I got chills when Nas described Wu-Tang as “timeless.”
He’s 💯 correct
2 words: Verbal Intercourse. Only real Wu heads will understand!
Lol Nas had rhyme of the month in the Source magazine with that song.
I heard verbal intercourse and immediately copped Illmatic the next day.
Respect
Nas verse on that is one of my favorite verses of all time
Nas in '95 was not to be messed with
Very appropriate that Nas should speak on the Wu, greatness recognizes greatness. One of the illest solo artists of all time acknowledging the illest group of all time. Both are synonymous with THE unforgettable golden age of the art form. The product coming out when these dudes were at their peak was timeless. Nas dropped arguably his illest verse on the purple tape. This brother is official Wu extended Family cuz of that shit. From the womb to tomb presume the unpredictable.

93-97 was the wu era. Their group albums after wu tang forever were quite wack to be honest.
Through the lights cameras and actions glamour glitter and gold...
Nas was the first rapper to enter the 36 chambers

NaS, Prodigy, Raekwon & Ghostface and The RZA changed New York slanguage FOREVER

Frantz Fuller new york hip hop is the best. Nas, biggie, wu tang mobb deep, joey badass, asap, 50 cent.
Johnathan Jaco I fucks wit everybody on that list except ASAP, lol he doesn’t belong on a list with the greats

@@Olyphantman ain't nobody in New York that's currently making better music than Rocky and it's been that way for years now.
mistahmst Fam.. You’re on that dirty laced diesel, mixed with 5 year old robotussin if you think ASAP dropped ANYTHING close to Joey Bada$$’s Amerikkkan Bada$$ album.
@@Olyphantman Live.Love.A$AP is better than any Joey Bada$$ album. You can argue about who's better lyrically, but Rocky has better and more memorable songs.
My two favorite albums of all time. Enter the 36 and Illmatic! Timeless!!!
I don't know bro. Wu-Tang Forever was tough 🤔

@@onewithsource9742 Word
If someone said in 95 the Wu added a new member and it was Nas I really believe the culture would've been like "Oh word1 That's seamless right there son. He fits nicely with them." Some artists who work with others simply have chemistry and mutual respect of each other's craft. There's an element of competition there but nothing toxic. Remember Smiff n Wessun said "I shine, you shine", get it?
Mobb Deep, Nas and Wu also made a classic with "Eye for Eye". Rae and Ghost tagging teaming that track was insane, Nas with the "a drug dealer's dream" then Mobb reminded everyone this is our track and they went in! I love that eery track Havoc produced for that joint.
I grew up in Htown and Nas is my favorite rapper..they were like you like east coast rap. Wu Tang, Tribe called Quest, busta, Mobb Deep ...and more .yes I love it!!
H-town rap is my favorite sub genre, but Nas is my favorite rapper of all time.
Im from Houston and grew up on NAS
Send me your email i will sens you some dope east coast artist
I went to see Nas at the House of Blues the year he released Streets Disciple. ODB recently passed and Nas said a few words on ODB and Wu and he played shimmy shimmy ya. it was awesome.

Absolutely nailing Of mics and men. Thank you. Legends of hip hop. I’m 42 now and this fills me with pure joy. I miss those days. My son is now 13 and we are building a little recording studio together. His appreciation of the old school makes my day.👊
You raised that kid well brother 💪
Thank you, Nas
Real hip hop, you know when they talk about the arts, word play, rhyming, flowing. Wu-tang clan, Nas, Big L. Real lyricist.
he ain't lying. Wu definitely made a mark, very educational and universal language. if u listened.
Rza actually tried to recruit Nas into wutang. That would've been a hell of an addition.
@Tony Teresi Actually It Is True Raekwon Can Validate That....
Tony Teresi right and cappa got locked up at the time
@Tony Teresi there were a ton of people who had a chance to a part of the group in that particular studio session, not just killah priest and masta killa. it was open to anyone and it wasn't really about deciding who was going to be a group member as much who was going to record a verse for myserty of chessboxin. nevertheless, that studio session has nothing to do with the fact that Rza was shopping for Nas to join. puff daddy was also trying to get Nas. obviously he went his own route. there's another guy who was not at that session named scotty wotty the jackpot, Rza wanted him too but he was caught up in drugs at the time.
and I know about cappa as well. he actually had a verse for protect ya neck but couldn't record because he hadn't come home yet.
Tony Teresi Redman is more part of wu then nas if you think about it.
My favorite Mc of all time. Nas.
dwan robinson my favorite is MC Ren. I have him right behind Nas in the list of goats
@@seekerundue his solo career is so so so damn underrated
Niggato facts. His solo and even his work with NWA: The entire Efil4Zaggin album.

Yes 🙌🏾 Nas “brilliant people “
Nas is such a fucking legend. He was never afraid or ashamed of giving props to other artists! One of the greatest!
Greatest hip hop group ever💯
From my favorite Individual Hip-Hop artist to my favorite Hip-Hop group. Pure greatness. Salute to the Kings!
Pioneer talking about Pioneers.💪🏾💪🏾
RZA started the sound that everyone has used for almost 3 decades now. Violins, piano, high pitched loops, its impossible to not hear it. Everywhere.
Nas for introducing the world to the Illmatic was mind blowing experience! It's because of that he's on my top 5 DOA! Because of the dark state of mind that illmatic brought made me want to 🌟 t writing rhymes. Wu Tang brought the art and lyricism to hip hop! The Rza's production brought the theatrical and darkness to music. All 9 members had different personalities to them which made them unique! They'll always be a part of hip hop history! They're the 🐐's!

His verse though on Verbal Intercourse 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is dope. Perfect words
I've always wanted to see these legendary rappers all together. Gonna get my chance this year.
I was a kid when i first seen protect ya neck on video music box in 93 been hooked ever since
I definitely look at RZA a little different now though.
What happened
He took project dudes and made them millionaires. It was his forsight, his company, his production that made him great.
🗣Boodldododoot!
RZA had a strong vision
Rza is the man with the plan. Egos got greedy but thats the game, rza most def could have been a dick about it and kept their rights to stay within the company, but within the context of the game hes a humble mfkr and doesnt want conflict, he also respects his brothers and let them go.
A true elevated soul and leader.
Awesome Documentary!
One of best ever speakin on one of the best crews ever...hiphops lengends!
