@@luxprincess9420It really rubs me the wrong way that Z-O-M-B-I-E-S feels like that (and I've never seen the movies nor do I want to). Unfortunately, it's not the first time DCOMs ripped off something based on a Mattel doll line. Descendants came out 2 years after we got Ever After High, and that Mal and Ben look a LOT like Raven and Dexter can't be a mere coincidence.

There is an eight year time gap, so many people would say that therefore MH has been around way longer than ZOMBIES.

Monster High has been around longer than Disney's Descendants and Zombies. They started off as dolls and little silly cartoon webisodes, then they started making official movies. They existed back in 2009-2016 along with another franchise called Ever After High (The og high school of princesses and princes) but Mattel was unable to continue making them. They made a new more childish version of Monster High with the same characters but completely different styles/personalities/stories started in 2021. This movie is just a live action of the newer reboot version. I recommend watching the original animated shows of the original Monster High ❤️ there is even the movie called Monster High Boo York Boo York which is the original Monster High musical movie before this new reboot was made.
Edit: A fun fact, like in this movie, there was a half human and half monster character in the og Monster High but he wasnt a villain. His name was Holt Hyde/Jackson Jekyll

monster high was actually a show about well monsters in high school, it was a cartoon that had a very popular doll collection and they have alot of 3D animated movies of the original show and i highly recommend Boo York Boo York as a first watch into the monster high original movies its got so many bops, (the nickelodeon movie isnt claimed by monster high fans as it completely changed the characters and their personalities)
I adore when the commentary guys shout each other out. Every time Billy said Dylan I couldn't help but smile (more than I already do during a Billy video lol) ❤
Fun fact: in the original monster High witches were their own kind of monster and we did have a monster/human hybrid who was the descendant of dr jeykll and mr Hyde and from his monster side was Heaths cousin

@@BillyBingesFor starters, they erased Clawdeen's whole family. She's not an only child, she has A LOT of siblings. At the least they could include Clawdia, Clawde, and Howleen. Draculara isn't a mean girl. In fact, she's that bubbly girl that is practically impossible to hate. As someone else said Deuce and Cleo are a whole thing. They messed this up bad.

Excited you got to watch this! Please continue with the OG Monster High series. I recommend watching some of the webisodes first to get a feel and understanding with the characters before going forward with the films.
Ngl Monster High (the animated series) was my guilty pleasure as an early teen. I did NOT expect it to get this big or to have this popular of a fanbase behind it.

I've been a Monster High fan for a while and Monster High first came out in 2010 and soon came the dolls the same year. The show went all the way to 2018 then there was the reboot that is going still today that got dolls. But then there were movies 8 for the original cartoon series. Now there's the live action movies this one and the second one and then a third one in development.

I never expected you to watch this, but I'm pleasantly surprised! To answer some of your questions, this is based on the monster high franchise, and there were actual dolls made for children, and the movies and tv show was made to promote the dolls. This movie and the second movie in particular were made to promote the 3rd generation or 3rd version of the franchise and the new dolls that released 2 years ago.
@arithejinx actually they started as books first, then the mini series, then the dolls. But I'm so excited that other people watched the mini series too.

It sucks that this movie series got canceled. And on a cliffhanger of all things. The cast a cool, the songs great, the story was good. We got screwed over all because Nickelodeon didn’t want to put Dan Schneider in his place. And by that, I mean the ground.

I know tons of people are going to recommend BOO York, Scaris, 13 wishes, the glamorous movies or whatever but if you do decide to watch the monster high movies I'd recommend Ghouls Rules and Fright on, because those two movies actually give you a better read on everyone's characters and their dynamics which this movie sadly butchered a bit. The other recommendations probably aren't going to make much sense 😭 in boo york, they barely mention the character names which someone pointed out on another reaction I saw, from someone who never saw the show or any prior movies really. Ghouls Rule also touches on the history between humans and monsters. New Ghoul at school is also one you can watch, but its not a movie and about 20 mins long and the start of it all basically.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Cleo looked like Victoria Justice 😭

Middle and high school students have to request a locker each year now after a trend of very few students using them in past years when they were automatically assigned at the start of each school year. Teens rarely even wear coats or carry umbrellas when the weather requires. 😅 Lockers are much narrower from those before 2000 too. They do not fit much at all.

Billy I don't know if anyone has said it back but, You matter to friend. Monster High started as a Doll brand by Mattel in the early 00s . The original Ghouls and Mansters Were Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Lagoona Blue, Clawdeen Wolf, and Cleo De Nile. Each was the child of a famous monster from history. Draculaura being the Vampires Daughter, Frankie being Frankensteins Child as they are Non Binary, Lagoona is the Creature from the black lagoons daughter, Clawdeen is the werewilfs daughter, and Cleo is the daughter of the mummy . The whole concept of Monster High is Everyone fits in no matter who you are, your type, where you came from, where you are going, or what you wanna be . This is a more recent movie live action version on Monster High.When it started there was I think ten or more animated DVDs that followed the journey of ghouls and mansters at Monster high and how they solved issues in the world as they came up like sexual orientation, bullying, self love, fitting in ect. There has been 3 Generations of the dolls, and with each generation comes new adaptations of movies . This adaptation comes with Generation 3.

as a OG MH fan I’ve never seen this movie or planned to.. Monster high definitely was bright but with dark colors. The old animated shows and movies were the best and the style was and is chefs kiss. They changed a lot of their characters which is unfortunate 😢
