I was in a very dark place when I went through my Nf journey and it was tough but he helped me work through 40+ years of trauma that no meds or Drs ever could! Was an alcoholic when I started it and haven’t had a drink in over 4 yrs now. Nf did that for me! To hear someone be so vulnerable and Real was something I really needed to change my perception of myself and start the healing process! I’ll forever love Nate! Isn’t it beautiful? It’s one of my favorite songs of his and at this point it’s no longer sad to me. It’s a reminder that we all have these kinds of days and feelings, but they’re temporary and bad times come to an end, too. His singing amps me up at the end.
NF has carried me thru my darkest days, i hate that he’s went thru so much turmoil in his life, but without it we wouldn’t have him. And he’s been our voice, he’s the voice for the voiceless.
Just wanted to say, I respect everyone's opinions but I'm seeing a lot of people telling you how you should do this journey and I hope you just do it however you feel like doing it. Order is great, skipping to a good song and then coming back is great, winging it is great. Whatever happens, things will connect in the end and you should just go through it however you feel like. I'm not saying people shouldn't make suggestions, or that you shouldn't take them, but also... remember that no matter how you do it, someone's gonna have an issue. There's gonna be someone wanting you to get to the best bits already and another someone wanting you to do every song in order. Just go with what YOU want, yeah? I just hope you aren't feeling pushed and pulled into changing things because other people want you to. This is YOUR experience that we have chosen to watch and you'll probably love it no matter how you do it. And that's all that matters. I'm here for the ride however it goes.

When I first encountered this song, it had a profound impact on me. Despite thinking I was holding it all together, this particular song touched me so deeply that I found myself pulling over in my car, overwhelmed by emotions, and burst into tears.
This song helped me through some of the grieving in a dark place. NFs music has helped me get up and move forward in my life. Thank you for following his journey.
7:50 I still can’t get through this track without tears welling up, this song was one of my first introductions to NF… and this man cracked open my tear ducts that had been closed off since infancy, for reference even when my Grandmother died the woman who ment the world to me I could only shed a hand full of tears and claimed it was leaking not crying that I was doing due to my family’s view on emotion and weakness… This song completely changed my mind frame and started me on the journey to finding my hope, just as wake up caused me to start question the abusive marriage I was getting ready to enter and literally run to save my life! Seeing someone like yourself react to certain areas of this song so deeply like many of us outcasts have is so deep, thank you for including us in your journey and appreciating it so much!!!
All the hope, yet fear of losing it, winning out. Fear is a normal reaction, just don't allow it to consume you. The line in chalk outlines plays in my mind often; _"I'm scared of being okay, 'cause all things change..."_ Change is daunting, and old comforts die hard but it at the same time removes all possibility of things changing for the *better.* We're all so very proud of you ♡

I'm almost finished with college now and life is a lot better than it was back then, and Nathan Feurstein's music almost single-handedly got me through it all. My friend introduced me to him at first with the songs Let You Down, Lie, and Outcast (Let You Down and Outcast are both referenced visually in the song Hope) and they were fantastic. I forgot about NF until I this song came on randomly while I was struggling to get out of bed and I binged his music that day. They say that NF's albums represent the stages of grief, which I also think is true in a sense because I swear he has a song for every emotion: sadness, anger, happiness, motivation, heartbreak, etc. Hope you enjoy the journey man.

Yeah you will absolutely break more than once on this journey. I am 41 and I broke down into tears in front of my daughters just explaining a song/video of his to my wife. I couldn't even finish, my oldest had to finish for me.
By the time my brother died, I had buried a son and and my dad. I stood quiet when my brother died. 2 years ago I found out my dad wasn't my dad at 39 and it sent me even deeper into depression. I had to numb a part of me to deal with it, and my wife and kids have paid that price.I have enjoyed these journeys with you because it is helping me relearn to process my emotions and feel certain things. It has become my therapy in a sense, so thank you. There is more to it but too much to type. Just glad to be a part of this community, and these journeys.
2018 I found myself at the bottom of a dark hole that I couldn't get out of. This song perfectly puts into words how I was feeling at that time and I was able to share it with my friends and family so that they could better understand what I was going through. NF so eloquently put into words exactly what depression is.
I am blasting running right now and I can't wait till you catch up to this song. Literally the last song on his albums and honestly what you should top the journey with. It will bring to tears but they are good tears.

Not saying I don't love all the songs but the 60 song "journey" can be condensed to like 10 songs and then you are free to dive thru all of his catalog quicker. But I'm here for the "journey" anyway.
