    I have been catching up on your videos and just love your flexible attitude! I have two little boys, 3 and 17mo, and I always feel guilty when I find a routine that works and then have to switch it up because naps or schedules change for them - not sure why that is, nothing ever has to be set in stone, but as someone who loves predictability, it's hard for me to make those shifts sometimes. But I have absolutely loved seeing how you roll with the changes with grace and patience with your littles. Your videos are such a blessing and a positive alternative to a lot of the hot mess mom content that seems to be floating around the socials.

    This is great to watch I’m about to be a mom of 4 but my three children are actually pre teen and teenagers lol. I’m 6months pregnant at the moment working from home and to see how you balance everything gives me hope.

    Hi Beth! I'm so glad I found your channel a few weeks ago! I'm also working from home (full-time) with a 6-month-old. My husband is back at school getting his doctorate and it's been A TIME. Holy moly. It's also hard to find moms on UA-cam who still maintain their full-time (or even part-time) jobs while continuing their UA-cam journey, so thank you so much for your transparency and for allowing us insight into this lifestyle. I've been thinking about making videos to stay in touch with family/friends, but have no idea how to find the time, or how to get started.
    We also don't have family near us (moved to Arizona from Pennsylvania for my husband's program) and it's CRAZINESS trying to balance it all. Once you find a schedule or a rhythm that works, something changes and you start all over again! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful family with your online fam - you are doing GREAT!!! And Little Bear was my favorite show growing up... an absolute classic!!! 💕

    I didn't know you worked outside of UA-cam! I love your content so much! I have a 3 year old and a baby that's close in age to Jude. I work full time with kids in daycare for part of the week and I WFH three days with the kiddos at home with me. It's so nice to hear relatable WFH mom content as I find myself being lonely in my constant balance of work and kid stuff - thanks for sharing!

    This made me feel so seen! I’m a mama of an almost 15 month old girl and work from home. Figuring out how to be productive and a present mother has been challenging. I ended up having to switch into a more projects based role which has been working great! I can pick things up with work when she is settled and playing independently or napping, but also be present with her when she needs me. I have a little set up in her play room with a floor chair and just sit with her while I work on my laptop and frequently take breaks to play with and anything else she needs.
    I don’t know how things will look when we have more kids one day, Lord willing, but for now this has been working for us great 😊

    That is so funny that you show her little bear, bear in the big blue house and out of the box. I do the same thing, those are the shows I grew up on!!! I have also found a consistent routine and repetition are the way to go. Kids love routine. Thanks for your content!

    I’m a stay at home mom and work a full time remotely with my 6 month old son. It is no joke !!!!! I have to really lean on my husband when he gets home, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t have the heart to put my baby in daycare yet. So we are doing we got can while we can. Thanks for sharing maybe I should make one of these videos. Love from Orlando,FL

    I have found it so hard to limit screen time for my toddler since I had my 5 month old! There’s no way I can put her down for naps without him watching tv because he runs in the room every 30 seconds! Looking forward to when she’s on less naps a day because I can tell the additional screen time is impacting his mood day to day.

    Stay at home mom here, but I don’t work from home. I’m a nurse. I work one 12 hour day a week. Let’s me keep my nursing license, get a break out of the house and contribute to our income a bit. I’m thankful for my schedule!

    Are you gluten and dairy free? I am intolerant/allergic to both and haven’t met a lot of people with the same restrictions! If so, would you ever consider doing a video about what you eat in a day?

      Just dairy free (most of the time!) I am lactose intolerant but generally handle gluten well. We had gluten free because my mother in law left them the week before hahah!

    Can you still get EI for mat leave with an income? Or do you have to pay it back?

    • @BethGraceMoore
      @BethGraceMoore  Рік тому

      You can, but you do have to report it and you lose 0.50 cents of every dollar you earn from EI for every dollar you make. So once you make a certain amount on top of EI you basically just cancel out the EI payments!

    Do you think Vivienne is completely done with having a nap or is this just a prolonged regression? I’m going through the same thing with my 20-month-old. She dropped down to one nap super early, like 10 months, but this seems crazy early for no nap at all?

    • @BethGraceMoore
      @BethGraceMoore  Рік тому +1

      I don’t think so because it’s been so many months now! She started fighting it around 18 months and I pushed for it every day until she was around 22 months before offering quiet times. She just wasn’t having it no matter the circumstances haha. Some kids just stop earlier than others 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I’ve been following you since the beginning and consider myself a fan of your content. But this video, for a couple of reasons, made me uncomfortable, to the point that I’m now questioning how much can I trust? I have a 2 year old (almost!) and work from home a very demanding job. Im also still breastfeeding and my daughter is at home with a nanny. I take care of the house chores, on top of work, and my husband and I split caring for our daughter. There’s a thin line between “giving productivity tips” and making it look like you can do it all in an almost perfect (and unrealistic, in my opinion) way. The whole “I do ten thousand different jobs” on top of being the perfect mother and doing all these activities and almost no screen time (15 mins of non stimulating content) oh and my daughter doesn’t nap but she does really well with silent time and also does her bed and and and.. it looked unreal. I’d be lying to myself if I said I believed it could be so easy/ effortless. Either the jobs are very low hanging fruit sort of tasks, or you simply have to have more help. There’s no way a person can work for 2 hours a day, or at nights, and be crushing it there, and also doing really great with handling 2 kids so young, and be crushing it there; and even if that was possible, you’d be exausted, or your relationship would be suffering, or another area of your life would be lacking- something!- and that part should also be communicated throughout the video. To me this video gave me a big sense of inadequacy. I felt like despite the huge effort I put into everyday I’m so far away from being “so perfect” like what you showed in the video. It honestly resembled toxic positivity sort of content. I’m sorry. I’m not going to unsubscribe, I still think you are an amazing content creator, but I’m giving you my honest feedback.

    • @BethGraceMoore
      @BethGraceMoore  Рік тому +5

      Hi Ines! Thanks for sharing your feedback - I appreciate you taking the time, and I appreciate you being here! I’m sorry the video didn’t sit well with you. I think something that’s important to keep in mind here is that I work for myself right now. With self employment I can squeeze in work when it makes sense for me - not an employers timeline. That allows me to be much more flexible during the day, but it also means that I have weeks that are very intense and require late work nights until 1 or 2 am. Of course, some weeks/days are more relaxed. You are seeing a picture of a pretty relaxed work day here, where my main priority is editing a video for myself that doesn’t need to be approved by a brand in advance. That’s a pretty easy work day for me! I definitely have harder moments (and seasons), but that doesn’t make anything in this video necessarily unrealistic - it is my reality and I’ve worked super hard to be in a position where I can work flexibly for myself like this, while staying at home with the kids. Every video that I post (and that other creators post) needs to be taken with a grain of salt. There are of course challenging days where quiet times don’t go well, dinner doesn’t get made on time, screens are used more than others, etc, even if that’s not what you see happening in this particular video.
