You can tell that Hussie really understood internet friendship culture from the way this reads. It's so unique but also very relatable for people who had all their friends online in the late early 2010s. For as much as a trainwreck Homestuck it, there is a comfort in seeing that this kind of communication was preserved in fiction.

MrRocde Just watch ColabHQ. Once you hear them voice act all of homestuck (sorta right now its just act 1 to act 6 act 5 intermission something. Right before Openbound.) Once you do you cant get those voices out of your head.

@Beatriz da Costa despite this being 3 years ago i would like to point out that cussing is kind of different from using slurs at least i think it is and im pretty sure ALMOST nobody there can reclaim that slur which makes it worse at the fact that it was used in the video but many people could definitely be angry at that (not saying im hating on the person who posted this video, but yeah) and i get that they are teens but even that means they should at least be educated in terms of slur usage it would be an excuse if they were yknow, 7 or something like real young but it still doesnt matter the fact that the r slur was used in the video and wasnt able to be taken back is kind of odd

i dont think andrew is trying to normalize these slurs, just because they say it does not mean he thinks its ok. ofc he might have back when this was first created and the internet was a lot edgier, but nowadays i dont think he would think the same.

I haven't read Homestuck in years, but I'm giving it another read because I guess it was just time. I hit this page in the comic and INSTANTLY remembered this video. Had to come back to pay my respects. It's been around 7 years since I've looked at Homestuck fan content, and I had to make sure this one was the first in my new run.
My life is completely different now, but this is still a masterpiece. Thanks for putting this together.

Are all of these voices done by the same girl? That's pretty impressive if so! I've actually been wanting to do a fandub myself for this same memo since its one of my favorites, but couldn't bring myself to try for fear of my voice being too cringey for the male characters (although I have so much fun doing them). In any case, great work on the part of the VA, and I especially enjoyed Karkat and Nepeta.
