@@unionxdirection I still remember seeing 9-yr old Chenle for the first time on China's got talent, then i got into NCT late last year and thought he seemed familiar but couldn't put my finger on it and then I was in shock for 6 hours. And then later I found out Jisung and Chenle met back on another show when Gangnam Style broke out. Chenle always had so much shine to him and poor Jisung was just a shy dancing bean on a Chinese show where all the hosts were trying to speak chinese to him lol.
Lol I was literally thinking “sooo who’s going to tell him they’re actually older than you expect”. But they definitely did play down their age and dressed them younger.

Yeah but at that period of time it's quite uncommon, all of them were at the age of maknaes of other groups that time, so they seemed even more young. Even now after 4 years they're still around the age of the groups debuting this year.

Everyone got some time to shine and I’m so proud of each of the members for coming so far as performers and artists. This song is a total ear worm and I love it so much. (You’re shook by the debut vs now, but imagine how shook we were by the transition between We Young and Go lmao😂🤧)

it makes me so happy considering that sm was trying to graduate them out of the group, and then their first comeback after that system ended achieved all of these goals, first nct song to reach #1 on melon, #1 on iTunes in 49 countries (so far), all tracks have been in top 6 of melon, second highest sales on the first day and fifth of all time, and completely covered twitters trends. i got a little carried away but it just shows how powerful they can be

I think SM came to their senses, and realized it would be impractical to “graduate” 4 members of a 6-member group. They might have gotten away with 1 or 2, but not 4.

Both of them ended debut with large members at that time. (Suju 15 member, SNSD 9 member)
Also a sub-unit of various countries, Super Junior & SUJU M. SUJU M did not get the same promotion as SUJU. EXO K & EXO M, ending with EXO like now.
And now SM is trying again with NCT, the limitless member, graduation system, rotation system, Also a sub-unit of various countries. There is a small wish that it does not happen (forgive me, trainees, out there). It's okay to add sub units, but with a limitless member & graduation system like AKB48 sister or like After school, it is likely that some members don't have the opportunity to develop and show their talents and they will have difficulty getting solo jobs in the future.

How to pronounce Renjun and Chenle
Renjun : in hangul is Reonjuin or Leonjuin, but for easier we can say "Ronjun"
Chenle : in hangul is Cheonleo but Korean call him Cheoleo (idk why, it's korean thing). For easier we can say "Chonlo".

You are so right about the concept not being sustainable as many fans have said. Honestly as cool as the concept of NCT being limitless, I think I has indeed hampered their ability to really take off. Like they are sooooooooo talented and wish they got a little more recognition. But I've met so many people that are casual fans of NCT but haven't really become true fans because of the confusing concept and uncertainty. I mean a big part of Kpop is really rooting for your faves wholeheartedly. That kinda becomes a little difficult, when members/ lineups are either constantly changing or new people are added. It's not undo-able, but for new fans/ people not their from the start it can be quite daunting and really be limiting to gaining new fans.

Fun fact: Jisung was 14 yrs old (korean age) in Chewing Gum, The 00 liners which are Haechan, Renjun, Jeno and Jaemin were 16 yrs old Chenle was 15 yrs old and Mark was 17 yrs old in Chewing Gum. Now the 00 liners are 21 yrs old in korean age but officially Jeno and Renjun are 20 since their birthday just passed, Haechan and Jaemin haven’t turned officially 20 yet. Chenle is 20 in korean age but he is officially 19, Jisung is 19 in korean age but 18 officially. Mark is 21 in korean age but 20 officially. Chewing Gum was Mark 3rd Debut song in the NCT Universe. Also Mark, Haechan, Jaemin and Jeno they trained together since 2013, it was later on that Renjun and Chenle joined SM. Renjun and Chenle joined SM at 2016. Jisung started training in SM at the age of 10 and he had dance lessons before, B-boying was is dance lesson before he entered SM. They grew in our eyes, feeling a proud mom here seeing them all grown up already huhuhu.

Just to simplify this comment for anyone who needs it (because Korean ages can get confusing!!):
Korean age is based on the year you were born, not your actual birthday. When you're born, you're already one year old. On January 1 of the next year, you turn two, etc.
Right now, Mark (born in 1999) is 22 in Korean years, but he is 20 in international age, as his birthday is on August 2 and has not yet passed this year.
Renjun and Jeno (born in 2000) are both 21 in Korean years, but they are 20 in international age because their birthdays (March and April 23, respectively), have already passed.
Haechan and Jaemin (also born in 2000) are also 21 in Korean years, but they are only 19 in international age because their birthdays (June 6 and August 13) haven't passed yet.
Chenle (born in 2001) is currently 20 in Korean years, but he is 18 in international age because his birthday (November 22) hasn't passed yet.
Jisung (born in 2002) is currently 19 in Korean years, but he is also 18 in international age, like Chenle, because his birthday (February 5) has already passed.
To make things easier, if your birthday has not passed yet this year, your Korean age is two years older than your international age. When your birthday passes, your Korean age will then only be one year older than your international age. This can get a little confusing for those who aren't familiar with the concept of Korean age (a baby born on December 31 turns two years old the next day!!), but it's easy enough to grasp once you get the hang of it :)

Also just came and rewatched your reaction again and wanna say about your words about how his hairstyle suits Jaemin so well. I think SM stylists kinda found haircut that suits Jaemin perfectly and basically stick to it with some slight changes over the year. Ofc sometimes it can be styled differently but in general it's all the same haircut plus a lot of color changing bcuz literally every color suits him. And I think it's nice that they don't experiments too much on his haircuts bcuz we know sometimes stylists can go too far

more than they waiting 4 Mark to debut as Dream, they were waiting 4 the whole group as a concept, they even added Chenle with just 2 months of preparation and that's just because of his background and cause he suited the best! Don't forget Mark already debuted with U and 127 before being part of Dreamies too. Also, Mark was 17 at that time, so is kinda of a miracle he were add there! SM already has the idea of a group like this so they were just waiting and chosing, but I'm glad they turn out like this, 7Dreams win!
I recommend you to react to Boom - NCT Dream Dance practice because the dance is quite "mature". I also want to know your opinion about the dance :)

If im not mistaken, Jisug debuted when he was 14years old and Mark was 17. So basically most just broke into their teenage years. This Reload MV totally showed how good the dreamies grew up physically and skill-wise.
