Pandit Nikhil Banerjee was the one of the key person in upliftment of Pandit Anindo Chatterjee One can find Pandit Anindo Chatterjee talking about having students and train them on the Guru Shishya parampara, this was the vision of Pandit Nikhil Banerjee too, but due to his unfortunately demise at an relatively early age, he could not do this. The idea Pandit Nikhil Banerjee had on the parampara, was the way he received his training from Baba Alauddin Khan

Enjoyed so much. Pt. Anindya Chatterjee is artless and so simple in his conversation. His skill on percussion is widely acclaimed and so also his behaviour. The latter was not in my experience earlier, heard today on my own as well as from couple of stalwart musicians. It certainly makes the 'bol's sweeter.
