I Made REAL Boneless Wings WITH NO Wings! I just watched a video from Joshua Weissman making fried rice stuffed chicken wings and I thought I could do that vegan! We are making a simple fried rice stuff seitan! It's going to be a nice and juicy vegan chicken stuffed with mushroom fried rice and coated in some Not Steak Sauce wing sauce combo I made!
I was pretty stoked to try this one out because I KNEW this would be a good vegan chicken and I was right!!

Thank you for sharing this, today I finally signed up after about a year of (unsuccessfully) trying to lose weight without any help. I'm so determined to make this work!
Just a little tip, if you want your seitan to be a bit less dense, add about a 3/4 cup of chickpea flour to every 2 1/4 cup of VWG (1:3 ratio). It makes the seitan a lot less dense and more "tender". Great video as always!
Love that! Thank you!!
@@SauceStache I actually learned it from Wicked Kitchen several years ago. So, they should get the credit! :P
@@TenseCan you translate those quantities into metric please :) .
@@BladeReaderyou can google that or ask AI
@@wotiluv Too glad from you.
i think this is chinese for ai . I'm not sure the ratio is right >> 3/4 - 2 * 1/4 ...??! Why writing 2 1/4 instead of 2/4 .
Dear heavens, STOP IT!! I'm so hungry right now ... here kitty, kitty!! KIDDING! Been vegan for years, but we're just learning all this, it's fabulous! We don't have to spend a fortune at the grocery to try new vegan tidbits! Thank you!! Hi to Monica!! Thanks again, Professor Stache!
hahahaha that was great! thank you!! and very true!
Hey man! Just wanted to say I always loved looking at you before, but seeing your transformation is just so wonderful, and I still love looking at you. Congrats on all your success, with this channel, your book, your relationship with Monica, and your weight loss journey
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you!!
Putting it into a tofu press to shape it, is a brilliant idea! I always get frustrated when shaping seitan. :D
Thank you!!
Okay, okay. The whole idea is bomb BUT the fried rice though - it looked so so good!
ahhh thanks Margarett!!! Yeah I was pretty pleased with this whole thing! The fried rice came out awesome, it was Monicas favorite part for sure
Sauce stache you doing great with these recipes man. Everything you make looks so good keep it up. Love this content.
Thank you sooo much!!
I wonder how that would be with Thanksgiving style stuffing instead of fried rice.
Yessss that would be a cool Thanksgiving recipe
Great vid as always! Love the effort you put into making new things and trying stuff so we don't have to :P The shape and end result reminds me a little bit of this thing called "Soya Chaap". It's an Indian meat alternative that's made from soy and sold in cans with brine. But they have like this wooden ice cream stick in the middle which makes it similar to a chicken with a bone to eat around. I know they use it in street food where they make their own and chop it up into smaller nuggets.
Oh true!! It does look like Soya Chaap!! Ive tried making it in the past and didnt have the best results, I need to find the canned stuff though because I would love to try it!
Nice to see my friend keep moving.
Instead of toothpicks you can use VWG as a glue by running wet finger around the edge and dusting with VWG. It will become a glue but you'll need to let it rest a few minutes to set up.
OMG YUMMMM i'm so hungry now
hahah they were good!!! We chopped them up the next day and just made a stir fry with more rice haha
Came across your carrot meat video… subbed immediately…. Love your channel and energy You get right to the meat of the video’s..😅…I approve this channel. AND congratulations on the weight loss , that’s fantastic
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate all of that! If you try the carrot meat let me know, its really good
Really enjoyed both of your video's!
Awesome, thank you!
Wow they look super yummy, definitely on my queue for next cook day!! 😃
Thank you!!! Enjoy!!!
This looks like fun to make & eat.
100% To both!! haha yes!!
Made some tofu mushroom dumplings and used methylcellulose as a binder. It was incredible.
Nice!! I bet that came out great!!
You are brilliant! Would love to see your take on traditional “chicken” biryani
I remember way back when the comments were like " dude, thats poultry seasoning!!"
Great video! 🎉
hahahah those were the days
These are AWESOME! Would it be possible to make these into chicken patties? I've been trying to make those like gardein's Chick'n Filets but never got close
Ohh for sure you could make these into patties!!! That would come out great!
and thank you!
I dig all of this. *high-fives*
Thank you!!
So good I hope you make tocino vegan too I can't wait for that episode
I don’t think Monica was that impressed. 😆
How was the texture of the fried rice filling though after it’s been boiled?
Congratulations ,it very good this food
Thank you 😋
They're stuffed. Cool.
now i kinda wanna see a whole vegan chicken made by that way
hahah like a rotisserie style? hahah that would be fun
@@SauceStache nope, a whole size chicken made out of seitan
The title can be "THE boneless whole Chicken" 🤣
omg!!! looks so freakin good i love this. also love the veganising of popular youtube vids
Now all we need a boneless pizza recipe
I'm trying to remaster my nutritional yeast seitan with Plant Basics flavors. Are you planning on revisting your chick'n, steak, and pork seitans using Plant Basics packets? I haven't been able to find the right percentages to get the flavor and the texture. Maybe I have to slow cook it in the broth afterwards? Any help would be appreciated.
Im working on a pulled pork seitan now using the plant basics, im thinking I should have it ready soon. I do think the trick is in the broth, the juices are what moves the flavors around the most, but I've had luck with a little added to the gluten mix early on
@SauceStache thanks. I look forward to the video.
Lets gooo
YES!!
MY MAAAAN!!
MY MAAAAAN!!!! First!!!
💖💖💖
Back at ya!! Thank you
If i ground up tvp Will it work as protein poder for the recipe?
totally!! and I bet it would add a nice texture!
Why do u fry them before cooking? Isnt that unnecessary cause u fry it anyway?
You look great!
Yum sounds and looks delicious ❤
Mm seitan dumplings is a fun concept! Both being steamed and all. I don't really see the resemblance to wings though other than on the outside
I was a little sad you missed the “satan” joke when referencing seitan, but glad you picked it up with the “evil” MSG joke.
Every time you utilize fried rice, I cross my fingers that Uncle Roger will review your video.
hahah One day maybe! hahah he would have a field day mocking my channel hahah
and now im mad at myself for not adding in the satan joke!!!
Yeah he totally jokes about vegetarians, but it’s just part of his character, and no doubt it would give your channel a boost.
Tbh I don’t get the stuffing. Does it add to the chicken “feel” or taste? Bit confused here. Looks delish tho
Oh no.. its just stuffed.. Thats all.
GOOD EVENING SAUCYMAN!
Boneless Chick-un FTW!
CHRISTOPHER!!! YES!! This one came out really good!
Should try using rice paper as a chicken skin.
How about a vegan okonomiyaki next? It's a great way to test your vegan bacon.
I watch a lot of your videos, and tried a few. But I'm on a low sodium diet, and recipes with the pea protein are too high in sodium for me. Would chickpea flour work in it's place? and would tapioca starch work in place of the methyl cellulose?and thanks for another great video.
Ohhh man these make me really wish my partner could eat wheat, that looks amazing.
Looks great..it reminds me of chicken sausage
Why you no just add the sess oil in the pan to cook off for a minute instead of adding at the end? Seemed the flavors would get incorporated into the rice better if you sauté a bit, no?
Toasted sesame oil is a finishing oil, if you cook with it you can actually add a burnt flavor to your foods. Its very flavorful on its own so just a little at the end goes a long way
I wonder if Uncle Roger will find this video…
That would be cool
Should try All Vegetarian Food Inc.’s wings. They’re made of pea protein isolate and have a sugar cane bone. Would love to see you try to recreate them.
Ohhh ive totally had them! they are super good! They use a textured pea protein thats not readily available to the public so it would be really tough to replicate! Ive done a few wings using sugar cane and soy skin! which comes out pretty dang good!
He Made REAL Boneless Wings WITH NO Wings
I DID!! hahah thanks
Does the word ‘REAL’ in all caps have a different meaning to the word ‘real’?
Yup
REAL is more real than real
wow yummm gimme
hahah thanks!!
Boneless winglesses!!
bingo!! haha
Very interesting. Has me thinking about fried rice gyoza.
hahah true! that would be good!
😍😍😍
Thank you!!!
joshua weissman inspired
Totally!!
What an odd title lol
hahah thank you
Just finished the video and while it looks tasty, these have no resemblance to Boneless wings. More of a stuffed roll of some sort but definitely nothing resembling chicken in my mind.
Keep up the good work sir.
Fair enough! either way it was good and had that wing taste and texture!
I don't use vegetable oil anymore, it's really bad for you. I switched to lard, it makes all my vegan dishes taste great.
A lot of time & effort to make them though. Don't look at all like wings
Not much time, and not much effort at all actually. No more time or efferent than making anything from scratch really.
Uncle Roger: Boneless chicken, haiiiyyyaaa. What you make next? Sauceless Sauce???
YES!!
I would like to see a cook off between Sauce Stache and Uncle Roger.
Early!!
Super Early! Thanks for being here!!
MSG realy?İt is dangerous for health.
Wow it sounds like you need way too much chemistry to change your eating habit.
nah, you don't have to eat this way if you go vegan. you can just eat whole foods or buy some frozen vegan foods from the grocery store if you want.
hahah yes chemistry... you've never Baked bread before? Its all chemistry, actually ALL cooking involves chemistry... sounds like you only reheat food :)
those aren't wings. they're dumplings
they r wings to me >:(
@@vegggurl hey you do you ~
Didn't know that flowers had wings we could eat
putting Meth in ur food is crazy
Too bad you use MSG
You dont have to... just use more salt and add glutamate through another source like tomatoes, yeast, mushrooms... there are many things loaded with glutamate naturally, MSG is just a way to incorporate glutamate without any added flavors.
Ive read a lot about it and find nothing wrong with it
Canola oil VERY BAD for us😮
This recipe is ridiculous. Just make chicken wings!
its a recipe, the ridiculous thing is getting mad at it and telling someone else what to make...
If you dont want to make this and YOU want to make something else, then YOU make the other thing. I'll keep doing this!
those arent wings those are SAUSAGES
hahahah
That's what I thought too
That’s ok, just flatten it a bit more gluten flour is a bit hard to work with ☺️✨
Your title makes no sense. You didn't make "REAL" wings -- and thank goodness you didn't, as that would involve animal cruelty. You expressly made faux wings as a substitute for the "REAL" deal (which is the very point of vegan substitutions).
So its not chicken & its not wings soooo its not a real boneless wing then😭?
Bingo
@SauceStache I hope it doesn't ruin chicken
