Hey everyone! I hope you enjoy the video. I tried my best to put all links to the Graphics Pack in the description. If I missed something, please let me know. I worked hard on this video but I always manage to forget something. Hopefully, it shows why I maybe missed a week on videos, haha. Thanks for watching!
Used both and honestly it really depends on what lighting/weather mod you're using. If you like Mythical Ages or Vivid Weathers then Skyland is the way to go. If you prefer Obsidian, Cathedral or CoT then you're more likely appreciate the crisp and detailed nature of Graphics Pack. Presently I'm using Noble mods but with Vivid Landscapes, so far preferring this setup and I use Obsidian for weather/lighting.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger - I like that idea because it continues the theme of realism vs fantasy! Maybe you'll even change my opinion of Dark Ages? I look forward to it!
I say that Skyland AiO is definitely brighter and has more of a fantasy look, but I also say Graphics Pack has a sharper more realistic look. Skyland is definitely an easier mod to use being the AiO it is.
Skyland is definitely good for performance, I was looking for lighter graphics mods that still look good, 4K textures and enb looked nice but 45fps in Vr was making me sick😂
Honestly? I love them both. But I've never been able to fully use the "graphics pack" stuff, until I got my Series X. Skyland is great, no question. But the graphics pack is definitely my preferred look for the game. Performance isn't too bad either. The quality of the textures in the graphics pack are much more crisp, compared to Skyland AiO.
I personally prefer the more subdued realistic look. My dream is a true to life photorealistic reskin of skyrim with a decent lighting mod to make lighting as real as possible too. Just something about combining the realism in the graphics with the fantasy lore and gameplay makes it more immersive to me.
@@weeklyslav9331 I’ve got it pretty close with a couple of mods, but definitely PC edges it out, but I’ve definitely found the closest to lower end PC scale for Xbox
@@francescocapitani9858 Sure. Fair Warning I run this on my One X and this will eat up minimum 4gb or so out of your 5gb limit and is almost entirely spent on graphics. That being said, with a few tweaks on your display and using display enhancements to alter your contrast and brightness and whatnot you will have a gorgeous looking game. Also for reference I am loosely following Tarshana’s Logical Load Order template and I have little to no problems with frame rate or crashing after spending multiple hours playing and tweaking settings and such. Also also, when you do get all of this downloaded and ordered properly, close the Skyrim app as a hard reset. Then start new game. The game will ask you to restart to make Display Enhancements work properly(if you ignore it I’m pretty sure Skyrim will just crash at least in my experience). So I suggest making your character and before you leave the basement(assuming alternate start mod is enabled here btw) do a save or quick save and just exit the game then select continue on the main screen and it should work. @@Infinicat yo man I been sitting here all day looking for a good load order and you won lol..added a few more random mods and a couple expansions but thanks a million times..game looks amazing on series x rn
Both are great for me it’s skyland AIO just because something about the graphics pack doesn’t sit right it’s almost like it’s TOO gritty and realistic and like you said afterall Skyrim is a fantasy game so I prefer skyland cause it look incredible while still holding that level of fantasy style
I prefer Skyland over Graphics pack. In my opinion graphics pack and Skyland are very good. Graphics pack is very large, but it covers pretty much everything. I also like the Addons for Graphics pack, but I can never go wrong with Skyland. Skyland is just unique, and gives Skyrim a dark, but clean look. Skyland is very suitable for Skyrim, in my opinion. Thank you for the comparison!
I appreciate ya! I’m taking the Field of Dreams approach. “If you build it, they will come.” My main goal is to aim for quality and provide viewers like you with fun and informative videos. I’m amazed at the support so far. Excited for what comes next!
It looks like TGP has more contrast and is crisp I think I like it better but I have Skyland loaded already so I'll stick with it for the time...Thanks Great 👍video
So happy this is still helpful! Yea it’s a tough one to find since it was a combination pack of several texture mods. I need to go back and check this out again with my current list.
I’ve used them both in the past. I’m currently using the Clevercharff’s texture collections along with Friendly SMIM and Cathedral weathers on 1X...my game looks so beautiful. Keep up the good work.🙃👍
Cathedral weathers sounds interesting 🤔 I think I need to experiment with more weather mods with this new load order. Clevercharff is on the list for sure. Thanks, Dovah!
I think I’m with you there. I’m not sure if it’s my bias since I’ve used it for so long or that it does mesh (no pun intended) so well with something like Surreal Lighting. I think it’s also different enough from vanilla that it stands more apart from the Graphics Pack. Looking forward to working with the Graphics Pack more. The visual fidelity is very nice!
Really well done video and explanation of the differences. Both have qualities I really like. I do however think skyland gives off a much brighter look than graphics pack. Can see things alot better. I usually use skyland but I've tried them both and find both really good
Thank you for saying that! Had a good time putting this together and will model a future Fallout 4 comparison a similar way. Definitely a tough choice due to the space alone.
Great video, nice commentary, and great pace. Finally, someone who doesn't sound like they went for a sleigh ride before producing a video. Haha great work and very helpful.
Thank you for this. I had heard good things about both mods, but wasn't sure if it was worth the space. If I choose, I'd try Sky again, I love the fantasy aspect of it, although the castle v looks epic with the graphics pack mod. :D Great video friend! God bless and Jesus Christ loves you all! :D
Na I don’t think so. Some of my subscribers have also noticed that. Could be that the Graphics Pack Assets don’t really conflict. I haven’t tried it myself. Now if you tried Graphics Pack landscapes and Skyland then you’d most likely have a problem.
After having tried Skyland and Graphics pack i would say. Tamriel Reloaded AiO Just throw in some Frescoess and Cathedral water reupload and its done....And all that for roughly 800 MB. (doesnt even need trees cause already included)
I’m wondering if I need to make another video like this but have it be Skyland and Tamriel Reloaded. Since they both have AiO versions. I also imagine a lot of my subs are probably using it! I’m super excited to try it out.
Over all I think the graphics pack is much more realistic and probably better, however I have been trying to get my skyrim to have more Fable aesthetic(I miss Fable) and the with a few other mods mixed with skyland I have got pretty close to the look I was going for.
Im a bit late to this but id like to thank you for this video, theses graphic mods are exactly what ive been looking for. After 3000 hours of PC skyrim then my PC basically exploded i need something close to the PC experience on Xbox. Thank you man, hope life treats you well
Glad that this video is still helpful! Skyland recently got a 3.0 update so I’m eager to try to do another video like this. TGP is great since it does some extra leg work with High Poly Project and SMIM but the texture pack with it is an interesting contrast with Skyland. It’s awesome to see these mods on console.
Yea I would agree. There are definitely areas where you can match that type of detail with Skyland and something like Enhanced Texture Detail (which you cannot use with Graphics Pack) but for the most part, Graphics Pack does deliver.
When you add in all of the Graphics Pack add ons (which aren’t present in this comparison video) it is certainly more comprehensive than Skyland by quite some stretch. Ultimately each is to personal taste. I prefer Skyland for Landscapes. But the white stone recolouring of Markarth is not to my personal taste. Personally I’m not a huge fan of the Fort textures either use. I prefer to use the Imperial textures by T4GTR34UM3R. Fortunately we can pick and choose.
i still prefer just down loading the skyland mods separately cuase i dont like blended roads i like the slow green color and i havent got around to trying it in my game but tamriel retextured architecture 1k is good
I dig it. I’m glad that both versions of Skyland are available for that reason. AiO adds so much that having the ability to pick and choose is kind of nice. And if retexturing cities isn’t a necessity then that’s also space that could be used elsewhere, like on other mods.
I believe Skyland AIO takes this one. I just need to know how to combine it with flora overhaul + one forests + one grass mod. That, mixed, I believe creates the ultimate Skyrim graphics overhaul, at least for the landscapes and surroundings. Now, you could also add to character models etc(hair better hair, faces etc.), but that's about it. Mix it with some nice lightning + weather mods, and you got yourself a perfect looking Skyrim.
Unofficial Skyrim patch Divine SMIM Skyland Balanced Skyland towns and Villages Skyland Imperial forts and dungeons Skyland ships and shacks Skyrim Flora OH 2.7-something HD Caves & Mines (excellent mod) Tombs & Ruins (excellent mod) Enhanced lights & fx Enhanced lights & fx enhancer Obsidian Weathers True Storms Obsidian + True Storms Spectral patch Obsidian orange horizon fix Sky Mesh fix RW2 Tons of others ofc but I really like this setup for looks. Edit : Try Northern Grass. It blends Well with Flora Overhaul imo. But I found it a bit too much in some places and finding corpses and small creatures was a hazzle. Really Nice looking though.
The reason I watch this is because I've watched everyone else's videos on skyland, and it's all because when I go into fort dawnguard or any shop, the floor is just gone but the rugs are there lol
Well that’s odd. Something must have broke with your load order at some point if you’re seeing that. Might be time to clear that reserved space and start over.
I personally Love Skyland, and for the size, what it offers is amazing. it's important to note though, that Skyland doesn't cover everything. It does NOT cover Windhelm, a lot of the buildings in Solstheim ( unless it uses textures from the regular stuff from skyrim which skyland re-textures like the forts, some parts of the dwemer ruins, which have a different texture than the regular dwemer ruins in skyrim, etc...) but it does do the LANDSCAPE of Solstheim. It also doesn't cover Fort Dawnguard or Castle Volkihar ( it does do the landscapes though) or High Hrothgar. Graphics Pack covers all this but ONLY if you download the additional assets ( Of which there are a LOT). again for the size and what it offers Skyland is amazing. With Skyland I recommend using some other mods to cover what it doesn't. My personal set up ( at the moment! ) I have Skyland AIO, it's road patch, standalone Windhelm re-texture ( funny enough, ported over by the Author of Graphics Pack ), Skyrim Remastered - Castles 1k ( it covers Fort Dawnguard, Castle Volkihar and it's interior clutter, High Hrothgar, and even though it's redundant because Skyland already covers it, The College Of Winterhold ) Noble DLC - Dragonborn, and Noble - Clutter ( for the miscellaneous furniture, clutter,etc..) and pair it with a nice SMIM ( recommend Noble SMIM ) and you have everything graphically covered. and all at file size smaller than a full Noble or full Dark Ages or full Graphics pack LO ( and everyone knows on Xbox file size is at a premium! ). regardless, this was a great video and very informative.
Considering skyland is about half the size, only 1 mod to install not multiples extension, much easier for load order while also providing better performance, its a no brainer
If I may play Devil’s Advocate here... comparing Skyland AiO (which includes the majority of Skyland Add-ons in one package) to the Graphics Pack (Without any of its Add-ons) is a bit of a false comparison. For example, the Graphics Pack series includes Add-ons that cover Landscapes, Dungeons, Forts, Tombs, Ruins and Ruins Clutter, Farmhouse textures for Villages, Orc Strongholds, the College of Winterhold, Snow Elf architecture from Dawnguard, High Hrothgar, its own versions of SMIM, High Poly Project, it’s own lighting and bumpy roads mods. But you don’t include any of those in this comparison. The same uploader also has one of the few Xbox retextures for Windhelm, something which Skyland doesn’t cover and which at this point I think may even be the only other alternative to the retexture included in Noble Skyrim. Don’t get me wrong. Skyland does cover a lot. But things like Orc Strongholds, High Hrothgar, DLC locations, alchemy ingredients, tree bark, miscellaneous objects and clutter are all things which it doesn’t touch. It’s definitely more compact as one slot in your LO but don’t expect it to be a silver bullet. Trying to find standalone mods to cover what isn’t covered is not so easy on Xbox. If you were to run all the add-ons for the Graphics Pack series alongside all of those for Skyland you’d have quite a different picture.
This video was more about showing the two in action (with applicable add-in’s) since these two are at the top of the list for most players looking to mod their game. Before all of these other ports like JK Skyrim, at least. There’s a lot to choose from now!
TechRanger - There are. It just seems a bit counterproductive to show the AiO, all bells and whistles, version of one mod series in comparison next to another without its Landscape, Farmhouses, SMIM lighting and other things. You’re comparing one thing with all it can offer, next to another but deliberately without the majority of its constituent parts. I mean, it’s a bit redundant to show Skyland Winterhold next to what is effectively vanilla Winterhold without any of Graphics Pack’s Winterhold textures. Of course there’s a difference. One is modded. The other basically isn’t.
pretty sure it covers orc stuff or at least some of it. I believe if you look up the Skyland stand alones ( i think the Nordic Ruins one. ) it mentions Orc Longhouses.
Even on the xbox 5gb limit I'm able to run both of them and still have room for lighting, weather, water, and lush overhaul mods. As well as some dlc and semi-dlc sized quest mods. I think graphics pack has two other asset add-ons, but i haven't noticed any issues with using just the base graphics pack above skyland in my load order.
The graphics pack with assets should just be items and shouldn’t conflict with Skyland but you definitely have that the way I would just in case. I think the conflict would happen if you end up trying to use Graphics Pack landscapes as well as Skyland.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Ah I see. I didnt know about the landscapes mod for graphics pack. I was confused and thinking that I had my load order overfilled. Much appreciation for the clarification.
@@toytacambery9427 can you plz tell me where you have to have it in your load order I've tried putting it at the very top and I've tried the very bottom but it just won't work?
Overall. Definitely. If you just installed the assets and the main mods 🤷♂️ What I like about the full list of mods is that it covers all of the things. And it also has a Vanilla feel to it which I like.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger exactly and I'll give the modders props for what they do. My game came to life. Don't forget about the Breezehome remake as well it is perfect with the graphic pack
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Agreed. Been on hiatus from Skyrim for a couple years. Just started getting back into it and am trying to re-educate myself on the load order. A lot has been updated/added since i have been gone
So I try my best to check out mods for both games and I’ll tell you, it seems like every time I take extra time on one game, there are more mods to check out for the other 😜 It’s not a bad problem to have, though!
Also could you do a review over Tamriel Reloaded AiO? Cause I am thinking of trying Graphics Pack or Tamriel Reloaded. Great video btw, keep up the good work!
Thank you! I definitely plan on checking that out in the future. Loving the variety of graphics mods coming over to Xbox. Graphics and textures are one of my favorite things about mods on Xbox if you couldn’t tell 😜
I used Surreal Lighting and Mythical Ages respectively. Pixar preset for Mythical since The Graphics Pack seemed like it needed more pop. Surreal just looks great with Skyland.
@@_____Wolf_____ You can only use one or there will most likely be some crashes. Surreal just affects lighting BUT it does affect a lot of the same things that Mythic does since it includes lighting. If you try them both at once, experiment at your own discretion.
I quite like the Graphics Pack’s landscape textures but I know that the Graphics Pack with all of its mod is a big space commitment but I would definitely recommend checking it out on a new mod play through. I’ve heard a lot of good things about JK’s Skyrim so I think that’s the next one I’ll try.
I am looking for a mod that can take out the permanent fog and replace snow color that make everything look blue or gray, this game need more variety of colors also most of cities are so small that gave me motion sickness
Awesome, slick and informative as always! Do you have the spreadsheet with your current Graphics Pack load order? I much prefer the graphics pack but I’ve had lots of crashing issues in the past. Thanks again dude ✌🏻
I recommend adding northern shores with skyland, since the skyland shores aren’t too realistic, same with the graphics pack. I tried tamrielic textures in my recent load order and I just can’t stand the blended roads in it. They don’t look that good in my opinon, I enjoy skyland much more.
Skyland still looks way better than the graphics pack but thats just me.. though theres also Project Clarity but thats a whopping 10 gbs on half-res while a whopping 39gbs if you download the Full-res version
@@Matt_the_TechRanger hi sorry for all my questions on your other load order but I’m just checking lol, your load order is okay to use with all the creation club content?
@@joshkuempfel9826 Yea I haven't noticed anything too weird (outside of using mods) with CC stuff. The only thing I'm not ever really sure about is how much Old Kingdom can works over the CC armors. At this point, I forget what the vanilla armors look like, lol. I have an updated list in my "What modded Skyrim looks like in 2023" video but working on a load order update video.
I tried using GP with most of its add ons, like Smim and High Poly etc. It appears that Assets 1&2 are no longer on the Xbox mod list. Anyways, I love the way it looks over Skyland, but it crashes constantly.
I heard the graphics pack for the XBOX though causes way too many CTDs for a standard Xbox but runs much more smoother on a Xbox X. I don't know how much truth to this is, I prefer GPs over Skyland but I use the STD Xbox and not the X and with the new Xbox soon to be released its pointless for me to buy an X so I have to stay by Skyland unless someone can prove that GP works just as good as Skyland using a STD Xbox?
I wouldn’t be able to test it now but I’ve had similar issues when I had the OG Xbox One. I also made some pretty bad load orders back then so not sure what caused crashes. There also wasn’t all of the add-one available that there are now. I’ll be sure to refine my current Load Order with the Graphics Pack and share. Probably going to be awhile on that but if it’s set up right, every Xbox should be able to run it.
@@IIkIllswxtch it’s a tough choice. I did a load order video with Graphics Pack mods if that helps: ua-cam.com/video/FadSXjWObSk/v-deo.htmlsi=nGSIWi8wK-K3KIRE My most recent one, I went with Skyland Architecture and Fantasia Landscapes. You can mix and match with Skyland easier now cause there is an Architecture version and Landscape version if you don’t want AiO.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Thanks for the vid. I picked up a Series X and wanted to test mods on it, but wanted a full-blown fantasy feel (like the movie legend) and after 4 days of tinkering I found it. @@brianofjudea3433 not perfect, but generally really good. I'm using the mod that un-caps framerate too, so in most cities, dungeons and smaller areas it runs really smooth at or near 60fps even with a full 100/5gig intense mod load. Riften and the area around it runs closer to probably 30 or just under with some screen tearing. Heavily grassy/forest areas still drop to sub 30 with stutters, but overall 80% of the time its performing better than ever. It feels like an entirely new game on console compared to the One S or X
@@sethpeterson8261 ok thanks, I’m definitely downloading some of these myself. if you really want to improve performance, i would recommend removing jk’s Skyrim and tree related mods as I remember them being pretty taxing on the one x but I’m not sure how much the series x alleviates this
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Please! For the longest time I used noble entirely but rn I'm using your graphics pack load order and I just can't decide between the two myself.
Well Noble Skyrim is way too clean for my liking. I enjoy the static mesh, and the clutter, but it’s super clean. Way too clean, and young. It doesn’t really match the skyrim vibe. I want my skyrim to be dark, and cold. It wouldn’t make sense for Skyrim to look like cyrodil. Noble skyrim takes up a lot of space, and the dungeons are ugly in my opinion. It has a weird texture to it. I prefer graphics pack and Skyland. They both keep the skyrim vibe, and attempt to keep it as realistic as possible.
Graphics pack looks better, no skyland looks better, no graphics pack looks better...wait skyland looks better..or is it graphics pack? It just keeps changing. Depending on how many mods you have? Pick the one with the lowest mb if you have lots of mods. Why i went for skyland aio in the end. But they both look great. And if you just play the game ( instead of looking deeply at the details) you wont notice the dif. Cheers for the vid.
Thanks for watching! Definitely a tough choice but can be made easy when that reserved space is looking fool. I love that there are ways to use each to fit your preference. I'm only just starting to use the Graphics Pack.
I have a question I have installed skyland all in one on my xbox one at the bottom of the load order as recommended and its the only mod enabled but when I load up my save I get stuck in the loading menu and won't let me past that point is there a solution or do I just have to delete it since it won't work?
It does not. That is also a big difference since Skyland has an All-in-One version. You'll have to add the add-ons for the Graphics Pack like SMIM, Landscape Textures, etc..
anyone know why nothing is changing in game? all graphics look the same and i’m confused as to why it’s not changing anything. i’ve got all assets and the mod for Graphics Pack at the bottom of my load order
No worries at all! You can use the base Graphics Pack mods with Skyland, just not anything that overlaps with Skyland. For example, Skyland AiO now includes cities and landscapes so Graphics Pack landscapes, anything pertaining to an indoor space or city, and roads would conflict. I plan on taking another look at this in 2023 since Skyland was updated recently and there are some more GP add-ons 👍
The Graphics Pack doesn’t have many conflicting things in it unless you include some of the extra mods like Landscapes. I believe the Assets packs and the main mod modified cities but it should just be the textures (no changes to layout or anything like that). So at that point, whichever textures you want, you can place that under the other. I’m still sticking with one or the other just in case but I have seen quite of few people using both.
You can download and install it that way if you'd like. SkyKing has changed the mods a bit since I made this. If you want the most up-to-date versions, I would recommend using Skyland landscapes AIO and Skyland Architecture AIO. The Skyland AiO that I looked at in this video is a slightly older version. The new AiO mods will be the newest. There should also be some more updates to Skyland this year so I'm sure that might change.
In each of the Graphics Pack Mods, it'll also show you a list of how to order them. The main things you want to have first are The Graphics Pack, Assets 1, Assets 2. The rest of the Graphics Pack mods will follow depending on if you use something like their version of High Poly Project or SMIM.
Hello! I need help! I downloaded Skyland and everything looks perfect, except for the absurd amount of smoke in all the cities. Anyone have this issue? Any ideas of how to fix it???
I don’t know if the different versions of Skyland AIO may do this but it may just be a design choice on the part of the mod author. You can try just installing Skyland Landscapes AIO and see if the is the case. The Skyland AIO will be the version in this video but the mod author actually split Architecture and Landscapes so you can do one or both (those will also be the new 3.0 versions not featured in this video).
I'm playing on the Xbox x and there's an issues with the 4k graphics that xbox tries to use that causes frequent crashing. If I upgrade the graphics could that make the game crash more frequently?
If you have a solid load order then it shouldn’t be a big deal. I honestly didn’t have the issues that some did when I had my Xbox One X. All of our game saves are different so that can always add some variability to the way our games react with mods.
Can I ask how your game performs so well in riften? I have skyland all in one 1k, along with the riften cleanup mod and the frame drops i get when i’m in the rift/riften are atrocious. It makes me want to avoid the entire area, which is sad because i love riften. any advice? i don’t have any crazy mods either, no flora or city overhauls or anything like that.
Riften was always something that struggled in the original game if I remember correctly. I’d imagine that the few performance mods I have may help enough to keep it stable. Performance mods can always be tricky in that they can mess with other mods so it could be that that is what is happening. Just a thought as I haven’t tried that particular mod.
Yeah I would say sky RADS all-in-one is texture to look more realistically like buildings in real life and for me skyland looks really good but it's very more like a video game would look if that makes sense like sky land looks really good and I'm not saying it doesn't it's just too refined looking like a video game imo I prefer skyrads aio and I tend to stay away from grass mods on the Xbox they always have performance issues also obsidian weathers came out with a new package that is awesome only 10mb
@@Matt_the_TechRanger but yeah you really can't go wrong with either graphics pack mod that I mentioned it's just what you're going for, skyland looks like a fantasy game without being super ridiculous and has slightly better game performance IMO which is why I usually always go back to it.
I think I've yet to find a graphics mod that works for me. I want my game to look like mxr's game. Now Ik he has a ton of mods installed, but I just want my game to look as smooth as his does. Because vannila just looks like someone cut something out with photoshop, it's too jagged.
Well technically, the asset packs don’t hold anything that Skyland would conflict with. In theory, you could combine those... just not the Graphics Pack’s Landscape Textures or cities. Haven’t actually tried that for myself. Wouldn’t want to suggest it just in case 😜 but yea dude, let us know how it goes!
This is a really late reply but I've used True Storms for years. It is a fantastic, vanilla observant weather mod. I tried using the others but mods like Vivid Weathers and Mythical Ages deviate too much from the original look in my taste. Obsidian Weathers is fantastic though, and it truly enhances the game without sacrificing the vanilla look similarly to True Storms. However, it conflicts and breaks completely with water mods like Realistic Water 2. And I would rather suck it up with True Storms than remove RW2. In short, if you want to improve the game weather but still keep the vanilla style, you should go with True Storms. If you don't care and want to get maximum visual fidelity, use Vivid Weathers.
Hey bro, how do you make the graphics pack go without textural errors? I have a very big problem with several textures of the mod and I still haven't been able to solve it, could you help me? :'c
Biggest thing with these mods is placement. I believe it is one of the Asset Packs that have the proper order. I’d check the descriptions out on those first. Let me know if you’re still having issues. Seems to be running okay for me so far.
No worries! Basically, mods that alter the same things will create conflicts and mess with the performance of your game. Sometimes you're able to use multiple mods that alter some of the same things but bigger mods like these will only create an issue. The two, in particular, will conflict so you'll have to choose.
Got it 👍🏽. I chose the Skyland all in one. Just seemed easier. But I do like the idea of the Devine Cities mod... can I run that one and the Skyland all in one? I downloaded it, but the Devine cities doesn’t look to have an effect yet...
@@D_Castillo793 Skyland covers cities like Divine does so I'd suggest removing it. If there wasn't a conflict yet, it might be that Skyland is overwriting it if it is underneath.
The spreadsheet on the description of this video will show everything I have to add to it. Skyland AiO covers pretty much everything so I use a water mod and a lighting/weather mod and that is about it. Some other small things like Just Ice and Photorealistic Ivy. ua-cam.com/video/E4PUnf738cA/v-deo.html&lc=UgxHx9ArdwVc1DopOb94AaABAg
Can’t speak for search in-game on PC since I don’t own one but the in-game search does suck. Mod authors and exact names of mods are the best way to go. Or if you click the links in the description, you can find the PC versions by checking out the Mod Author’s page. Nexus is another alternative for PC but that can present challenges, too. Hopefully that helps a bit.
You will most likely crash immediately after trying to load a game. If you don't, then it might not last long before a crash. There are a lot of things in these mods that directly conflict. I haven't tried both together in a long time but it definitely isn't the best idea. I would not suggest it in order to air on the side of caution. That is also a lot to download, especially if it doesn't work.
Skyland AiO is Skyland 1K and all of the Skyland add ons. So if you use all of the extra stuff like Skyland cities, that will tie it all up for you in one mod.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Ah ok thank you so much! Just deleted Skyland 1k so now I have about 336 MB of space for other mods. I may look for some more lighting mods

Help a girl out?
I would try to keep your Graphics Pack mods together so Graphics Pack and then the add-ons after and then he Mini Pack. I would probably move Tamrielic landscapes above the Graphics Packs. Moving ELFX above would be what I would do. Xp32 should be towards the bottom. Are you having particular issues with the load order so far?
@@Matt_the_TechRanger thank you so much 🙏🏽 yes it would crash and I was following Bethesdas and then a UA-camrs and still crashed… I was so confused. I will do that then! I had to reach out otherwise it would take too long of a process!!
@@ccmclovin5483 That can be frustrating! It can be tricky following load orders on UA-cam. I will try my best to make it known on my LO videos that mileage may vary but there are always a lot of variables when it comes to mods. Save games with mods that have been installed and installed can add to that. Hopefully that helps! If you are still having issues then there might be a conflict somewhere.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger thank you, you’ve been wonderfully helpful I felt like my brain had been rearranged and I didn’t know exactly what I was doing anymore. I’m trying to make everything as compatible as possible. Someone said do big to small, but that wouldn’t make sense when it comes to what’s supposed to be at the top vs all the way to the bottom like magic, npc, Tamrielic textures, etc. I mean I was guided to put things like Tamrielic textures 1 - landscapes with general meshes & textures… same with the LOD that comes with it… it’s been somewhat confusing. 😅😅
Graphics pack Xbox upgrade dropped the noble chairs... Makes me sad, now I wish I hadn't updated. On the bright side snazzy clutter mod can add them back for a costly 65MB since the rest of the stuff In that mod is still in Graphics pack.
Ayo can you give me the rundown of what's happening with the Graphics pack mod? It says that it's been reduced from 3 modules to 1 and there's this new mod in my LO called "SMIM performance plus" Is that still apart of the og graphics mod, or is is apart of a different mod entirely now?
If you use Skyland AiO then most likely not since that modifies cities. If you end up download just the textures from Skyland then you can use other city mods most likely. You’d want to read the mod descriptions and look out for anything that might conflict. Graphics Pack won’t mess with cities unless you install that specific Graphics Pack mod for it.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger im downloading stuff now and the graphic pack mode is saying that it enhances a bunch of cities..so itnonly enhances cities and a few trees or overhaul the whole thing?? I wanna use graphic pack and cities of skyrims together but idk if it will conflict
I think it’s referring to the textures in the cities rather than changing the layout like something like Great Cities. I would tread carefully since a mod like Great Cities specifically mentions mods that modify certain sections on the map. I probably wouldn’t suggest trying it but if you so then you’d want to put it after. Kind of sketchy so up to you on that one.

@@MrNovember41 I think Noble is in my near future. I think a video between Noble and Dark Ages might be a good comparison.

Thank you! It's beautiful and it runs great on Xbox One X with these settings! 🙏😉
I say that Skyland AiO is definitely brighter and has more of a fantasy look, but I also say Graphics Pack has a sharper more realistic look. Skyland is definitely an easier mod to use being the AiO it is.
Do you know a graphics aio that makes the game more bleak (dark souls like)?
Skyland with a dimmer more foggy weather mod, and reduced Contrast?
Perhaps a separate banner mod as well.
If Xbox has more space for mods, I’d hands down choose the graphics pack but because we only get 5 gigs I’d choose skyland or Tamriel reloaded

I 've used both, and I can definitely say Skyland has better performance by far on XBOX, not sure about PC though.
Skyland is definitely good for performance, I was looking for lighter graphics mods that still look good, 4K textures and enb looked nice but 45fps in Vr was making me sick😂
Agreed, Skyland is also an AIO pack, so it takes up less storage, and looks even better
I definitely prefer the Skyland look, as it gives that fantasy feel I love but without going too overboard.
Thank you for this 🙂
I personally prefer the more subdued realistic look. My dream is a true to life photorealistic reskin of skyrim with a decent lighting mod to make lighting as real as possible too. Just something about combining the realism in the graphics with the fantasy lore and gameplay makes it more immersive to me.
Sorry to say but that's not happening on xbox

@@Infinicat can you put your load order below?
From here you can tweak display enhancements or start your game and change it outside either way is fine. Enjoy and if you try this LO let me know your thoughts or suggestions on how to improve it further if you have any!

I prefer Skyland over Graphics pack. In my opinion graphics pack and Skyland are very good. Graphics pack is very large, but it covers pretty much everything.
Graphics pack looks more detailed ( hence the massive size )
Hey, you find the perfect combination yet?

@@Matt_the_TechRanger thanks, this helped a lot!
Do any of the graphics pack tank the frame rate?
Thanks for this comment, I'm going to try out your set up.
Any opinion on clevercharff texture packs
do you use hpp?
Considering skyland is about half the size, only 1 mod to install not multiples extension, much easier for load order while also providing better performance, its a no brainer
I love AiO mods. When Skyland came out with an AiO version, I was pretty hyped. A Graphics Pack AiO would be excellent.
Cool video. Love the comparison.
John! Good to see you! I’m glad you enjoyed this.
I appreciate the feedback 👍
pretty sure it covers orc stuff or at least some of it. I believe if you look up the Skyland stand alones ( i think the Nordic Ruins one. ) it mentions Orc Longhouses.
Hey mate do I need to run the 900mb smim with the 300mb graphics pack smim or is the graphics pack one enough? Or are they conflicting of eachother?
Even on the xbox 5gb limit I'm able to run both of them and still have room for lighting, weather, water, and lush overhaul mods. As well as some dlc and semi-dlc sized quest mods. I think graphics pack has two other asset add-ons, but i haven't noticed any issues with using just the base graphics pack above skyland in my load order.
The graphics pack with assets should just be items and shouldn’t conflict with Skyland but you definitely have that the way I would just in case. I think the conflict would happen if you end up trying to use Graphics Pack landscapes as well as Skyland.

Not yet. When I iron a load order out with the Graphics Pack then I’ll be sure to share it.
The 3.0 updates to Skyland are really nice as well!
I prefer graphics pack just because I like the more realistic look 👌🏻
Clevercharff might be a good one to check out as well. It’s a lot of space like all the Graphics Pack mods but it doesn’t include as much.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger I’m doing a walkthrough with your load order at the moment I’ll maybe check it out after 😁
@@Matt_the_TechRanger hi sorry for all my questions on your other load order but I’m just checking lol, your load order is okay to use with all the creation club content?
@@joshkuempfel9826 Yea I haven't noticed anything too weird (outside of using mods) with CC stuff. The only thing I'm not ever really sure about is how much Old Kingdom can works over the CC armors. At this point, I forget what the vanilla armors look like, lol. I have an updated list in my "What modded Skyrim looks like in 2023" video but working on a load order update video.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger awesome 😁 I have to say your load order is brilliant, very smooth and simple
I tried using GP with most of its add ons, like Smim and High Poly etc. It appears that Assets 1&2 are no longer on the Xbox mod list. Anyways, I love the way it looks over Skyland, but it crashes constantly.
I’ll take a look at those links.
Can’t say I’ve had that experience with Skyland.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger hey thanks for the reply. The issue is with Graphics Pack, not Skyland. Graphics Pack apparently has a lot of issues now.
I can’t choose between skyland aio or graphics pack
@@IIkIllswxtch it’s a tough choice. I did a load order video with Graphics Pack mods if that helps: ua-cam.com/video/FadSXjWObSk/v-deo.htmlsi=nGSIWi8wK-K3KIRE
My most recent one, I went with Skyland Architecture and Fantasia Landscapes. You can mix and match with Skyland easier now cause there is an Architecture version and Landscape version if you don’t want AiO.
Awesome video
Thanks for the vid. I thought Skyland already looked overly muted, but the graphics pack is straight up bland and dull.
I’m always on the lookout for the more fantasy-inspired mods for Skyrim. Thank you for watching! Glad this video is helping out.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Thanks for the vid. I picked up a Series X and wanted to test mods on it, but wanted a full-blown fantasy feel (like the movie legend) and after 4 days of tinkering I found it. Mythical Ages + Mintys Lightning + Divine Interiors light/shadow + Clarralux + JK's all cities in 1 + Trees in Cities + Divine Architecture + Divine SIMM + Veydosbrom Dense + Flower Fields + Prismatic Instects + Divine Forests + Dark Ages Trees + Dark Ages Fantasy Dungeons/Landscapes + Smooth but Rugged Mountains + Nordic Snow + Unique Bridges Skyrim + The Ruins + Realistic Water Two + Divine People: Celestial + a bunch of Divine Dragon/Monster/Creature textures...
And I think I have my favorite full-blown fantasy looking Skyrim ever...
@@sethpeterson8261 how well does it run?
@@brianofjudea3433 not perfect, but generally really good. I'm using the mod that un-caps framerate too, so in most cities, dungeons and smaller areas it runs really smooth at or near 60fps even with a full 100/5gig intense mod load. Riften and the area around it runs closer to probably 30 or just under with some screen tearing. Heavily grassy/forest areas still drop to sub 30 with stutters, but overall 80% of the time its performing better than ever. It feels like an entirely new game on console compared to the One S or X
@@sethpeterson8261 ok thanks, I’m definitely downloading some of these myself. if you really want to improve performance, i would recommend removing jk’s Skyrim and tree related mods as I remember them being pretty taxing on the one x but I’m not sure how much the series x alleviates this
Personally I find noble skyrim to be the best.
I think this would be a great comparison to the Graphics Pack. May be a future video!
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Please! For the longest time I used noble entirely but rn I'm using your graphics pack load order and I just can't decide between the two myself.
Noble Skyrim?
TechRanger pls I need a new texture pack lol
Well Noble Skyrim is way too clean for my liking. I enjoy the static mesh, and the clutter, but it’s super clean. Way too clean, and young. It doesn’t really match the skyrim vibe. I want my skyrim to be dark, and cold. It wouldn’t make sense for Skyrim to look like cyrodil. Noble skyrim takes up a lot of space, and the dungeons are ugly in my opinion. It has a weird texture to it. I prefer graphics pack and Skyland. They both keep the skyrim vibe, and attempt to keep it as realistic as possible.
Which weather and lightining mods did you used with skyland?
For Skyland, I had Surreal Lighting on. Mythical Ages for The Graphics Pack.
Have you tried doing a hard reset on your console? Hold the Xbox button until the console shuts off, wait 30 secs, and then turn it back on.
When comparing, are you using GP with the 2 assets? Or only GP without the assets?
All of the assets 👍
the answer is noble skyrim pack
I’ll be diving into that one next. I’m always intrigued by that one
Does the graphic pack assets come with the optional add ons
It does not. That is also a big difference since Skyland has an All-in-One version. You'll have to add the add-ons for the Graphics Pack like SMIM, Landscape Textures, etc..
anyone know why nothing is changing in game? all graphics look the same and i’m confused as to why it’s not changing anything. i’ve got all assets and the mod for Graphics Pack at the bottom of my load order
Have you done a hard reset yet?
Hello, sorry for the question... but what would happen if I have both mods installed at the same time, the SKYLAND and the GRAPHICS MOD.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Thank you very much for answering my friend and clarifying my doubt.
Love ur mod vids ty
Thank you!
Idk if your supposed to but I use both of them at the same time and it doesn’t seem to affect the game at all
The Graphics Pack doesn’t have many conflicting things in it unless you include some of the extra mods like Landscapes. I believe the Assets packs and the main mod modified cities but it should just be the textures (no changes to layout or anything like that). So at that point, whichever textures you want, you can place that under the other. I’m still sticking with one or the other just in case but I have seen quite of few people using both.
I have also that bug with guard that attaque people randomly
Thats nuts. Do you have the Civil War mod installed? I know that one needs to be installed after picking a side or guards can act weird.
Will the achievements on xbox still unlocking after using graphics mods?
Unfortunately not.
So. What happeneds if you download all skyland Packs into one load order?
You can download and install it that way if you'd like. SkyKing has changed the mods a bit since I made this. If you want the most up-to-date versions, I would recommend using Skyland landscapes AIO and Skyland Architecture AIO. The Skyland AiO that I looked at in this video is a slightly older version. The new AiO mods will be the newest.
There should also be some more updates to Skyland this year so I'm sure that might change.
Hey maybe I missed it in the video but what is the load order when downloading the graphics pack mods
@@Matt_the_TechRanger I see. If you don’t mind my asking, which performance mods do you use?
They’ll be in my latest load order video. The description has a spreadsheet with all of the links.
Obsidian definitely needs another look from me. I remember trying it once and then Mythical caught my eye 😜
It's called supreme obsidian weathers but for only 10mb saves you at least 80-100mb compared to others
How do I find “the graphics pack” on Xbox one. What do I search?
Links are in the description but you can search for it on the mod page on Xbox and everything should be there.
What if you were to combine them. Ive tried a little bit with the basic assets and its alright. Depending on the load order.
Then again I'm just recently trying to mod so.... I dont really know what im doing very well.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger whiterun certainly looks good with the basic pack and assets with lush trees combined with skyland aoi and surreal lighting.
Which weather mod would you recommend with graphics pack?
I think Mythical Ages since you can actually pick a few different looks. Haven’t tried Dolomite yet but I know that is a subscriber favorite.
Me watching this with my 160+ essential mods to make it look next gen🤨🤨🤨
That’s… a lot of mods 😜
Hey bro, how do you make the graphics pack go without textural errors? I have a very big problem with several textures of the mod and I still haven't been able to solve it, could you help me? :'c
Biggest thing with these mods is placement. I believe it is one of the Asset Packs that have the proper order. I’d check the descriptions out on those first. Let me know if you’re still having issues. Seems to be running okay for me so far.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger I could already solve it bro, apparently it is incompatible with NAT, but thanks for the advice
@@culichiman9876 Oh well I'm glad you found out the issue. Sucks that that isn't compatible though. I know the Graphics Pack can be tricky.
Forgive my ignorance, I just started modding on xbox one last night. I cant run the graphics packs and the Skyland all-in-one at the same time?
I'm currently running GP + addons + skyland without problem on a one X. Let Skyland overwrite GP and prepare for 15 fps lol.
Bruh....
I have both at the same time
How is this compared to the Tamera city mods?
Haven't tried that yet so not sure.
What mods do you have added to your sky land one
The spreadsheet on the description of this video will show everything I have to add to it. Skyland AiO covers pretty much everything so I use a water mod and a lighting/weather mod and that is about it. Some other small things like Just Ice and Photorealistic Ivy. ua-cam.com/video/E4PUnf738cA/v-deo.html&lc=UgxHx9ArdwVc1DopOb94AaABAg
how come when i search any of these mods up on the ingame bethesda mods section nothing shows up? im on pc btw.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger ok thx
what weather mod you’re using?
My apologies! I missed this comment. I was using Surreal lighting with Skyland and Mythical Ages for The Graphics Pack footage.
Cant you use both at the same time without any problems?
You will most likely crash immediately after trying to load a game. If you don't, then it might not last long before a crash. There are a lot of things in these mods that directly conflict. I haven't tried both together in a long time but it definitely isn't the best idea. I would not suggest it in order to air on the side of caution. That is also a lot to download, especially if it doesn't work.
If I have Skyland 1k do I need the Skyland AiO and vice versa? Cause if I don't then that's great.

So switch one do you prefer
Skyland. Every time I try to use another… it pulls me back.

Tanks , Ok Im like Grafic Pack 👍
Are these mods compatible with cities enhancement mods?
