"Gun Ainm" Nameless - A Lament

This beautiful tune appears in Angus MacKay, Duncan Campbell and John MacDougall Gillies' Manuscripts, as well as in Ceol Mor and the modern MacArthur/McGregor book, Music of Scotland. The setting I play here however is taken directly from the MacArthur Manuscript, and contains many complex and sometimes unique finger movements.
The MacArthurs were considered only second to the MacCrimmons as teachers and pipers. The illustration is of the commemorative MacArthur cairn, which is situated close to where they set up their famous piping school in Peintgown, near Kilmuir, on Skye.

Lovely tune. I suspect deceptively difficult to master. People listening should look out the music and actually see some of the movements. Very nice indeed.
