I make my own food, it's so much better for my dog purposefully choosing proper ingredients that is healthy. I encourage anyone who can do take the extra time and a little extra money to do so.

I seem to save more making it at home than buying that processed crap at the store and infinitely better health wise.
Everytime I lookup it’s some recall or major issue with most of these products.

Make sure youre giving the mineral supplemets. Dogs need SO much more than humans do... fresh food doesnt have all they need so add in a packet. Or supplements.
Dr Judy Morgan and the Carna4 owner explained this. This DCM case was only linked to about 1100 dogs. Def sucks, but not a lot of dogs in the grand scheme of things. It’s not specific to just eating grain fee, it’s due to companies removing a lot of the meat and not getting the tourine they need since the foods are filled with carbs.
I just bought my new shepherd puppy Farmina it has 96% protein of animal origin. Expensive at 100$ a bag at 26.4 lbs but her health is worth it. 🐺

@@potraf26 Farmina N&D, you can’t go wrong with any of their lines. Farmina N&D prime for canine athletes, any other N&D is suitable for the “average dog”. Farmina N&D prime is a high protein, high fat line for working/hunting/ highly active dogs. They have N&D pumpkin, ancestral grain, quinoa, fish, etc.

Orijen is too expensive for 3 dogs so what would you recommend for a mid grade dog food. I use bjs salmon

Then don’t have 3 dogs if you can’t afford to keep their health up. Or make more money. Or stop buying yourself Starbucks or get a side gig…. Their health is more important than cutting corners

Late reply but Wellness Core is a fine dog food. Not necessarily “the best” but VERY FAR from the worst.

Hello, I have a 9 month old Mini Bernedoodle. I’m having a hard time trying to find the right food/kibble to feed him that does not cause diarrhea/upset stomach. He has a very sensitive stomach and he does not digest rice well. What should I do ???
You can get him allergy tested and then either buy or prepare for him fresh food ^^
5 strands is a good service, not sure if they are cheaper or more expensive than the vet though, but they will help you figure out all your pups allergies.
I have an 11 month old Petite Bernedoodle and he constantly has colitis. We just left the vet and she told me to put him on a limited ingredient dog food and add a probiotic. I’ve been watching videos and reading reviews for hours, everyone seems to have an opinion.
