Those gremlins were based on the good old "gremlins in the plane". "A gremlin is a mischievous fictional creature invented at the beginning of the 20th century to originally explain malfunctions in aircraft."
One thing I really like about this movie is that it fixes the whole "You have one true love and that's it" mindset. That can be a bit toxic, especially when someone loses a partner like Drac did. I know some think this ignores the original, but I'm glad they decided, "Oh yeah, it's possible to zing more than once." and moved away from that trope.
I completely agree I think since it’s a kids movie they want this “one true love happy being I’d rather be alone than loving another” ending but that’s not reality we as humans grave human connections rather it’s friendships or relationships. I watched a movie called “somewhat great” and instead of going the usual route the couple didn’t get back together they accepted their time had passed I LOVED it because it felt way more real than them seeing each other and getting back together.
They actually made a fourth entry in the franchise! It's alright not the best. Adam Sandler isn't back for the fourth one (Reasons unknown) but the majority of the returning cast is in this one! It was originally meant to be a theatrical release but became an Prime Video exclusive after Sony sold the rights to the film to Amazon because of COVID. So whether you guys want to cover it is entirely up to you :)
I know he isn’t back to voice Dracula in the fourth one but the really cool thing is is that a UA-camr named Brian Hull voices him! He’s a really good voice impressions UA-camr!
I am sooo excited for this! I never watched these movies when they came out (i felt like i was 'over' them in my 20s) but i seriously loved watching yalls reaction to these and i legit got hype for this one! 😂🎉
The animation in this one is less stiff in the last two movies it's feels more like cloudy with a Chance of meatballs type of animation which I absolutely adore it's a little bit more animated a little bit more colorful a little bit less stiff and its approach and the character movement I am really really liking this so far
The last good HT movie.....man i liked that Kitsune monstress! I gotta like the esthetic of a monster yacht...but Erika has a weird chin! The Macarena is always a nostalgic classic
