6:51 very common fallacy based on nonsense tbh. If everyone's own imagination was key, we would not need books, let alone movies. The very point why storytelling is so incredibly, _extremely_ popular is precisely because we love to be told story by others that are so, so much better at it than our own imagination. It's not just that they are so much better at storytelling, it's that they made a giant effort to tell their story while in our head all we do is think about it while we consume the story and then maybe a bit afterwards, not just a trivial amount of time compared to the months, maybe years the professionals have painstakingly crafted their stories but in ours heads we also never engage nearly as deeply nor as extensively with these stories. We _consume_ them. As such it should be fairly obvious that the little bit of our imagination we actually use on any given story created by others cannot ever live up to the huge amount they used of their own imagination for such a long time, paying attention to a ton of details most people don't even notice directly and only notice as part of the whole they don't pay much attention to but which give the story much needed finishing touches. In fact it's often these details that give a more tangible shape to story elements to make them less shapeless and more detailed in our imagination and not actually our own imagination because all we do is try to make sense of the information given in a story and we really very heavily ion such details. E.g. I have a somewhat basic idea how Cormac from the Agent Cormac series looks like really only because of the descriptions of the author, I'd have no idea at all if not for the descriptions and my own imagination would not have had anything to really latch own because to do so we'd have to spend an amount of both time and effort far beyond what we normally do when consuming a story on the level of what people only do when they create their own story to create a non-vague image in our mind. The fallacy is that movie adaptations of books are often unpopular but has literally nothing whatsoever to do with imagination vs reality. It has everything to do with people trying to cram an entire series of books into a single 2 hour movie and cutting corners everywhere while condensing the story so much that is barely recognizable and while also bending it way out of shape for the new, different target audience and because as a Hollywood movie certain things can and certain others things cannot be done for the sake of of popularity, at least according to studio bosses that look at movies _very_ differently than the audience or film makers and try to force a movie that could be good and make a good chunk of money to to make a LOT of money, regardless of how much this will reduce its quality. This is just an issue with studio bosses and shareholders caring only about money and not at all about quality and has nothing to do with imagination. The _only_ time our own imagination is better than that what others, master storytellers, have made is when you create your own story, world, characters and imagine them to be awesome because this is no longer based on others' stories but entirely your own. Of course by its very nature this must be unrelated to what others have made (or just your OC, do not steal) because this is the only way you are not heavily relying on someone else's storytelling because as long as you do, you can never begin to match their effort ad imagination without pouring just as much into your imagination as they did and the only people that do that are not even your average fanfiction authors but those that go really deep and make a huge effort for an extensive fanfiction project and even then only for the parts they added themselves. As long as you consume someone else's story, their words will always weigh far heavier than your imagination because they tell the story and you just try to grasp it.
6:39 oh you very much can. Like that guy with his ms paint drawings of the game console he'd like to "make" on kickstarter or even at the ultra extreme end the Saudi government with their fictional new Line city that is in every single aspect just as delusional as a crypto guy promising 10000% returns, there is a point where imagination becomes unrealistic and then one where it becomes obviously impossible and while an unrealistic idea can be bent into shape and brilliant people working on the issue might even be able to make it real, the impossible stuff some people imagine and then try to sell to others to get their money are so obviously delusional that you can tell from the very beginning that it's all nothing but a giant pile of bs.
I don't really understand your point of view, shiba inu has only one game, no music, no film or anything else, and they have billions....why so much hassle on the gala?
Thank you for calling out the fact that digital games cost the same as physical version. I'm absolutely in agreement that digital versions of a game should be cheaper, since there is no need to print physical discs, pay for shipping and infrastructure, or pay for shelf space in a brick-and-mortar store. Thank you for calling this out.
I agree about crypto people not understanding games or what makes a game fun. it's also really difficult to point out or convince them that something is awry. I guess that's why they're good targets for money.
Been making my crypto mmo for a little over 3 years now, and still holding off on doing any real marketing, but definately made a lot of progress in 3 years almost to a marketing ready state, but will probally hold off for at least about a year to really refine the product.
The truth about physical is half here Kira. You omit one important one. Overheating. Main reason the video games, especially on pc went digital was due to overheating the further technology of games improved. By some point it demanded better vents. Well to have better vents you need more space in your pc. Which pc's don't have anymore, the only available space would collide with cd/dvd driver. Which you need for physical versions ... We also can talk about one game asking to have 5 dvd's to just install. That is case of GTA V. Bigger games ? They would take even more dvd's. At some point games for pc in particular, demanded so much space and were so hardware heavy with heating that the physical HAD TO go. Whether we like it or not, it had to go for hardware reason. It is true for your take about 'they don't want you to rent games' and culprit is right over there with Steam. However what I said was primary reason why physical on pc was gone for so long. And yeah I agree with you, people should have gone after Steam for whooping long time ago. Law also should have gone after both big IT companies AND Steam and it's online store ilk alike.
a lot of that five dvds is unoptimization. same with the heat being created. there are games that look the same as others yet will melt a gpu due to the game being unoptimized.
There are a lot of less demanding games though, it's not all just shallow 4k hyperreealistic HD texture 500 FPS orgies. Me peasant is fully okay with just 60 FPS most times. So if overheating really were a big part of it then I guess blame elite PC gaming masterrace chads for maybe being obsessive about the wrong things.
web 2 is still supperior for hard gammers and developers. web 3 still complicated if you want to play games and developers not only need to make good games but also how to make gamers earn money.. very challenging.
Blizzard definitely has experience or had experience creating polished games but Activision/Blizzard is far too concerned with live service, they have made that aspect of a game the priority so the games themselves now suffer and I buy no more Blizzard games. I did not buy Diablo 4 and have stopped buying Wow expansions. I had some of the best gaming times of my life in Wow but that time has now passed.

Its been fun over the years to watch all these massive house of cards get built and watching them fall just as fast.
You don't get to Hyperspeed with out Hype. You can't reach Hyperspace without Hype. Also backwards was one of the best Red Dwarf episodes.
How do you torture the cats when you're recording?
Otherwise, thanks for the update on crypto games!
This is the first time i've ever heard of gala games
Talking about crypto games, aren't there any news about second earth (or was it called earth 2)? did they reach the moon already? lol
I don't really understand your point of view, shiba inu has only one game, no music, no film or anything else, and they have billions....why so much hassle on the gala?
4 or 5 channels? Man, that seems like a ballache from the viewer side, even. I only knew of this one and kiratv.
15 years ago. 2009. one of the best years for video games imo. Dragon age Origins tho.
There’s a magic the gathering channel?
Fantastic video, you have another subscriber now.
you ever want to cover earth 2 again? some sort of review after the hype? miss that topic on your channel.
Glad to hear you're going back to the crypto lolcows, they're getting brave and loud again since btc hasn't crashed in a while
Kira you’re always killing it with these crypto videos
Thank you for calling out the fact that digital games cost the same as physical version. I'm absolutely in agreement that digital versions of a game should be cheaper, since there is no need to print physical discs, pay for shipping and infrastructure, or pay for shelf space in a brick-and-mortar store. Thank you for calling this out.
I agree about crypto people not understanding games or what makes a game fun. it's also really difficult to point out or convince them that something is awry. I guess that's why they're good targets for money.
Still no Earth2 WhitePaper video?!
That new "game" banana on steam is the new ntf, crypto scheme.
Hear hear! (10/10 vid, all excellent deductions, dear friendo)
When the bull market comes everything even shit projects goes up.
It never does once the hype dies for those shit games it never comes back
Been making my crypto mmo for a little over 3 years now, and still holding off on doing any real marketing, but definately made a lot of progress in 3 years almost to a marketing ready state, but will probally hold off for at least about a year to really refine the product.
the cat was yapping
Cat is going hard tho
I didn’t even know you had a Magic channel. I feel deprived.
Anything new about Earth 2?
I love the kitties in the background :D
Good to see you again Kira
web 2 is still supperior for hard gammers and developers. web 3 still complicated if you want to play games and developers not only need to make good games but also how to make gamers earn money.. very challenging.
*panicked meowing in background*
Kira I can’t believe you haven’t fed your cat for 800,000 years, listen to that desperation.
You have a very vocal cat. Best kind of cat
Whatever happened to earth 2? I don't see people shitting on it anymore.
Please tell me I'm not alone thinking what's Gala Bingo/Gala Casino done, before I clicked on the video!? 🤦😂
Welcome back! love your content.
It's amazing how the same people are cycling back to new stuff, and how they maintain their audiences despite all the bad bets/calls they've had.
wtf is going on with those cats in the background kira?? i am unable to concentrate on the video!
You living in Thailand now or twitter just tripping?
I think so; this new flat he moved in a while back is in Bangkok iir
That's a sick thumbnail u should use it for all of your videos...
“You are either grifting…or a liar”
Surely these are both the same thing.
grifters if they want repeat customers tend to not lie about the product
BUT I HODDLED! Just like the moon-bros and Areyou Reality told me too!
I do not think twitter is an accurate representation of any community, sadly that is what most people see in the mainstream, the influencers that stick their tongue out getting angry at projects because they're not being paid anymore. I would invite you to play Champion's Arena but I probably do not even scratch the surface to get your attention, which is sadly who you should be talking to. People who actually play these games.
So anyone knows whatever happened to Crapto Land?
Pretty sure it's long dead, & the Clowns in charge ran off with the money they convinced people to give them. Just another typical Crypto Clown promise that went nowhere.
Kinda sad how crypto games are not even about actual game play, the only game they "play" is the money game fueled by FOMO.
In my personal opinion i believe crypto can really grow in gaming they just don’t have the talent
Did you say billion with a "B" as in thousands of millions?
Did you do any research before making this video? this video offered no value at all and are you recording this from some kind of Vietnamese nail salon?
I resonate with those cats
