    • @TheBuffNerd7539
      @TheBuffNerd7539  3 роки тому +2

      Start with the basics. Start gearing up to take the Comptia A+ Cert. From there go for your CCNA. With just those 2 certs alone you should become very network inclined. Get some experience on the helpdesk after the A+ and then start applying for networking jobs.. like a NOC analyst or Network Technician. From there the only way to go... is 👆

    • @TheBuffNerd7539
      @TheBuffNerd7539  3 роки тому

      Dive down networking first and then head towards cyber. All of the engineers I work along side with keep telling me cyber is the way to go because networking will slowly start getting automated out of existence lol. I believe we got about 5 years to utilize network roles as much as possible and then that area of the business will likely become more of a DEVOPS environment. Cyber is amazing... but understanding networks will always be essential.

  • @jordantaylor5552
    @jordantaylor5552 3 роки тому +1

    Cool channel man. I like how you spoke about networking with people. I got into IT while working in sales by asking the IT director of the company that I work for if there was a chance of me moving over to his team. He opened up a help desk position for me. He made it happen because of how I fit in with the company as a whole.
    Question for you.... what do you think of that CCNP 350-401 official cert guide? I’ve seen negative things on Amazon. Is it helping you? Have you noticed any errors?

    • @TheBuffNerd7539
      @TheBuffNerd7539  3 роки тому +1

      Yes I have noticed errors and it's a little unsettling. However it is not my only method of studying so I try not to worry about it too much. Getting the material from multiple avenues help bridge the inconsistency from the book. The cert guide, CBTnuggets, Boson etc..
