- 'Clean' recording of Cathay A350 the undercarriage fails to retract, dumps fuel and returns safely to Manchester on runway 23L.

The pilot did a beautiful job landing that plane! Everybody was safe with no harm to passengers, crew or plane!🙂✈👍

I remember this incident. The A350 had to maintain a holding pattern over the Irish Sea while trying to raise the landing gear and dump fuel. I think I got a screen grab of the FR28.
I would be interested to find out what went wrong.
So brilliant that pilot is a hero as he was calm and didn’t panic to land safely

Our Qatar airways flight Milan Doha on 03rd December morning flight had landing gear issue. After take off At 6000 feet or so, it suddenly lowered. Initially pilot proceeded for return back. Later gear went up and proceeded to Doha safely

They must have had to dump a lot of fuel if Asia was its destination, but one of those scenarios where the cost is secondary to safety.
