Hi! My husband grabbed a 1/4” threaded metal rod from Home Depot and washers for the top and bottom (above and below the board). The board was a piece of wood, also from HD (12”x12”). The cake itself was sitting on a couple of inches of styrofoam - I purchased a half ball of Styrofoam from the craft store and shaved it into a football shape. I then covered the styro with candy melts. Hope that helps!
