Def Leppard are icons and legends in the music industry! With decades of hits to choose from!
To my knowledge, they're the only band in history to have a 1 armed drummer too!!
🙂💪🥁
Actually The Barbarians in the 60's drummer only had one arm but he had a claw attached to it. But he was nowhere near as talented as Rick Allen!
Def Leppard "Animal", "Rocket" and "Photograph" are sooo good. They are one of my top 3 favorite bands of all time. My other 2 favorite bands are: The Police (anything with their lead singer, Sting, in his solo career) and Duran Duran (start with their original video for the song "Rio"). 🔥🔥🔥
Yessss Those were my Jams!!! 😊
Can't forget Rock of Ages and Bringin on the Heartbreak
This is from the 4th album which has a lot of great tracks. Check out 'Armageddon It' for rock and 'Love Bites' for something slower. Both are of course, fire! Cheers.
This is one of my top favourite DL songs. They have AMAZING ballads and equally AMAZING rock out songs. Check out Rock of Ages, Love Bites, Armageddon It, When Love and Hate Collide, Tonight, and Bringing on the Heartache
Also “Foolin” and “Photograph”
Def Leppard - Photograph - Rock of Ages - Foolln - Women - Rocket - Armageddon it - Animal - Bringing on the Heartache - Love Bites - Too Late
Good
IMO, Photograph is their best song. They have great harmonies on guitar and vocals both
What I always loved about Def Leppard is watching the drummer, having only one arm he's the best in the world ❤
One of the great bands of the era. I would strongly recommend Rocket, Women, and Love Bites, as well as Animal, all from this album and all bangers. It is one of the great albums of the 80s as well. Love them so much.
1980's Rock, Women, Beer and parties out the kazoo.
I’m so glad that you seem to like this as much as I did when I heard it for the first time…😊
So many more good songs to explore from Def Leppard… “Photograph” is a must also “Bringing on the Heartbreak”, “Gods of War”, “ Women”, “Rock of Ages”, Animal””Foolin”, Run Riot” and many more… thank you for your top notch reactions!!!!
This entire album is worth a listen
This is easily one of the top 10 album of the 80s. And it nearly didn’t get made because they broke the bank making it
A good bit of the guitar melody in this song was lifted from a David Bowie song called "Heroes", which the band somewhat acknowledged during a performance of Hysteria on VH1's Storytellers show.
Love your excitement while reacting to this. They have soon many great songs! They are my favorite band since 1982. They have been around since the late 70s, and just finished a world tour.the lead singer is 64 and rick allen, the drummer who lost his arm was 15 when he joined the band . They have many tragedies over the years starting from Rick's accident, Steve Clark's death from alcohol and prescription drugs, and finally Vivian Campbell has battled Hodgkins lymphoma since 2013.they stay together, and are truly a family. I think joe elliott, the singer, said in the bands rock and roll induction speech. " we may not be blood, but we are as close to brothers that this only child has ever had".very well said, and this why they have legions of faithful fans around the world. I saw them in Seattle last year, and there was a insanely huge crowd of fans, including teenagers without mommy or daddy, all rocking def leppard tshirts, it was really great to see!
Great band! I was devastated at the loss of Steve Clark. His lead/rhythm guitar and partnership with Phil Collen was dynamic. Bass by Rick Savage is an exquisite refinement to their sound. I’ve said it before…. The most successful darn good bands have three guitars. Vivian Campbell took Steve’s place but it’s not the same and Phil did struggle to move from Steve to Vivian. Steve Clark was a classically trained guitarist who was an essential part of the song writing. His addiction to alcohol just decimated his life. At 31 with that much talent, to lose your life to alcohol poisoning is tragic.
I hope you are peaceful Steve! ❤️💔❤️
You now realize that this was their #1. It's so dang good. Love it. Would highly recommend Photograph as well, it's 🔥. Got that higher energy to it.
the hysteria album i am emotionally attached to cause i bought it when i was a teen when it came out.
no bad tracks.fab art work that i'd never seen the likes of before.please do animal and love bites next.
This is by far my favorite Def Leppard song. Takes me to another place. For similar vibing check out Duran Duran's Come Undone and Ordinary World.
1987, i was 10. I wrote these guys a fan letter, cuz that's all we could do back then. Told them how awesome they were, and how i always listened to their music, they were my favorite. They are still on my playlist to this day. Check out The Def Leppard Story movie that was made. I never did hear from them or get a reply. Imagine having to open millions of envelopes. Oh well, still love em
❤ "Hopeful Despair" Love it!!!! This is one of my favorite bands. Great smile by the way!
Do Photograph next. It’s easily one of the best written pop songs of the 80s.
My brotha man, you getting the feels at your age....imagine how many loves and losses us old heads have had and this song was always there...on the radio...on our ipods...our cd collection...our vinyl...🤘...it nice to see it come back 'round..❤
Def Leppard I saw you in Chicago in 1981!!!!!❤
Classic...when I hear this and pour some sugar on me it reminds me of the roller skating rink I used to hang out in as young teen ... Always played them
All their songs are great but this is my favorite. Got to see Motley Crue, Poison, Joan Jett and Def Leppard last summer and Def Leppard absolutely killed it, sound exactly like they did when this song came out 40 years ago! And sooo good live!❤
One of the best songs from one of the best bands of all time!!
He says get closer baby .... closer to me.... Saw them live twice, awesome performance!!
I’ve seen them 6 times, the last time being this past summer… they never disappoint!
They just announced a Stadium tour with Def Leppard, Journey, Steve Miller Band, Heart, and Cheap Trick
Billboard named it as THE top rock album of the 80s decade.
All time fav of Def Leppard. Thank you for reviewing.
68 years old and this is my favourite band
This album was worth the wait!!! Not too sure if you know the story about DL.
Back in the mid 80's the drummer Rick Allen was in a horrific car crash, which he lost his arm in. After years of waiting for him. They weren't sure about how to go on without him. Later Rick came up with a unique way of playing the drums with one arm. With that, the group was able to get in the studio to record the Hysteria album. And take it on tour.
Which I was able to see them for that tour. Which was one the most AMAZING concerts EVER!!!
Every song on the Hysteria is definitely worth reacting to!!
Just some of my favorites ...... ' Stage Fright, Die Heart The Hunter, Photograph, Foolin', Too Late For Love, Bringing On The Heartbreak, Rock Of Ages' Have fun!!
If you dig guitars and vocals, they'll blow your mind.
Eeeeeeeee! I love how much you love Def Leppard!!! I've always been a huge fan, but most of my friends were into the harder grunge/metal/rap stuff (which I also love), but I got teased a bit about it, so I so enjoy seeing other people fall in love with this music! 🥰
YYYYYEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! I went through 3 cassette tapes of Hysteria (the album) because I wore out the first two. I was about 14 at the time. Such good memories.
Hysteria was such a huge selling record and played everywhere that people were accusing Def Leppard of selling their souls to the Devil 😆
I've seen them live twice....they are fantastic!!
You rock it Shon....................................
Also, I spent countless hours playing this song on the guitar. Its engrained in my muscle memory, lol
Love your enthusiasm man, just subscribed, Leppard are my favourite band of all time
I love their song, “ photograph” ❤
For me I bought this album when it came out back in high school and even back then, I thought this was the most beautiful song I ever heard, still do...
The entire "Hysteria" album is pretty amazing. They have alot of great songs before and after the release of this one. Stay on your Def Leppard journey. You wont regret it. I promise.
Hopeful despair is the romantic's base level. 😊 Thank you for reaction! Poetic insight sir.
Love this reaction! They are such a good band. Go ahead, go down that rabbit hole🙂

I know everyone lives “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” but this is my favorite Def Leppard song. I don’t know, something about the guitar riff-it seems so simple but the tone and the chord progression conveys such longing to me. It’s a terrible song when you have a crush on someone who doesn’t like you back, that’s all I know 😂
This song has such a nice grove to it.
Feel this in my heart
You have to react to Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing (Alchemy Live). I'm certain you will say it's the BEST live performance you have ever seen! The performance is GENIUS, BRILLIANT, PURE PERFECTION. Get your fan ready for this one.
NEW SONG ALERT... shon check out foreigner "juke box hero". You'll love that energy..... also This was a great reaction to a great song😊🎉❤
I can't think of one Def Lepard song that won't end up on rotation
I recommend Animal next. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs.
When they were recording this album the producer told them that every part of the song had to be melodic, even the solos. Which is why this record doesn't really have too many of those wild shred solos on it.
The focus was always on melody and being memorable, rather than just playing really fast for no reason.
I've always loved how relatively low-key this song is in comparison to the bombast of most of their other ballads.
This song is soul food
Love Bites is another good one
Evertime evertime and I'll ever died everyday every time I'm a boy that song I'll get it. I get a stampy stafford every time
Sounds of my youth lol!! Great song
Excellent choice Shon 👏👏👏☮️
What I loved and hated about the 80’s was that almost all music was on cassette which sort of forced you to listen to the whole cassette…I had this cassette, I am so glad I listened to this whole album…every song was killer…. Love, love , love this whole album… I would suggest “God’s of War” it didn’t get a lot of radio play but is an AWESOME track.
this whole album was awsome
Also try “Photograph” or “Rock of Ages”, both by Def Leppard
Same album brother "Love Bites" is killer.
Shinedown -"Cut The Cord"
Ahh man, check out "Love bites", you will love it!!😍Thanks for a great reaction!
Love Bites! Omg 💜💜💜
Check out Duran Duran - Hungry like the Wolf!
My favourite song of theirs is When Love and Hate Collide but this song is a monster too.
Finally! Someone else that lives that song as much as I do!
I really think Shon would love that song, too… he loves breaking down the lyrics & loves the ones that resonate deeply!
Shon, you have to give When Love and Hate Collide by them a listen… I KNOW you will love that one🙂
You should check out Damn yankees - come again. Great vocals and guitar riff you won't be disappointed 🎸🤟
And then you got to check out kind of a sad love song it's called by Def Leppard it's called Love Bites watch the official video it's some good s***
Lovin your vibe bro. You gotta listen to 'Excitable' by them. It's so underated from the album by a wicked rift!
Me & My Wine !! Or check out HIGH-N-DRY
Also listen to rock of ages!!!
Another song to check out from them is Slang.
Shon, you have to listen to When Live and Hate Collide a listen… I promise you will not be disappointed!
Make “ Love Bites “ your 3rd reaction. Soooooo Good
Have u heard their 1st album? So awesome.
Check out "In the still of the night" by White Snake
Did you get back into some more Def Leppard try some of their older stuff and also some of that stuff that was during the hysteria Time the video called Animal
You should definitely do their song Animal next.
I love this song. One of my favorites.❤
As far as British rock bands go, they are one of the few who can step to the plate and get on base with every hit. I'm not going to give any recommendations because you ain't going to be lead astray in the comments ❤
You should really check out Wasted from their 1st album it smokes
Yo... whats up man? I'd like to see you react to some Boston album 3rd Stage
🔥🔥🔥🌲🌲🌲
May I suggest Edgar Winter Group, "Frankenstein" (live)....or Grand Funk Railroad "Inside looking out" (also live)
🤟
Do an album reaction shon!
❤😊
You should also check out Gods of War.
Please react to 'Armageddon it' & 'Pour some sugar on me' by them!😊
hi
Love bites is good
I'm sorry I don't have any $ to donate at the time but we need someone to react to the Last opening act of Kiss in Madison Square Garden. This is the end of a band that has been around for 50 plus tears. If you could do this you would be a first. Thanks!
