Thank you. I have a 2” x 72” belt sander. It is shown here and how i built it on my channel. Its one of the older videos. Anyway, i can take the backing plate off. This gives me room to polish the inside of the spur band with various grits of belts. Using a thin paper belt…it will fold and curve with the inside of band as you work it around it. Thats how I do that. But I may show this in further detail soon, because I know it is a puzzling matter at times.
