As an American I don’t know if I have even seen anybody wearing a Man City jersey walking around. I’ve seen Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea. So the fan base and commercial deal is very interesting.

I think what’s huge is the fact the verdict cannot be appealed at a court of arbitration. If they hand out serious punishment and even relegation or expulsion they have to sit there and take it
I'm gonna take a punt and say you haven't read the rules, especially the part which has a section dedicated to arbitration.
There are many reasons a sponser would give Man City more than United. For example if Abu Dhabi were insuring their oil rigs etc and asked them to sponser city, the insurer might be willing to do so to land the contract. Considering they have an entire county they easily use that leverage to land multiple sponsors if they chose too
The worst part is that all the charges are only up to 2017/18 season. How many more breaches have they committed since the 2017/18 season.

I've lived all over Asia for decades and when Man Utd play the venues are packed with fans from Shanghai to Borneo. Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have huge global fanbases too. Plenty of Spurs fans out there. Even West Ham are far more popular than Man City. A couple of years ago I went to see the Manchester derby in a venue in Hong Kong. 400 Man Utd fans and 1 Man City fan. There is no way they haven't been cooking the books.

Going forward, a simple rule should be implemented. If you fail to co-operate with the governing body over financial queries/irregularities, you are suspended from the league until you do. How can they stonewall for 4 years and have no punishment handed down.
But Mark, this is what Goodwill from titles and a world class manager brings you. That will rapidly create fa bases in new locations and with it numerous commercial opportunities locally and abroad. You keep winning, and automatically brands want to be associated with you.
Man City as well is a project at the core of the City Group, so that gives them a huge commercial network. Growing revenue from 20 million to 300 million in roughly ten years is hardly surprising in these circumstances.

I was in Singapore recently for 2 weeks and never did I see a city shirt except in the puma shop but I saw loads of people wearing United shirts and Liverpool shirts and a couple of Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs tops. Where I live in Australia I’ve never seen anyone wearing a city shirt, I know there are some city fans here, just never seen the top.

100 charges could and arguably should mean instant relegation. But in the interest of being somewhat sensible and acknowledging that simply won’t happen, and also that the PL should have been on top of this years ago, I think they still could be looking at 20 odd points and a 2-3 year transfer embargo.

UEFA had a statute of limitations of 5 years, which most of those charges were outside of that window.

Not only that Premier League rules also state that even if City tried to appeal to CAS they cannot overturn any sanctions imposed by the Premier League, so if the Independent adjudicator The Premier League have put in place to oversee the case finds City guilty there is nothing City can do to overturn the punishment the Premier League hands out.

Also they were never cleared of the UEFA investigation it was thrown out as the statute of limitation was over, the Premier League rules do not have a similar statute and can investigate as far back as they wish
