Definitely majority of the sound and gases come out of the tip with least resistance. So yes more from the valved side. I still see gas and hear sound from the muffler side even with the valve open though.
A shop put together a build for me and recommended this brand. I am liking the fabspeed brand though but I hear it has terrible drone with the exhaust and midpipe. What, if any drone do you experience with your setup?
Honestly the moment you make an exhaust change you will hear more noise in the cabin. The more aggressive your setup is the louder your cabin gets. If your worried about drone just leave the stock exhaust system in and start with either a high flow or a cat less down pipe. Then, you can go forward if you want more exhaust sound etc.
I have the AFE catback, which sounds amazing. I am thinking of getting the VRSF highflow cat. Couple questions: 1) How much louder is the cold start 2) Does it sound more raspy with the cat Appreciate you!
Hey man, I don’t have the same exhaust as you but I did get a catless dp installed so I can give you some answers. The cold start will be significantly louder, like way louder. And as to the raspy noise, I honestly don’t think it is that raspy catless, so it should not be raspy at all with a high flow dp. Hope this helped!
SamiSeries that’s a nice suggestion and really appreciated, looking for super refined crackles and burbling but far away from a gunshot machine tackiest thing ever. So MPerformance axle back, what about mid pipe? I have now Dinan and looking to install a high flow catted downpipe, any suggestions? Thanks again and awesome info!!!
Ya there is drone compared to stock. Even with the valve closed. But I have a full turbo back exhaust setup. My setup is really aggressive. It might be more tame with the stock down pipe and resonator. If you want to change your exhaust with minimal drone go with the M Performance axle back. Then, you can move forward from there whether you want it louder or not.
Sounds great! I love the pops.
correct me if i'm wrong but when the valve is open, the exhaust gas/ sounds only seem to come out of the left exhaust tip correct?

nice! i like it

Are you running the stock midpipe or is it after market? Because I’m thinking of getting the same axle back and getting the AWE midpipe
Yes I have the AWE mid pipe.
does this car have any mods to it other than the exhaust
Yes it does. Pretty much everything to get it to the Stage 2 Tune.
do you have resonator on your car?
catless downpipe?
No Resonator with High Flow Cat.
This axle back exhaust gonna fit w dinan mid pipe?
I had AWE Cat Back/Mid pipe. I had to modify it a little. You may have to make a custom pipe between the two to make it work.
is it only the axle back?? or do you have any other mods to this exhaust? mid pipe downpipes etc??
Nope, High Flow Cat, Mid Pipe and Axle back. So a full turbo back exhaust system.
Do you have videos of any drone while driving?
Do you still have the old exhaust I’d buy it off ya
I just changed the oem exhaust for a AFE cat back how much will you pay for my car is only 30000.
Unfortunately no.
is yours n20 or n55 engine?
N55
Is your car n20 or n55?
Based on the sound, its an N55. The N20 does not sound like an I6
How do you open/close the valve?
Through the Bootmod3 app. I installed the wifi agent in my car. I ended up just leaving it open always.
SamiSeries without bootMod3 can you open it by switching from eco/sport mode? Or do you need bootmod3?
@@samiseries6295 can you answer his question
Any experience with AWE one, I’m in between Afe and AWE can’t decide it for my 16’ 340i help please
No sorry no experience with the AWE one. Go with the M Performance axle back. I think thats a better option than AWE and AFE.

@@simonromero4294 you have Dinan midpipe or Dinan axle back?
Specter1031 used to have Dinan mid pipes, now I am a happy owner of the MPPSK. Best money ever spent on my car!!!
@@simonromero4294 nice. I'm thinking of doing an Akrapovic midpipe and Dinan, MPE, or Remus axle back. MPPSK is nice but expensive lol.
