She's a _little_ warm to the test bots by the second campaign. I remember she confides in them telling them how her greatest flaw was "she used to be too sympathetic to humans." Because Caroline was *such* an active voice in her head exactly once.
The fact that you can hear the accent through the voice changer just is something. I cant really describe what. Its just so interesting to hear glados with an accent like that.
The way the Companion Cube looks at the Rat Den paintings just revives my knack for Portal lore, when I thought I've seen it all I'm imagining Companion Cube in an edit and making my own theories of Maggie Sea's Portal Universe.
You know what? If Maggie wants to, she could do her little own AU where the Companion Cube (alongside Friends) try to find Rattman. Hell, maybe they succeed and find him still alive and then afterwards they help him escape because GLADOS sure won't like him.

Also, their little interaction about the incinerator kind of created a headcanon for me now: Sentry Turret doesn't like the Incinerator, because they are programmed to feel simulated pain, so while they can't be burned (all Aperture Science Technology is designed to stay functional up to 4000 Degrees Kelvin), it's still unpleasant. Companion Cube doesn't mind the Incinerator that much, mainly because they have thicker skin and because they're used to it by now, since they're incinerated at the end of every test, they appear in. Defective Turret meanwhile is, well, defective, so it's pain simulators don't work; hence, it doesn't feel the heat.

i think the reason why the companion cube looks neutral/ nostalgic when looking at the ratmans murals is because she remembers him
