the first dispute and will further invalidate a foreigner's claim. His wife is probably legit but don't kid yourself into thinking the same will work for anyone. It comes down to the wife, full stop. Do this with a conniving one and you're toast.
