I watched your build video, and I have to say as fabricator, I'm impressed, that you designed something that looks like someone with good amateur fab skills could build, that results in something resembling a pretty professional looking craft, that's testament to a well thought out design.

thomas hewitt I know you have probably mentioned it.. but how much would the total project cost for a consumer ever piece. Roughly?
Also assuming labor was done by consumer and had all necessary tools
I think you could get it done for 10 grand but that depends a lot on where and how you acquire the drive train.
Thats nutts. Literally stopped and sitting on rocks. Suprised it wasnt stuck. Gets on plane instantaniously without eating an impeller or wear ring. Super impressed.
I watch this vid & now I'm building a mini jet boat with my son, thanks for the inspiration it just looks like a lot of fun 😎

I saw one of these flying up the river near my house it looked awesome
Now that looks like fun ! But I would place a large foam pool noodle over the aluminum 'windshield', so that if your head ever hits it, the foam will absorb the impact and prevent you from getting some serious damage to your face.
noodle won't do much in a serious impact but foam of some sort is a good idea

Truly amazing! Many places here in Ontario Canada and in the US too where this type of boat can be used. This light weight compact design works very well in shallow water with minimal draft!

Having depression makes me lose interest in everything. I have an old jetski and 12' boat but can't finish it. Something like that would get me out of bed and enjoy the time I have left. If you know anybody with depression please take them for a ride. That is a badass jetboat.

Good job on the building project and awesome skills on the welding and construction (way past my skills anyway). Wonder if this could be made in a 14 foot length for my fat American backside and what the cost would be to get one to the USA. I think this would go over well here and have a great demand especially with a nice stainless roll bar behind the driver 's head. send mean email when you have time.

no really its just patch panels and a welder i have a aluminium skiff with a chevy 350 that was jet powered i used to punch holes in i would go home and patch it up and be back out that day
I am debating on building a plywood an glass , design , just wondering how it would compare . Won’t be bumping into any rocks in Florida

Mack ~ I'm with you on that one. BUT it would add a lot of weight. ALTHOUGH a larger engine could compensate for the weight, IMHO.
As to being a "dumbass", Peyton doesn't even know the difference between"your" and "you're", much less what UHMW or UHDPE is. lol

Todd Brackett they hold up super well. I am deciding on which kit set to buy and personally build like he did (he has a video) but the inside and outside of the hull have supportive "stringers" the run lengthwise on the boat and can be replaced on the outside if the marine grade aluminum ever does wear down from use!
And as for the impeller yes rocks and sand may mess it up, although there are sand trap systems designed for that and when you kill the throttle on shallow water you stop the intake and rely on momentum to get you through

Price range (completed) can run from $8k US to $15k US. Prices will all depend on your "vision" & if you will DIY or have someone do it for you. Awesome boat, and awesome job building it... I would weld a jet guard to the back of the boat. You are taking it through some pretty rocky rapids, and a guard plate might save your jet one day.
Very cool build! Only thing you may want to do is re-locate the pisser to the front. The reason it's normally above the water is so you can see if it's flowing or not. Don't want to burn your engine because you sucked up some weeds.
