It sure is! I felt like I was in heaven today! lol
I love using up book pages, we all have so many! I will go check out Penny Rose, ty for sharing her channel! I am always using prescription bags in my journals, lol.
Hi hi Lorri! Excited to see you here! Have been following your channel for a while but haven't seen you on lately. I remember an old navy book you showed a while back. So so gorgeous! Ahh yes, the never ending book pages, I am forever trying to use them up aswell lol. And the prescription bags lol; I have so many of them because my elderly father keeps them for me lol. I coffee dyed a bunch the other week and they turned out really nice. So much junk in our everyday lives just perfect for junk journals! 😊💚
Awww thanks Bonny for the shout out. A lot of your lovely followers popped over to see what I do. I am very grateful. The first time saw your channel I also laughed along thinking it was like watching myself, its like finding your lost twin online 😆 and yes, I'd keep that itty bitty half of a scrap too. Its an illness at this point but I love it regardless.
Yay I am glad some people popped over! The more we spread the recycle bug the better. Time to get the junk back in junk journals lol. Haha I knew you'd keep that little scrap too, and I also have a bin for the bits that are teeeeny tiny to make recycled paper. When I hear you say that aswell on your channel gave me a giggle. I am happy others also have the same illness as me lol 😂💚
going to check you out now lol
Thank you Stella! 😊💚
Hi, I have popped over and subscribed as well love what I’m seeing so far xx
Thank you Marlo! I knew you would love her style! 😊💚

Thank you so much! Oh my gosh, I have soooo many book pages aswell. I feel like they breed over night. Every day I wake up and there seems to be more lol. Ohhh I can't wait to see your other idea! I'm always excited to have another way to use up some pages! lol 😄💚
Yay Bonny’s back 🤗 Good to see ya girl 😍 Love these journal cards 🍂
Popping over to check out Penny Rose now 👍 Tfs 🌻🌻
Thanks Kristina! I think I say I am back every couple of months haha. Hopefully this time I am actually BACK back. I need to move to a remote island where I can craft all day and not have to worry about real life lol 😂. Thanks for popping over to Penny Rose Journals. I love her style and always great to find another recycler ☺💚
I love making crap like this too! Then, people BUY them from me and I don't understand why they do because it is so much fun to make them! 🤣 I love that stamp! I have some lace border stamps that I might try on something like this!
Hahaha yeh I love simple projects like this lol. I actuality buy handmade journal cards etc on Etsy even though I can make them myself lol. For some reason other peoples always look and feel nicer lolol. Oohhh lace border stamps would be nice! Haha can you believe I was drawing these leaves for the longest time until I realised it was a stamp that people were using! 😂😂💚
Well I just stumbled across you and I’m so glad I did!
Thank you so much Barbi! I am a recycle only crafter and I don't buy anything new other than paint, ink and glue, so you will see a lot of book page projects and food packaging projects on my channel because I have a never ending supply of them lol. I really love quick, easy projects like this. Always brings me joy to use up some of those never ending book pages and little paper scraps lol 😄💚
Great video
Thank you Rita! I enjoy the quick easy projects and always feels good to use up some of those never ending little paper scraps lol 😄💚
Glue pages lol 😂 so naughty! Good to see you, yes you have been MIA but nice to see you back, thanks for another great idea xx
Hehe that book was extra naughty lol. The naughty pages seem to be finding me lately lol 😂💚
These are great. I too am a fan of Penny Rose journals, love her recycling ethos.I found your channel through watching Kirstens. I have been inspired by you to collage an old phone book.I am also guilty of using Hungry Jack bags in journals. I paint and draw on the striped side.
Thank you so much Lucy! I was so happy to find her channel. Love the recycling ethos aswell. Hehe so glad you are collaging an old phone book too. I only had a thin one; imagine if we still had those big giant phone books like we had years ago lol. The collaged pages have come in handy for making little notebooks, tags etc. I love using all those teeny tiny scraps up! 😄💚
Hi Bonnie, just discovered your channel. I am mostly using junk, too, always great to "meet" a fellow recycler! Greetings from Germany!🙂 Nicole 🌼
Thank you Nicki! I really love the challenge of making a journal just from junk. So fun! I am already a subbie of yours. Found you a month or two ago 😊. Oh, I have lots of German books and encyclopedias that were given to me. Actually, the Sunflower journal I just made was from a small German book. It was gorgeous. I used the small spine to make a bookmark to pop in the German. I have no idea what it says but the writing is lovely. 😊💚
@@BonnyAndClive Oh, thank you so much for beeing a subscriber to my channel! I love books in foreign languages, too, especially dictionaries! Have a fun crafty day!🥰
You're welcome and thank you for stopping by and commenting! 😊🌻
Two videos! Yay! The other channel doesn’t sound familiar, but I am excited to find another recycler. I don’t think I’ve bought any paper yet this year?? Crazy for me. 😂💙💙💙
Haha yeh two in a row; the earth tilted on it's axis! lol. Yay I am so proud of you for not buying any paper this year yet . Is this a record? Can you make it to three months? You can do it! 😄💚
@@BonnyAndClive I am pretty sure I can do 3 months, but I have a big trip in April so 4 months looks iffy. Does it count if it’s all second hand?? 😂💙
@@CraftingandRelaxing Hehe second hand is ok! I figure that someone else has discarded it so it counts as true junk lol. Actually, my first ever scrap book paper purchase was from a second hand charity store. They had 4 books, still new in plastic. I bought them 4 years ago but still haven't used them up because they have weird patterns with pineapples and watermelons and bright colourful patterns lol I think I need to coffee dye them all so that I will finally use them lol
Just perfect journal cards, they give you the freedom to write or use as you want. Happy Days Bonny!
Thank you lovely Pirjo! You know I just love quick and easy and using up book pages and little paper scraps lol. Gives me such satisfaction lol. Hope you are enjoying your retirement and finding lots to do! ☺💚💚
Great idea for using up more book pages!!!!! These cards are really neat looking!!!! I like how you mass produce! That's really the way to do it!!!!
Thank you Betty! I like quick and easy ephemera to pop in junk journals. Always great to make a whole bunch to have ready to use, and it's always great to be able to use up more book pages and scraps, since we are all drowning in them lol 😂💚
Glad to see you back Missed you. Great idea I never thought to 'look' for the half blank pages of a book to use as a journal card, good one. Now im going to check out fellow aussie Penny Rose. Take care and see you again soon i hope.
Thank you Helen! I love using up those book pages. I have way too many lol. Thanks for heading over to Kirstins channel. Always great to find another Aussie crafter. Can't wait for you to get your channel up and running! 😊💚
@@BonnyAndClive yep ive had so much happening, a bit like you. Anyway ill call you in a few weeks. Heading to perth for a family funeral for a couple of weeks tomorrow. cheers
Oh Helen, so sorry to hear that. Best wishes to you and your family. Thinking of you all 💚💚
@@BonnyAndClive will do take care hon
🥰
"It was quite naughty" 😂👍🤣
Tsk tsk Bonny 😁
Hahaha I seem to be attracting the naughty books lately. You should see the pic I posted on my Community Page on UA-cam. Talk about NAUGHTY!! lol 🤣💚
@@BonnyAndClive Can't see it, your latest is your Feather Tags vid notification.
It's the post just under the feather one lol
Hi Bonny, UA-cam put you up on my viewing list, so glad they did. It is nice to find fellow Aussies here. The recycling idea with the glue book pages is a good one, I've been doing this for ages, they make very good thick cards or tags. So good to meet you.
Hi hi Lyn! Thank you so much! I love finding other little Aussie channels too, especially if they are recyclers! Oh the never ending glue book pages...I tried to use junk mail for a while because I had too make glue book pages to use up lol. I like that they make nice thick journal cards too, and there is a never ending supply of blank paper scraps to back it with so that they can be written on. I find great satisfaction using up book pages and scraps lol 😄💚
These are perfect Bonny! I made my first three signature journal and am struggling to fill it. These will make great fillers for any style of journals. Tyfs ❤
Thank you Phyllis! Congrats on your first journal! I am so happy these will help fill your journals. They're so easy to make and no need to go out purchasing any special or expensive supplies. I really love recycling and these are a great way to use up book pages and those little scraps of papers that are always left over from trimming pages etc. 🙂💚
New subscriber here. You got me on “I don’t buy new papers”.
Thank you so much Ann! I really love using whatever junk happens to cross my path in day to day life. I love the challenge of trying to make useable journals out of rescued books, junk papers, old clothing food packaging.. oh the list goes on lol. 😄💚
@@BonnyAndClive Yes, 100%. Here’s to putting the junk back into junk journals!
I’ve been trying to find my junk journal style. And I think I’ve been struggling because most people I watch add printables and bought papers, and I almost feel overwhelmed with all the pattern. And I can also feel that all my junk isn’t enough. Which is confusing as I have some really lovely junk (far too much of it if the truth be told!)
But after watching this video I just had a go at making some simple journal cards. Not like yours exactly but the same colour range, just a few book pages and some neutral scraps. And I feel as if my style might be starting to emerge.
I’m going to work my way through your videos for more inspiration. Thank you.
I totally understand what you mean! I found a few scrapbook papers at a charity shop a few years ago and I actually struggle to use them; I feel like I don't know what to do with them and they don't fit into my grungy journals lol. But, I do feel I need something to pretty up my junk lol. Mostly I just use postage stamps, pictures from encyclopedias and I have a few rubber stamps and a couple of punches lol. But it does the job and I love the challenge! I hope you find some videos n my channel that you enjoy. I must admit I do like quick and easy and I often ramble on to much! LOL 😂💚
I love them! Leaves & trees are my, well maybe my totem, I guess you could say. Not just my “jam” like a lot of people say about what their favorite thing is. It’s spiritual too. Hard to explain, but maybe you know what I mean! At any rate, I love that row of leaves! Beautiful, really! AND, I found 2 new things to save! Actually one was my son’s idea & I really can’t believe I didn’t think of it sooner! Do your fruits & vegetables come with little stickers on them, usually just identifying either the name of it or the name of the company. They’re about the size of a small postage stamp. I always take them off before I wash the fruit/veggie, so I don’t miss the spot where the sticker was, but I never thought to keep them!🙄Can you believe that? Then this next one is really exciting! (Probably only to me & maybe you) We can buy juice concentrate that comes frozen in a cardboard container, with 2 metal ends. You have to pull off a strip of narrow white plastic to open the can. Well, the plastic is all rippled from being pulled off, can you guess what it is now?! It’s plastic ribbon!! I was so excited when I saw it! (Of course, how many have I thrown away?)🙁 Someone explained to me that I couldn’t use my ribbon scraps in a true junk journal because they weren’t junk to begin with. What do you think about that? Well, now I have junk ribbon!! Stupid crazy, right?! I can hardly wait to make something with it! Haha! I think you’re contagious & I just caught it!! Have a great weekend! Erica❤
Oh that plastic ribbon sounds so good! Gah tell that person it would normally have been thrown away so it is so junk! lol. It's amazing what we start seeing to use in our journals or crafts once we start using junk. Pretty soon, we see everything as crafting materials!! lol. Our fruit comes with those little stickers too, and guess what? I save them also! lol. I have so many and I keep forgetting to use them. I will try to start using some in each journal now that you reminded me! 😄💚
@@BonnyAndClive haha! I thought you would! “Good minds think alike”!! ❤️
I kinda peel the labels and stickers off everything lol. I especially love boxes received in the mail from overseas, that have all the postal stickers on them 😄💚
I used to draw those leaves as well, until I came across it as an old wooden stamp.
Haha I can't believe for the longest time I thought people were drawing it lol. It's easy enough to draw I suppose, but handy to have that stamp so we can just stamp stamp stamp away 😄💚🌼
Hi Bonnie! I love your crap cards!!!!!
Hehe thanks Dale!! You know I love love love using up book pages and sCraps lol. 😄💚
Well well look who back LOL LOL nice to see you lol lol where's my Clivey
I keep saying I'm back but then disappearing again. I am pretty sure I am back this time lol. Clivey that fat cat has been busy sleeping all day 😂💚
Film that sunflower journal lol 😂
I know, I am so slack! lol. I finally filmed it this afternoon and will upload the video tomorrow. I need to edit it a bit because I waffle on so much 🤣💚
Bonny! These are adforable....I did one with you while i watched :)
I will leave a photo for you in Raels discord.
Thanks so much for sharing
Hi hi Dusty! Thank you so much! If you make journals for a few more years, you will see why we are forever trying to use up book pages and small paper scraps lol. They are never ending! 😄💚
That poor mat lol
Hahahaha yes, that poor mat has been through some rough times lol. I did buy a new one but keep forgetting to change it lol. I give the new one two weeks before it looks like the old one 🤣🤣
@@BonnyAndClive you're a shocker. I finally bought myself the Tim Holtz mixed media glass mat. Can't wait to get it.
Hahaha Stella you know me lol. I don't use it for measurements or anything; its more just to guide me whether I am still in camera frame or not lol. I want to get one of those giant ones though so I have some more room. I think glass would annoy me because it would make that clinky noise every time I drop my scissors or something on it lol. Stellllllaaaaaaa I really wish you'd open a UA-cam channel! 💚💚
@@BonnyAndClive lol, I am pretty messy so see how I go with the glass one as well. yeah yeah, I will put something on you tube one of these years 😀
Squeeeee do it do it! 😁💚
