Oh great, I already have your voice in my head whenever I do “squidgy widgy”, now you’re gonna be in there saying “tappy wappy”! 🤣. These turned out brilliant Steve, thanks for the video. I’d like to see the holographic paper on the faceted one, I think all the facets would refract beautifully in it.
Thanks for your tips!! I had to order another black sharpie so I could do this! My 39 yr. Old son is a crafter but on a different level. He forgets to put back certain things, such as my pens, my scissors , and my tweezers. Lol i’m just grateful he’s entertaining himself with crafts instead of drugs which almost killed him 10 yrs, who! I don’t know why I shared that , but it’s for someone out there ❣️🙏🧎🏼♀️
Steve, thank you for talking about how figure how much resin you need to measure! I was never a great math student so any tips are greatly appreciated!! 😁👍
Stumbled upon your channel by chance and I am really happy I did! I'm doing research into resin with a view to expanding my little online jewellery shop and your videos have been super helpful and give me confidence in what I've learned, so huge thank you for that! I'm with you, I love that faceted sphere, looks like a trophy straight out of the Crystal Maze!
I really loved both of your orbs and your right the faceted one is really outstanding. Your work is precious to us. Keep up the great works of art🌟🌟🌟🌟🐾🐾🐾🐾🥰🥰🥰🥰🌟🌟🌟
I’d like to share something I just learned about getting completely rid of all bubbles before you pour into the mold…after you combine both parts you set your container into another container with hot water and it turns your resin completely fluid with no bubbles at all. Amazing!!
Tappy wappy, squidgy widgy 😂 You should copy write em.😂 Your enthusiasm for what you do is right up there.😎 Really like the faceted one because it refracts much more light and colours.
Ein bißchen Isopropahnol in den rand der der Form wenn man sie abzieht ,hilft beim rausholen . A little isopropanol in the rim of the mold when you peel it off will help get it out.nice channel
Stunning!! The faceted one is absolutely gorgeous, I think I would add something to it for color.... Not adding color to the resin but putting something in to be reflected in the facets. Love how it's picking up the black just sitting on it. Stay safe, you do you, and stay crafty 👍👍🔔🛎️🦋🦋💞💞
These turned out amazing I love them so much. Also I love your channel I found you the other day and I can’t stop watching your videos I’m very new to resin as I’ve learnt so much from you thank you so much 😀
Didn't those spheres come out well Steve! I really liked the faceted one. They go so well with the culled hands. Thank you for another great video. So glad you got your 3D printer. God bless you and your family.
These have turned out lovely! I adore the faceted one, but they both look great! Thank you Steve 😊!!! I have been waiting patiently for this video! You always deliver!!
so the smooth one might look better in person, it just looked greasy and smudged by fingerprints also the amber you added just made it look like was already yellowing! great tip if you trying to age up a replica
These are stunning! Love the faceted one and the hands, wow! I’ve wanted the mould for a while but thought they’d use too much resin….now I’m off to tour other channel to see how you made these 😅 thank you Steve 💗
Oh Stevie you've done it again!! Mind 🤯 blown love them both. I love those moulds not had much success with the half and half ones that you hold together with tape
Steve, can you please make a video about what is better to pop the bubbles in resin. Is it a heat gun or a lighter? Because I have seen you use both and I am really curious about it.
I like the clear resin more than the yellowed one, and marginally like the faceted sphere more than the smooth. I also love the holographic paper on the bottom. Is there any way to project a photograph into the smooth sphere? Getting a picture to create the illusion of the old holographic 3 d pictures would be cool. Do you add a layer of resin atop the holographic paper to secure it in place and to make the bottom perfectly flat, rather than hollowed a bit?
I love them both but the one with the facets I’d just like it as is simply placed on my desk. The holographic one looks better in the hands. Now I’m wondering how the faceted one will look with the holographic stuck to the bottom. I’m sure many others would like to see that as well. Please show this
This is great! It's kind of hard to tell, but did you make these in a single pour? I am scared to do this with the molds I have that are close to this size because I am terrified of getting an exothermic reaction. Yet, when I pour in layers, I can't get them to blend and it looks awkward.
Hey Steve, liked your vid but have some ?s. First, the faceted orb is dazzling but the globe appears to have a bit of a hazy surface. Is that just an effect of the video? Second, I would like to cast an object suspended in the middle. Do you know how to do that without having any suspension material showing?
I like the faceted one the best but both are lovely. Is there a way to make a sphere fully spherical (without the flat bottom)? Love your videos, they’re super informative, thank you
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts my son has always been a huge fan of it. I bought him a small crystal when he was little but this would be a big surprise lol ❤
I am curious, what different products have you used in the deep pour resin to give it colour? I recently bought some, I added a translucent dye to it, and some glitter, and the glitter basically floated to the bottom, so wondering if it is only meant to have colour added to it vs adding something like glitter. thanks
Do you know if, resin inside a aluminum can such as coke or sprite would work. Thinking of doing a project. Asking if you think it would work before I waste product. Lol
I have a question about the highest temperature silicone molds can handle from a small heat gun. I have found heat guns with duel temperature settings, but I found two different temperature ranges in them. Both seemed kind of high to me, but I want to find out if at least one of the ranges is okay. I already asked you this question once before, but I guess you didn't see it. I know you must get tons of comments, and can't possibly get to all of them. Thanks.
@@tiffanysandmeier4753 Thanks. Neither of the heat guns I am looking at are that high, so I am relieved. They are both duel temperature, but the low temperature of one is 392 degrees Fahrenheit, and the low temperature of the other is 480 degrees Fahrenheit. I think I'm going to get the 392 degrees Fahrenheit one, even the other one seems like it might be better quality. But, I haven't decided for sure yet.

Just ask Google. Literally turn on voice assistant & when you need to do math say 'Hey Google' what is 2+2'.
lol. I just came here to say I love how simple he made that. Def helps so we don’t waste extra resin 😂
Both of them are absolutely dazzling. If I had to choose one over the other, it would be a hard one to make. LOVE these.
I absolutely love the the faceted orb with the dark glittery hands. They are beautiful.
Ty for the Matheson your a doll so sweet anadorable hunny❤😘👍

Thank you Steve for showing us the beauty if the faceted ball. I really love it. Great video.
I appreciate the maths! You can also remove the holographic vinyl edges with a few swipes of an emery board around the edges instead of a blade
Hi Steve, WOW Really fab I cannot Choose Between the two I love them both thanks for sharing another Awesome tutorial 🤗👍 Lin

I like the faceted one more it came out clear and shiny ✨ ✨ ✨
Nice job Steve love the diamond one
Hi Steve Thanks for sharing this
They're both great. Especially liking the faceted one!

♥️ the faceted sphere!
Love the faceted globe
Beautiful results Steve. Love these💕
Faceted my fav but I actual like a couple of bubbles reminds me of those paper weights my gran used to have as a child x
I love the faceted one 😍
Ooh I love these!!❤️
I love the faceted one.
Love both of them.
Different ones for different moods.
Though I would do the unfaceted one clear or a tinge of blue.

I would put a beautiful candle in the hands, love the holographic piece.
Love those!
I love both but the crystal cut looking one I like best however could you also put the airodesent on the bottom of it to see what it would look like
I love them both❤️❤️❤️
I enjoy the work, the focus on measurements and the creative applications.
But I've got a two parter right now and the title mislead me.
I like both, are so pretty

How hard would it be to make the hands mold into a wall shelf?
What's a good resin just for silicone molds that are not too deep?

Does it feel like glass, and how hard is it?

How can I measure my resin cups so I can read it?? I just started buying the four cup measuring cup with good numbers
Loved it

Where do I find how you made the hand
Ever put the hologram paper on faceted one?
It is possible to tell how the body of your silicone mold is the outer part of the body of the original model
Do you have a link for the holo film Steve ? As I couldn't find it in your Amazon shop link
Did I see you making a sphere that was beveled on the outside? Can’t find a mold .

It could be that specific molds are sensitive to different temperatures, but I did search and found silicon molds max temp is 560f or 293c.
