I am a gamer that loves listening to UA-cam channels discussing games while i am playing. I know it's weird. I'll be catching up on all your videos the next few months. Keep up the good work, enjoy your channel.
New to all things boardgames and finding my favourite are x and writes and so basically sat by my email waiting for a Hadrian’s Wall restock notification 😂
I played White Castle with some friends yesterday (four players). We absolutely love the game. The game seems way better at higher headcount. The only small feedback is having more resources at the beginning helps a lot with all the combo actions.
Not a solo gamer but my wife is. I texted her about Eila and Something Shiny and found out she has already pre-ordered it. :) Thanks for the great video.
It’s been a while since I watched a video of yours. I have recently got back to solo gaming. I appreciate you for making content and love watching you live when our times align! Not trying to demean or hate just wanting to point out a fact that after 20 plays of Hadrians wall under 80 points while playing on Easy,(you mentioned the threshold is only 2x in the campaign),then go on to dislike the AI in White Castle being too hard after 1 play it leaves me confused. I don’t really know what to do with this information.
From what I remember, last time I scored about 80 in Hadrian’s wall I got lucky in the market and got 3 landmarks. I don’t think I’ve seen any game where someone got above 80 without getting 3 of the 4 landmarks
Thank you for your recommendations! I love your videos! I’m debating between Tiny Towns and Forever Home. Which do you gravitate more towards? (I’d love to see a comparison video 😊 )
Concerning the White Castle AI; you can just ignore the 'extra card' rule. As in, just resolve the effect of the card you flip, even if you're flipping multiple cards. Then it's actually quite a decent AI.
Re White Castle: I have not broken in my copy yet, but I will take another UA-camrs advice to use the AI simply for simulating the placing dice and workers of another player and just play it as beat your own score. I think the gameplay is solid and crunchy enough to make BYOS a fun solo experience.
Yeah, yeah I'm feeling like a star, you can't stop my shine I'm lovin' cloud nine, my head's in the sky I'm solo I'm ridin' solo I'm ridin' solo I'm ridin solo, solo (yeah) ≈=================== The built in AI for White Castle is too hard. I created a botless solo variant for it. The adjustment needs to be made to it.
Do you have any recommendations for games that are very interactive for multiplayer bit can also be played solo. I love solo games but really don't like multiplayer solitaire games.
How does the search for the planet X play solo? I was thinking about getting it but may buy Turing machine instead because it seems to play better at solo. Thanks!
It was fun, you play against a bot that acts like another player moving around the board making guesses. I haven’t played it with other people. There’s no indicator telling you if the bot is close to winning or not. I played it only once and lost lol. I’d like to try again though!! 😊
1st! Anyways Jenna, just finished my 1st playthru of Eila earlier today & I didn't get the happy ending sadly 🥲 Beware of the brutal resource management tho, especially the final chapter 😰
I'm so glad you mentioned the forever home game. My best friend has a dream to have a dog home for adopting dogs. I'm totally getting this for her.

Glad you're enjoying the adventure with Eila so far!
I've been playing Disney Villainous solo! there is a great variant on BGG with a grid, lots of fun! nicely balanced, i have won and lost a bunch
So wonderful to hear you're enjoying Forever Home!

I’m keen to try the HW solo campaign. Thanks for the video.

Oh wow I never noticed Hadrians Wall was designed by that kid from King of the Hill!
That’s my purse!

In September I have been playing Isofarian Guard (finished the 2nd Campaign) and started playing Voidfall (4 times solo).
You made me excited for Portals (but releases on 7th November)

I’m playing Ark Nova nonstop on BGA (solo) and I can’t get enough!

I love HW! I play easy (it’s more relaxing that way!😅) I get high points by doing the market and scouting. It such a fun relaxing game!
We like The White Castle
18:24 Does that mean you don't like the burgers, either?
Yeah, yeah
I'm feeling like a star, you can't stop my shine
I'm lovin' cloud nine, my head's in the sky

I may have played Hadrian's wall 20 times on BGA 😂lol

21:52 Dragon Eclipse
Sadly only two solo plays last month: Final Girl, and Search for Planet X 😊

Forever Home's vibe is SO wholesome. 🥹 I'm going to hunt for it.
