Wandering turkey rescued from busy Scarborough streets

- The wild turkey that had been wandering the busy streets of a Scarborough neighbourhood for a few months has been safely rescued and released!
The fearless fowl made Toronto news yesterday after weaving through heavy traffic and sometimes following or pecking vehicles - dangerously close to a highway 401 on ramp. Concerned residents called the Toronto police who then reached out to our Wildlife Hotline for help. Worried the large bird could be struck at any moment, our Rescue Team was soon on their way.
