Gặp những người như vậy mình rất buồn và đã cố gắng thuyết phục họ rằng người Việt có rất nhiều đức tính tốt và có một chiều sâu văn hóa không kém đất nước nào cả. Mong rằng video của bạn có thể tiếp cận được với nhiều bạn trẻ gốc Việt hơn để họ có cho mình một suy nghĩ và hành động đúng đắn đồng thời có thể tự hào nói mình là người Việt. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't feel completely accepted when you were in school, but I think that experience has made you a stronger person. Your English is very good; not only do you sound like a native speaker, but you sound like you grew up in the States.

I wish more people shared their experiences with navigating between cultures and dealing with identity crises, especially for those folks going through it now at a young age …. Whether as a first- or second-generation immigrant or in any other way, it’s something that needs more conversation. Glad to hear you’ve found a way to embrace it! Also when you mention that your “Vietnamese female friends would kinda ignore that and move on …” I doubt they truly “moved on”. Some people are less assertive (both genders, but females tend to be less assertive by nature) and are unable to defend themselves in such situations in the way you did, yet this leaves a footprint on their mentality and how they think about themselves in a long run … Again, great video and important message.
