I am from NYC - KL is cleaner, safer, more fun and way better quality of life. Good value for money too. Thanks for hospitality - I always feel home in Malaysia and in general Asia. The only bad place in Asia is S Korea - small minded racists and colorists. My Malay friends and I were not denied entry into a club in Seoul. Cause we were brown skinned or something. I could have beaten up the little Korean feminine males ( I am 6'4" 120 kg MMA guy) but too old for that now at age 45. Go where you are treated best.

Born and raised in NYC area, have lived in KL for 11 years now. You cannot really compare they are both very different and have good and bad like any other city. However, NY is a better city to live in when younger and KL is much better if a bit older I feel. Conclusion, I loved my time in NY and love my life here in KL now. Kind Regards.
NY is super expensive, dirty, unsafe and people are super rude.

KL area is actually quite small, about 2mil people but, the greater KL area which is also called Klang Valley is 8+ mil people. But, this area forms almost 50% of Malaysia GDP which is US$200bn. This makes this area pretty high income at about US$25,000 - US$30,000.
Similar to London, City of London is quite small when compared to the entire city.
So, $25,000 - $30,000 is a lot in Malaysia? 😳 I had to look it up, it seems that the GDP of Sweden is twice that of Malaysia... Which is insane... Since we are only 10 million people and Malaysia has 33,5 million... #Mindblown

Equating Kuala Lumpur with New York is very far, there are still many other big cities that are similar to New York such as Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing. Not so dirty in outskirt compare than other country. In malaysia cleanliness is priority. Our city council will fine you RM500 - RM1000 if you throw rubbish everywhere.
Malaysia is a small kampung city with a big heart. The further you move away from it, the nearer you want to be
One huge difference from NYC though, is that there's a lot less people on the streets... ☺ Although, from a building standpoint and the climate, I would much prefer KL to NYC. Nice video, kudos to the creator.

one thing that westerners always fail to understand about asean tropical or middle eastern countries is that most people there don't usually spend much time while it's scorching hot outside. they go to malls or inside offices instead. that's why they don't suddenly dropping dead when heatwave happen like westerners. they know what they are doing. so don't be alarmed if it's quiet during the day

There's a lot of things to do and see in Nyc tho. KL is okay, I live here. But the skyline is better than NYC, it's like cyberpunk here.

Perlu ada 3 underpass di Jalan Bukit Bintang ni di depan Menara YTL, Pavilion & Federal Hotel untuk orang ramai melintas tanpa tunggu lampu isyarat. Letak pagar supaya orang tidak melintas sesuka hati. Lalulintas trafik akan lebih lancar, dan untuk elak teksi berhenti menunggu ditepi jalan.

When the Federation of Malaysia was formed in 1963 and Singapore was a part of it, our first Prime Minister His Excellency Tunku Abdul Rahman once predicted that Kuala Lumpur would be Malaysia's Washington and Singapore it's New York! However it never materialised when Singapore left the Federation to become an independent nation.

@@budakeramat1981 it's got nothing to do with modern, Jakarta has also clean and elite area, many skyscrapers, tons of good malls, pretty good public transportation, the problem is overpopulation, the government doesn't control the entry of people from outside of Jakarta. The effect is that people who can't survive, they will become a problem in jakarta like a slums area and live on the bare minimum, not many of them want to return to their home(origin).
