Love this property!! I can tell a lot of thought went into the design for living and the garage/storage space. I especially loved the use of light wood and how they broke it up with drywall. That gives it such a classy appeal IMO. Office space in the half bath..... Yup , so Maine! 😁
Wow...this is a home. While I watched this, I had the feeling that this would be a house my father would have designed and my mother furnished. One thing I really liked was the 2nd floor laundry room...when we designed our house in Smyrna, DE, my mom insisted that it be on the 2nd floor rather than the basement. When my dad and the builder asked why she replied, "I don't want to carry the laundry down two floors to wash it and then two floors up to put it away! If you...men...did laundry you'd understand this!" Yes...Mom was a spitfire! Dad caved in but insisted on commercial grade steel framing and floor support and the hand made brick, so there was some give and take. Do you know how often they have to have the propane refilled and whether it would be possible to expand the tank farm to allow for a year's worth of use (should it be needed)?
*United Country Lifestyle Properties of Maine* You said it, sure is a beautiful place & enough land to go along with it. The generator is a big plus as well. Thank-you sir for taking the time to show us around. GOD Bless.
Way more than a "cabin." Very, very nice. Comfortable. Well finished. Yes I know how to play Cribbage. My grandmother taught me. Her family, including my dad, used to play way back during WWII when most of the Eastern US was under black-out orders after 6PM. They had an indoor area away from any windows and would play every night while listening to the radio. They also played Hearts and something they called Peaknuckle (?) which I believe required a special deck.
Property taxes on a million dollar home only $1200 a year. That’s crazy. What’s the catch. Is there an additional school tax? How does Maine fund public education? I live in rural Vermont on a lake. My home is assessed at $450,000 and my combined property and school taxes ate $9000 a year. Maybe I need to move to Maine. Seriously, would like to know why taxes are so low.
Will I be able to put other buildings on this property?Looking to make like a family compound.Where they sleep in their own homes. Please come and back and is it still available
Obviously, not leaving it to their kids, or giving Irving a belated Birthday present. 😂 This is a very well thought out home. Beautiful. Someone is going to 🩷 this place.
great taxes, interior finishes aren't there for me for the price. There's value in the extra space, but it costs money to turn a garage into living space. No mention of a basement, and the boiler is in the garage, so this is slab on grade?
$1M. Do the $30 plastic Walmart Adirondack chairs convey with the property? People are out of their mind. $1M homes don’t have offices in the bathroom. The OSB is a really high end finish…
Beautiful property , But You guys need to stop raping people on these prices... That house value up till 3 months ago was 1/2 the asking price. Nothing but Greed
If I win Mega Millions tonight I'll call you in the morning.
House is beautiful!
Beautiful home and setting.
Ah... The old office/toilet combo... Classic.
They were consistent. They did it twice
Best ideas come when sitting on the toilet 😅
I play cribbage and grew up in Maine. Gorgeous place.

Beautiful property. Thanks for the tour.
I like this office idea! 🤣
Should do something similar in my house to increase remote working productivity 🤣🤣🤣
An office in the bathroom . . . . . . It's SO Maine!
how odd. would reconfigure some furniture placement
NEVER seen it, anywhere else.
A real house!

You could add a bigger propane tank

I'm sure I will be corrected by Peter if I'm wrong but real estate taxes will be accessed again after the sale for the new owner
Vermont has the 5th highest property taxes in the country. Ouch!
$1275 a yr based on a current $235k assessment . Taxes will be reassessed when some out of state fool pays a million dollars
Is that you Bernie. I think it's call 'paying your fair share'.
It's been recently raised to more than that, but there are virtually no municipal services up there.
I have played many games of cribage when I was younger.
That's pretty sweet . I can't find anything to criticize about this listing . 😡

Bring your plow for that driveway.

I be a cribbage player
Don't think you mentioned it, but why is the owner leaving such a beautiful place?
Obviously, not leaving it to their kids, or giving Irving a belated Birthday present. 😂

The owner is moving to Florida to be a full time trumper.

Having an office in the bathroom is convenient. You can take care of all of your business in one room.
15 2 15 4 and their aint no more
Nice property way over priced by 300k for that part of main

If you don't like the price, move on. Buy a nice townhouse in the city.
