Thank you for this lovely review. I’m so happy that you like our game and all these little details you mentioned. Having been a fan of your channel for so long, it’s surreal to watch this review.
Great review, I see some similarities with fit to print with the tile laying aspect and placement rules. I would prefer this one for the asthetic look and non real time draw with auctioning. The look of the final board is so pleasing... Thanks for the review...
LOVE Fit to Print but this has a lower rules overhead and simpler scoring which makes it a bit easier to table. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
What a delightful game! I love art, and the art about the art in this game. Theme-wise I would change different museums vying to exhibit the paintings -- I dread private collectors hiding art away out of sight from the public. Nice video.
Off-hand, seems like a simple "bot" could fill-in for a third player to add tension for 2-player. Something like, random draw from a stack of paddles for the bot's bid and the lowest human bidder chooses the painting for the bot. Bot doesn't score, just makes bidding less predictable. Great review as always.
Yes that would be possible to make it a bit more interesting but still we do love the human dynamics in the game (we played this tonight with a friend who loves to hate draft but luckily that's quite hard to do too much in this game!) 😀 Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you very much for showing and talking about this game. It's very attractive and easy. I am definitely gonna get it cause it's perfect fit for my family.
Wow....i must have this game now. Unfortunately all my usual shops I buy from onky have the game on pre-order. I cant wait to get it. It looks absolutely stunning and 110% my kind of game.
Awesome vid as always. Totally sold me on, it looks like a great game and as mentioned it fits across a lot of experience levels so it can go in a game night I have with middle or low weight players, but could still interest my heavy player friends, and I have no doubt my mother could pick it up in no time. Thank you for letting us know!
We introduced it to yet another light gaming friend tonight and two rounds in she was googling how to buy it. It just has that charm about it!!! Thanks for watching as always and hope you've been well? ❤️
@@ThinkerThemer Everything's been great, just very busy and hoping to be more active, but you're content is always an uplift even on challenging days. Hope I can run into again if you're at any cons in NA
I recently discovered your channel and it’s causing me problems, because this is the fourth game in a row you’ve covered that I now want to buy. Please tone down your enthusiasm.
Arg! I saw so many people walking around with this at Essen and wasn't sharp enough to think to snag a copy. 😖Terrific review, as always and if I may say that's a lovely sweater you're wearing Amy. 🤗
We should've cracked this open to play together!!! Not enough hours (and not enough stamina from us these days lolllll). Thanks for the lovely compliment 🥰😊
If you are ever in Philadelphia, check out the Barnes Foundation (Museum). Great artwork and this game reminds me of his style; no victory points were lost for empty spots.
Mechanically, the only similarity to MA I can see is how manipulating the piece in the museum dictates the value of a type of art (which in MA is the equivalent of the artist). So while in MA , it's easy to drive up the value of one artist by having everyone play cards from same artist, this game dictates value by artists that DON'T get picked, which avoids the natural tendency to follow suit with other players in MA.
So the trick-taking bit of revealing your paddles is just like the latter half of For Sale. The like-colour bonus is like Dream Home's set collection incentive pieces you earn for additional points only after meeting a condition. The building of the wall is sort like like Dream Home or other Set collections where you have a vested interest in selecting certain pieces.
It's absolutely delightful and achieves everything it sets out to do... but for me personally a more tense punishing puzzle is always one I will rate higher! Nothing bad to say about this though, it's been a hit (we played it again tonight and again our friend was googling how to buy it 😄). Thanks for watching!
Hmm quite a different style of tension here with the bidding element I think. Also as mentioned this is better at higher player counts because of that (versus patchwork which is designed for 2). A large part of the charm of this one is the beauty of the final wall... it is a bit more interesting visually. Thanks for watching!

Aww thank you so much (for watching for so long and for working on making games like this one!) ❤️
Great review! I am hooked. This is my next purchase. 😀
I've been thinking about preordering this! Thank you so much for making this review!
You're so welcome, thanks for watching!

This is my kind of bidding game...one where you may not get what you want but you get something! Looks so nice...

Great presentation, ladies!

😅 Sorrrry!!!! 2023 is such a great year for games!! Thanks for watching, lovely to have you here 😊
Another great review! 🎉
Thank you! ❤️

This game looks super fun and it is just the type my friends and I enjoy, craving is strong right now.
Haha well we hope you and your friends get a chance to try it! 😄 Thanks for watching!

Didn’t he make you do a course in art appreciation before you were allowed to look at the pictures?!
Thanks for the tip!
Maggie - another awesome shirt.
Me: I’m going to stop buying games until the new year.
Also me: *adds to cart* 💸💸💸 😅
How does this compare to modern art bidding game from Knizia? THXs Frank
I have the same question

love the video :)

The auction part with the paddles has nothing to do with "trick-taking" lol
Was expecting a much higher score from Amy after all those accolades and compared to how she’s scored other games.

What happens when the bids are tied in the first round?
Great question! You use the randomly selected turn order paddles to break the tie (the white paddles). Thanks for watching!
How does it feel to play compared to Patchwork?
