I notice Tom Kenny's take on Spyro here is somewhat different than in the PS1 trilogy, and I dont completely chalk that up to his age or voicing SpongeBob for years on end as much as it was him being directed differently. Spyro in the first game (who was not voiced by Tom Kenny) was like a really whiny kid who thinks he's all that. Reignited Spyro 1 uses the exact same lines, but completely changes the context of them to make Spyro seem less like a tough kid and more like a really eager do gooder, basically Spongebob if his balls dropped a bit (or a less excited Heffer from Rocko's Modern Life). Even in Spyro 2 and 3, Spyro sounds much less curt, aggressive and confrontational sounding despite his dialogue being 1:1 with the originals. A good example is his "Pussycat" exchange with Hunter in Spyro 2. In the original, Spyro really made it sound like a tough guy insult. In the remake, the intent is still there, but he's more mellow and nasally sounding. Same with his exchange with Elora in the "Im a faun, you dork!" scene. In the original, Spyro acted kindof rude towards Elora and Elora sounded genuinely insulted, whereas in the remake he sounds genuinely curious about what she is and Elora is more playful in calling him a dork. I imagine it was done to make him more friendly sounding and less of the 90's mascot with attitude that he original was.
@@MajinMuu Yeah, Spyro is still a kid, but Ripto is still taller than him so it's still ironic. Spyro will be a "shorty" too until he grows up. XD Spyro has the advantage of being able to grow up though. Ripto has already "grown up" but hasn't really "grown up". LMAO. XD
@@MajinMuu Indeed, because Gnasty Gnorc was huge! On the plus side for Ripto, he's much more durable (and braver) than Gnasty Gnorc during his boss battle. Gnasty Gnorc runs, takes two hits, and dies. Poor guy. XD

I doubt that personally. Hunter may not just give you the orbs when he arguably should, especially since he knows they would be useful to you, but he still seems to be rather against Ripto, he's even the one that's tossing you the orbs to give Spyro the power to defeat Ripto in the boss fight. Moneybags, on the other hand, has no good excuse to block off access to parts of certain levels or even portals to worlds like Aquaria Towers or Zephyr, and forces you to pay him a sum of gems for these tasks, and he's arguably even worse in Spyro 3
Anyone wonder if Ripto could have been banished from the Dragon world's like Gnasty Gnorc and that's why he hates dragon's? Maybe they banished him to the forgotten world's?
@@bdpickettHe is not at Full Power in that Game though. In Attack of the Rhynocs After Season of Flame which was After ETD Ripto Comments in his Chateau he is at Full Power.
I have to admit, the voice acting in the originals, particularly Ripto's Rage and YotD, is superior. The new actors rely to much on the animations to convey simple emotions.
I agree, it's a big part of why I have such a fondness and nostalgia for the original on the PS1. The voices and sound effects were also sillier and funnier, too, and still hold a certain amount of charm despite the game's age
@@e-122psi3 Yeah but until they make Spyro 4 to follow the reignited trilogy (which did not include the epilogues) for all we know he's actually dead this time. I want the developers to get their shit in gear.

So you're telling me that people who play Spyro, the games from their childhood, are babies? Especially when they play the remake of the first three games? You must be fun at parties.
Fun fact: if you notice carefully, Spyro 1, 2 and 2 all initially take place in Stone Hill. Supposedly because Spyro is an Artisan dragon

Logic:
Spyro calls Ripto Shorty, when Ripto is actually larger than Spyro. Maybe that's one reason Ripto gets so pissed.
