The minecraft world is a square with a diameter of 180 million blocks. the speed of light is 300 million meters per second (approx) a minecraft block is 1 meter by 1 meter. Traveling at the speed of light, you could travel from one world border, to its opposite, in 0.6 seconds
Erm actually the minecraft world is a square and the average world is 60 million meters per side so the area is 60,000,000² so it would take roughly 0.2 seconds to go across the minecraft world, also diameter applies to circles not squares which js the general shape the minecraft world is.
