I can't believe the comments on here... How a band chooses a cause and to help in their own way. Use their popularity and their music to help and do good in this world while most of us sit on our asses watching and saying this video is crappy and comparing to Fall Out Boy and making stupid unfounded and unresearched comparisons and judgements with Kony 2012 etc. This band just did 1000 times more than any of us will do in our entire lives to help a cause that they found dear to their hearts. This is how music works and unites people in doing good.
Wow. Most bands use their leading single to show a naked woman and go viral, this band uses it to promote something great. Definitely one of the best bands out there and truly great people! Love you guys!

This is why yellowcard is my favorite band because they do things like this to help the world become better and to help other people lives when they are in need of it.
This was probably the best choice they could have made for a single for lift a sail. A song that builds up and has a great guitar solo. I love it

I think its absolutely amazing when bands use their positions to spread a message that needs to be heard, like Yellowcard here, or Anti-Flag in Sky is Falling.
+Casper Howell agreed. I just wish yellowcard tried harder to stick to their roots a bit more. Anti-Flag, although becoming much more mainstream sounding, has maintained their core as a band and used this to produce great albums. Loved American Spring.

Powerful video and song. Not the YC I first knew (Ocean Avenue) but I've been listening to them since then and I'm glad they have changed again and again. Things are not meant to be the same forever. That being said, this album is probably my least favorite but I'll give it a listen from time to time. Who knows it might grow on me... YC is still my favorite band, no matter what.
These guys are breaking up because everyone always referred to Ocean Avenue and you can see that by the views all their other videos and music have gotten. But they have made so much more awesome music than just Ocean Avenue, even Lift a Sail which is one of their least appreciated albums is still amazing, this song, Crash The Gates, Lift A Sail and Transmission Home are some of my favorites

Invisible Children is one of those situations where you can't judge the whole by the few. Yeah, so the guy who did most of the Kony stuff made an ass of himself, but that doesn't right off that a lot of what he was advocating was a REAL ISSUE. If someone who was in charge of an orphanage had an affair, does that mean orphanages are bad? No, it means the person in charge of a good organization did something stupid. That's what happened here. Just because the Kony media campaign got blackballed by that guy's actions doesn't mean that the campaign wasn't wrong or needed, but people love to jump to conclusions.
Just a friendly reminder that people who have mental illness or breakdowns are not "asses." People were pretty ruthless online towards the video's creator after KONY2012 was released, and I cannot imagine the stress and pressure this caused him. I highly doubt that he was in control of his actions when he had the breakdown. If anyone is an ass in this situation, it would be the people who trolled and cyber-bullied him to the point that he could not cope with the stress. (Also side-note: he has made a full recovery and is still an amazing advocate for IC!)

This song is more depressing once you know what its about. From what I've gathered off some sites that are debatable in terms of truthfulness but share the same narrative. Ryan Key's fiancé was a professional skier and was paralyzed from the waste down. The songs title is about a one bedroom apartment he bought near the hospital so he could be near her.
