I love potato salad, goes good with New England Baked Beans and Red Hot dogs. Great recipe, I am going to add relish in my next one. Thanks for sharing!
@@grammarosesopenpantry2729 It’s really Boston baked beans, but I call them New England Baked Beans, here is the recipe: 2 cups kidney beans 2 cups navy beans 10 cups of water 1 tsp. Salt 1 large Onion chopped Half pound Salt Pork cut into 1” cubes One third cup molasses Three fourths cup ketchup Three fourths cup dark brown sugar 1 T. Dry mustard Rinse and sort beans, Place Beans, water, salt, onion, and salt pork in a large crockpot and cook on low for 13-15 hours, or overnight until beans are tender. Enjoy!!
My mom also fixed her potato salad mostly mashed also. There were times if she was going to fix a quick side dish just for us she would fix a small bowl made with instant potatoes. We loved it.😊
Looks really good I love potato salad I'm from the north and I make it just like you do except for I don't I don't know if you have hot peppers or just regular peppers I like the regular peppers I don't like anything hot😊
Love potato salad but I boil mine skin on and peel them after wards it just gives it a good flavor I remember one time I had mayo but ran out so I added ranch dressing it was so good that's the way I make it now
Oh my goodness I love you Grandma Rose! I can’t believe I just found you. Your food looks delicious. I’m cooking the taco casserole for dinner tomorrow night. I love refried beans and I think I am going to make a layer of that on top of the corn tortilllos. I also thought about making thin fried corn bread and really depends on how I feel tomorrow. I am like you and add what I like. Everybody likes different. I love Mexican but not the spices so I usually just use garlic, salt and pepper. I am so glad I found you! You are the best and I love when you say oh y’all it is so gooood!
That all sounds wonderful.. That’s what makes a great cook. Taking what you like and making a recipe yours. When I used to compete in competitions, as long as you changed 3 main ingredients, the recipe became yours..🌹
