Corrections:
-At 17:45 I‘m of course referring to a NEUTRON star and not a neuron star. That would actually be nuts if something like a neuron star existed.
-The supermassive blackholes in the centers of galaxies actually aren‘t responsible for holding the galaxies together.
-Proxima centauri is only 4.247 lightyears away from Earth (4 and one quarter) instead of 4247 lightyears.
-Pluto wasn't actually demoted for its size, but for not having a clear orbit (one of the three requirments to be considered a planet). Pluto is located in the kuiper belt and it isn't gravitationally dominant enough to remove the surrounding objects out of its proximity.
-At 14:33, the planet on the right side is actually Venus, but it should have beeen Mercury.
Thanks to the people that point out the mistakes I made, I don‘t want to spread misinformation. I’m only human so mistakes are bound to happen.
also, Proxima isn't 4,247ly away, it is 4.247ly away, as in, four and one quarter
also the smbh at the center of the milky way, Sagittarius A*, has been photographed now
there is a theory about the universe becoming a large brain... so technically possible
Also, Haumea IS definitely a dwarf planet.
A neuron star would be some Eldritch stuff there.
Dang this is crazy! Shout out to the people who invented space
Yeah thanks God
no cap.
Wait, you aren't the same person????
Thanks big bang
Thanks dad
Milkdromeda gonna be the most hype release of 4 billion.
Correction: TriMilkDromeda in ??? Billion Years
Fr can't wait
only if they change that name
@@starrynight1165 andromeda's way, sounds like an indie band
I cant wait, me and the boys gonna be up at midnight waiting
One thing I want to bring up is that the supermassive blackhole doesn't actually hold together the galaxy. It's just located at the center of the galaxy's mass. The blackhole's effect on the galaxy is microscopic compared to the galaxy's overall gravity
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I just checked and you're absolutely right. I think I found this specific information in an article, and just included it in the script without checking with other sources.
This does make sense. A supermassive black hole is *supermassive*, but can't be so incredibly massive that it negates the effects of all stars that orbit around it.
Black holes are generally limited in size by how much material they can get, and in a supernova, a lot of material is just blasted away, so Black holes generally aren't big.
Supermassive Black holes are different, they shouldn't be that big, so they could've been caused by incredibly massive stars making a black hole in their centres from pressure that devours them.
Even then, they wouldn't be massive enough to have multiple stars orbit around them, even at a great distance. It would always be a barycenter somewhere off-centre from the singularity due to the mass of stars.
@@AstronAndry well a youtube channel actually proposed a theory where in the early time of universe some stars ware so big that there core collapsed into a black hole due to the stars mass crushing it
@@AstronAndry that could be why some black holes so big than theh should be
@@tanmay0108 Yeah, that's what i was referencing
Space has a lot of plot holes but I feel like the creators are working on fixing them out in the future.
Space seriously needs some bug fixes
@@f40carz93 but the ocean needs to be its priority for now, it is too buggy
@@cythrex They're just leaving most of it though, they wait until we start exploring more.
maybe they are working on a massive update, it will probably come out with the spaceship update
@@f40carz93 i think oceans update will be the last one, we will explore all the space stuff and come back to earth to explore the oceans, maybe with a final boss or something
Can't wait to have an existential crisis again 😁
Literally
The bit about the Pillars of Creation being suspected to be destroyed is something I didn't know. Now I feel like it's a shame I won't be around in the next thousand years to see what that'll look like when the light reaches us.

I feel like our guy got waay over his head with this . . and starts to fail at just 15:00 mark . . . as much as I want to say "he's trying it's best" I also want to say "STOP , That Is TOO MUCH"
The idea that the Pillars of Creation were destroyed 6000 years ago is actually scary when considering the timeline. The Pillars were discovered only recently in history and yet may have already disappeared long before we humans even knew space existed. I think it's scary.
The Pillars of Creation are hiding underneath your bed!
something happening without our knowledge is.... scary? to you? 😬
I think you’re a wimp
I'd honestly be actually more scared if we spent gazillion dolans on a voyage only to arrive too late for any sightseeing

The ending sent me a heart attack because i genuinely thought that my laptop actually crashed-
yeah im high as shit right now and i almost died when that hapenned
IT GOT MY ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY I THOUGHT MY HARDDRIVE FAILED AGAIN
I was in that state between being awake and asleep, where I’m still sorta listening but, it’s mostly just my brain ensuring my environment is safe to sleep; running some caveman code. For a split second, it very much was not safe.
@@jacksonlaframboise6257 holy shit bro same im earing my pods and laying down on my bed rn and i got jumpscared which was NOT fun
I had a heart attack when that happened, but just because I didn't expect it 😭
So minor confusion: Pluto wasn’t demoted for its size. According to the definition of planet, it must orbit the Sun, it must have a strong enough gravitational pull to make it a sphere, and it must have a clear orbit. The reason Pluto was demoted was that since it’s in the Kuiper Belt, it’s orbit was not cleared enough for it to meet the third category. Also Exoplanets are just planets which meet every requirement but orbit a star other than the sun like Proxima Centauri.
Thanks for pointing out. I added it to the pinned comment!
I feel so extremely small watching this. It makes me feel like all my experiences are like tears in the rain

Fun fact: In Ukrainian, Milky Way has a bit different name - Chumaks’ Way (Чумацький Шлях). Chumaks were traders, that were cycling all across Ukraine’s territory from 15th to 16th. Their main good was salt, which they were mining and then selling. As you can guess, our galaxy reminded us of salt, spilled on road, so that’s how it got it’s name
Dont care
That’s really interesting :)

That factoid about the sun taking 250 million years to lap around the Milky Way really puts the absurd scale of a galaxy into perspective. In other words, it's been about 1 galactic "year" since the beginning of the Triassic period.

sorry 😬
I SCREAMED FR
Shout out to the camera man for getting these good shots!
Was waiting for that Uranus joke...was not disappointed. Thank you sir.
It’s insane how large andromeda is, to have its satellite be the third largest galaxy (in the local group)
just started it, but i already know this needs more recognition😩😩
I am SO READY for this video! Thank you mr scrabbl for being awesome :)
Thank YOU for watching Mr Demon :)
Saggitarius A* was observed a few years ago - first there was video of imaging data from this region showing stars orbitting 'nothing' with incredible speed. Then they focused telescopes on Saggitarius A* itself and captured it's acretion disk image with all its few hundred pixels glory (thats actually stunning achievement)
One of the guys, who was part of the team, actually visited our school to teach about it, very interresting stuff
It is criminal how i still laugh everytime i hear someone say Uranus
You're so underrated man. Keep it up, you're gonna get big real quick!
Great video brother! Looking forward for part 2!
Commenting for the almighty algorithm because these videos deserve more views, great stuff
When the world needs him he returned, love your content man
Informational and amazing, such an underrated youtuber
Huge fan of your videos. Looking forward to the next part
A correction for 23:07, proxima centauri is only a little over 4 light years away from our own solar system, the figure used may have been a typo but i noticed it nonetheless
also that the literal translation of proxima is not ‘the nearest star to the sun’ it’s the feminine adjective meaning ‘nearest’
I'm so glad I found you on UA-cam, your videos are amazing and your voice is really soothing 😊
Great informative video to listen to while I'm on custodial duties at my college. Helps make scrubbing toilets more bearable if I'm distracted.
great video, like usual
Man your so underrated its always a good day when you release a new vid
amazing video. i don’t really know anything about space so this video was rlly educational for me!
the greatest intro to any video i’ve ever seen great video man new subscriber here
Bro .. that ending almost got me killed from a heart attack.
Uranus was known as Georgium Sidus for nearly 70 years until 1850, when Her Majesty's Nautical Almanac Office (HMNAO) finally changed the name to Uranus.19
Thats cool thanks for sharing
Love your stuff man
i was gonna wait until the end of the video to make a comment about space and how much i love it, but that glitch ending literally made me lightheaded that's how scared i got.
...still really awesome video with segways into learning more about space!
Great video, I really like astronomy I find it interesting
The piece we all anticipated 🍵
amazing as always!!!
Thank you so much Liz!
Glad I found your channel, very interesting subjects.
Well, looks like studying for finals will have to wait for 37 minutes
36:58 gave me a jumpscare, holy cow
Nice vid!
I appreciate the eventual/subtle Uranus joke 😂
As someone who's computer constantly ran into bad errors, F you in Uranus for that outro, but other than that, great video!
my bad
Loved the video
It's the middle of the night, I'm laying in bed, watching space shit. Sorta drifting off, then you hit me with the "Signal Lost" bit and scare the piss outta me. Bravo, mate
Fun video, always love me some astronomy
Impressive outro you don’t see many creators taking a risk like that
what
This video is just proof that all it takes to scare me is slow music and audio being played backwards.
GIVE THIS MAN MORE SUBS
"Natural Satellite" you learn something new every day, thanks, bub.
Hopefully this gets 1 mil
The last meteor on the thumbnail looks like a capybara
just wanted to add that, as of a few weeks ago, scientists believe betelgeuse will go supernova in “tens of years” now, rather than tens of thousands. if you’re youngish now you could very well live to see it
Hey! You did that use the full image for the black hole, its actually much larger if you look into it! Either way, very cool!!
Bro im only just getting to lv 2 but its already so sicc🔥ima have to leave one more comment at the end of the video
My college professor has his PHD in Astronomy and he did his PHD research thing on Globular Clusters. they are pretty interesting.

4:21 minutes in and I realize I had found QUALITY CONTENT, thank you sir.👌✨️
Edit: subscribed.
2:23, no we are not there, that's a flipped Ultra Violet image of the M31 Andromeda Galaxy by GALEX in 2003 and 2012.
Looks like you're right, do you maybe have a source that I can check out? I'd be happy to add it to the list of corrections in the pinned comment.
@@Scrabbl Yes I do, but unfortunately I can't post the link to it due to UA-cam censorship, maybe you can research about it when you have time to?
Censorship? I‘m pretty sure UA-cam lets you post links to external websites, if they‘re scientifically valid.
@@Scrabbl I don't think so, I tried posting links from a NASA article titled "The fading Milky Way", an article about light pollution (on another channel) to prove someone that light pollution exists, it kept getting deleted without a warning. Other than that, I have tried posting a link for the source you've been asking for, that also kept getting deleted.

I hope we find some crazy discoveries in the next few decades
25:29 You see Saturn was a big fan of star wars so he decided to change the moon into the death star
Must be a lot of computing power for our creator to simulate our universe
Crazy!!! Shout out to the cameraman!
underrated channel
Pretty sure the moon should be called Luna and the Earth called Terra. Far better than PSR 1677-32B etc.
17:45 *Neuron* star lol ⭐🧠
this some wild wizardological stuff ngl man
lol you got me with the Uranus part 😂
18:40 black holes actually don't keep galaxies together, this is why scientists couldn't figure out what does and came up with dark matter
Sadly, dark matter as a theory continuously fails in testing. I see it as more of a placeholder until we find something better. You should look into the magnetic universe theory as it could explain what dark matter can’t. Not 100% sure so take what I say with a grain of salt
Dark matter is a placeholder for Your MOM
One of the best well made iceberg videos. Mashallah.
Thank you habibi
Heaven doesnt exist god is not real jesus is gay and pedophile
Nice vid
I imagine scientists in 3 million years investigating the tesla impact crater and thinking it is a crashed alien ship.
- Asterisms and constellations are different
- Dwarf planets are not just normal planets but smaller, there are many criteria that makes something a planet vs a dwarf planet including its gravitational strength, its orbit and how close to a spheroid it is
- Proxima centauri isn't 4247 light years away! It's only just over 4 light years, no idea how that massive typo slipped in there
- It's neuTron star and neutrons, not neurons
- The photo of the M87 black hole shows its accretion disk, a bright ring of superhot glowing material orbiting the black hole or being pulled into it, not a "polarisation of the magnetic fields that surround it"
I bet there is at least five rocks in space.
I think its closer to 7 imo
Very interesting.
the outro jumpscared me ngl its night time and i have tears in my eyes xD
