  • Hey guys,
We managed to get our hands on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze 1.4L 2LT with the RS Appearance Package. It's extremely hard to find a Cruze diesel at this moment of time. Once they are readily available in the GTA, will see if we can get you guys a test drive of the 2.0 turbo diesel. For more information on the vehicle, please visit our website at:

    Thanks for watching!

I am in need of a new car. I drove a Cruze last week and every car I look at I compare to this one. I just loved driving it. It was so comfy and roomy as a driver. The only consideration I have is the fact that, as you know Canada gets snow and I am worried about how this baby handles a Canadian winter.

+Scorehound it handles excellent.just make sure you buy some good snow tires. It makes all off the difference. Michelin and blizzak would be my choices in that order. It's a little overkill for a cruze but you get what you pay for. If your looking for something decent, nexen winter tires are also a good brand. You can buy those at Walmart.

+Scorehound another car you should consider is a Hyundai elantra. They aren't as good as the cruze for fuel efficiency but they are another great car.

I am having troubles deciding between the Cruze, the Elantra, the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla or the Nissan Sentra. I'm buying a car on Thursday, and those models have me stumped. I don't have a ton of money to spend so budget is an issue.

+Scorehound you'll need to test drive them all and try to work out the best deal that you can. also get a quote on insurance. see if they will throw in some free oil changes. the cars you just mentioned are all reputable. it's going to come down to the price, test drive, and extra offers they are willing to give you. I think the civic will be the highest in price. iam not sure what kind of transmission the sentra cones with... if it's a cvt transmission, turn around and leave right away. if it ever breaks down, you'll need to buy a whole new transmission. they are not repairable and they break all the time.

Thank you very much for that. I had no idea that CVT engines were so fragile. I just thought people didn't like them because of the lack of gear shifting or the sound.

it's a good little car. my friend still has his 2011 cruze after driving 176,000km. his throttle body was replaced at 140,000km. other than that, this car has been super reliable. we just changed his brakes last month for the first time!

QUESTION FOR ANYBODY! Between the 2lt and the lt, which would you recommend? I understand there are some differences, but are they significant or does it all come down to preference? Thanks!

+HeySarah it all comes down to preference. If I can remember the 2lt comes with larger wheels and a few more electronics. Someone can correct me if iam wrong but the 1lt only came with the 1.8L. I think the 2lt gives you the option of having the 1.4l turbo. I think leather might also be an option. For 2016 they removed the 2lt package and now call it the premium option... The RS package is the option where you get better brakes and suspension and an appearance upgrade. Hope this helps. BTW I prefer the 1.4L turbo motor. It's got tons of pep.

The Canadian Car Review Show actually I have a 2016 old body style with the 2lt heated leather seats, bigger wheels and etc.
