We want to showcase different games each time, so that is why we chose to not include the same ones over again even if we played them this month as well!
I missed completely what games you talked about during the first 3 categories. Would like to see a title + cover display there too ;-) Love these videos otherwise though, kutgw! 🙂
Did not buy Kutna Hora or Hard to get even tho it was on my list for Essen, but definitely checking it out again 😊 (and pirates of maracaibo) 😁 Great video 🥳
Great games! With so many games coming out at Spiel, it's impossible to get them all. We missed a few that I would have loved as well! Glad you enjoyed the video :D
Hmm poop. Looks like I'm getting pirates of Maracaibo. I'd love your thoughts on the new releases in ranking if you guys get more plays in. I'm very interested in Evacuation but also somewhat interested in Kutna Hora. Living costs being what they are I'm definitely not getting all the hot games but 1 MAYBE 2 should be OK....
Hello, what are your thoughts on Satori, the new spanish release. Is it the same kind of game as White Castle or something different and meatier? Thank you!
We onlly played it once so far, so I need to play it a few more times to know for sure how I feel. First impressions were good, but not amazing! Hope that helps :)
We have only played once so far! We hope to get some content out on it as soon as possible :) So many games to choose from after Spiel, so it’s hard to know what everyone is excited to see :)
Good point! I am sad we got that rule wrong, and even though it would make me like the game more, it wasn’t my main reason for not liking the game. (And I didn’t dislike the game btw, just didn’t love it :) ) Also it was on this list as a disappointment, one I really hoped to like, but then it turned out I didn’t love it as much as I hoped for! A good game with some very cool mechanisms, but with some randomness I’m not a big fan of :)
Come Sail Away is hands down the game of the year for me. Lovely fun abstract game. (Horseless Carriage gets the heavy game award from me). Rats of Wistar is such a weird game...the iconography is insanely bad and the topic is badly pasted on. No fun for me at all. There are way too many games like this, these days - point salad, too many mechanisms intertwining, bloated rule sets and iconography, bad thematic integration but all with beautiful shiny components.
What an honour, Pirates of Maracaibo being #1 on your list among all those great games.
Wel deserved! So much fun :D Thanks again for another great game!
Games in "Fun & Surprises":
- Pan T'es Mort
- Jekyll & Hyde vs Scotland Yard
- Celtae
- Come Sail Away!
Kutna Hora is indeed a great game ! I love it. Another great game that we`ve played in this month was "Trolls and Princesses".
Glad to hear you enjoyed Trolls and Princesses! We have it on our (way to big) pile of games to play and cover 😅
Always love your enthusiasm, even for sad-face games 🙂
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video :D
Very interested to try Hard To Get, especially after your recommendation.
It is super fun! :D
I love your monthly recap videos! I was very surprised based on your review that Evacuation did not crack either of your top 3 games for the month.
We forgot to mention in this one, but since it was in last months list, we didn’t include it in this months list :) Hope that makes sense!

Glad you liked Celtae. I told you to pick that up.😊
Yes, thank you for that! Super quick, and so good!
I'm glad that both of you had Maracaibo as your first choice! I have it and I can't wait to play it!!
I hope you’ll love it! It’s super fun! 🤩

I will absolutely add that next time! Hope it’s clear if you go back and watch it again :) Glad you are enjoying the videos! Thank you 🤩
Wow, that's a ton of games! The commitment 👏
We had such a fun month! Already looking forward to November :D Thank you for watching!
Jekyll + hyde vs. Scotland yard is great!!
It really is 😁
A lot of Age of innovation in october !
Oh and 3 game of Apiary so far ! Pretty fun too 😊
AoI is amazing! :D Glad to hear you've been enjoying Apiary! We hope to play that one soon!
Someone forgot her BGR shirt.
Haha, I try to wear it almost every time, so that people don't forget which channel they are watching :P
Great video and wow that are some insane stats! I was on the fence with the Jekyll and Hyde game but you've convinced me 😂
Haha, glad you enjoyed our insane gaming :D Jekyll & Hyde is fantastic! Thanks for watching :D

Haha, sorry about that 😅
We will do our top 20 at the end of the year, and we also plan to do a video ranking all the games we played from 2023 :)
I need to try Pirates of Maracaibo!
It’s super fun 🥳
Excellent video. If you had played nuclear in October would it have made top 3? We are really enjoying that game.
I think it was in our top 3 in September :) We try not to overlap! :)

Was hoping to hear your thoughts on Satori but it didn't make top or bottom picks.
We have only played once so far! We hope to get some content out on it as soon as possible :) So many games to choose from after Spiel, so it’s hard to know what everyone is excited to see :)
Really curious about what you think of Djinn?
Review filmed! Will be out next week hopefully 🤩
@@BoardGamingRamblings great news. Can't wait.
But wasn’t a major reason you disliked Rats of Wistar that you got a pretty big rule wrong?

If you're going to play this many games in a month, I'm going to have to buy a bigger computer monitor!
Haha, sorry 😂

Love both of your picks! I played Come Sail Away solo today, abd it worked really great as well!
