2g Eclipse DSM Electric Power Steering Conversion

Breakdown of what is needed to install a Volvo S40 electric power steering pump on a 2g Eclipse DSM or any car that used hydraulic power steering. This pump is in a various different Volvo vehicles from 2004-2014. Mounting Solution has to sorted out before plumbing and wiring lengths can be determined. Thank you for watching. / @grumpyvetgarage

- Volvo S40 Power Steering Pump- Used

- 1 each M14x1.25 to 6AN Adapter O-Ring Fitting for pressure into 2g DSM Rack and Pinion. amzn.to/3owN363
- 2 each M16x1.5 to 6AN Adapter O-Ring Fittings. 1 for return off of 2g DSM Rack and Pinion. 1 for pressure fitting from Volvo S40 pump. amzn.to/3qivWFx
- 1 each 6AN 180 Degree Hose End Fitting. For the return line off 2g DSM Rack and Pinion, if you are mounting at the back of car. amzn.to/3OG8rR2
- 1 each 6AN 45 degree Power Steering Fitting. For pressure line coming from Volvo Pump if mounted in back of car. amzn.to/3MAhlwJ
- 1 each 6AN 120 degree Power Steering Fitting. For pressure line on 2g DSM Rack and Pinion, if you are mounting at the back of car. amzn.to/3MYIHxT

Hahaha thanks for the shout out! Very smart thinking on using the antenna power for a signal source, I wasn't by any means trying to say you did it wrong. You did a hell of a job on it, I was tying to bounce some idea's off ya. I also though the hole where the A/C accumulator/dryer canister is for the A/C but I don't want to get rid of my A/C either.
I should probably do a video on all my DSM's, I just picked up another 2g awd talon actually.......I'm far to addicted to dsm's.

You should do videos on your DSMs. My biggest regret was not starting this channel years ago. Did you get he 2g AWD Talon to build or for a donor car? Rust free body?
