Hey Watches Journey! I have enjoyed your videos for some time now … thank you for your nice comments. Wishing you happy holidays and I look forward to seeing more of your watches journey! 😊
You dog Doug! You get all the good watches! I enjoyed your Blue Datejust video and now am enjoying this one. Have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hi Max, yes, in "normal lighting" the ceramic bezel is a darker, richer green. Under bright artificial light or bright sunlight the bezel becomes a much more pale, pastel green. I much prefer the darker hue.
@@TheTimelyFocus I truly adore all of my watches (which I have pared down to just the Daytona, GMT, and Kermit + a CasiOak). But if I had to pick one ... it would be the GMT BLNR on jubilee. :)
@@DougsPerspective right on! That is a great choice if you had to pick a favorite! I think that would also be my favorite in your fantastic collection. Haha, it is a bit funny how so many watch people with $50k plus collections always have that one Casio. So far I have only owned one Casio from way back when I was in elementary school. Haha, maybe I need to pick one up again. - Phill
Excellent review! Do you find that the all brushed oyster bracelet is less "flashy" than your Batman with jubilee? I have it on Oyster and love it but the PCLs are really shiny in the summer sun. I like you also have the SMP but black w/black rubber strap. Was thinking of selling to contribute to the Sub LV but it's really nice to have a nice watch on rubber that isn't a Rolex for certain travel/occasions. Thanks again for the great review and content. New subscriber here.
Hi Darell, thank you so much for your nice comments ... I really appreciate it! The brushed bracelet is definitely not as flashy as the jubilee. Interestingly, I am thinking of adding a black SMP on rubber for the very same reason as you. :)
Mr. Maita ... I just moved here 8 days ago and I am really enjoying YOUR TOWN! :) I live right downtown and I am amazed how vibrant this city is any day, any evening,
Thank You Jim! I am sorry to hear your AD no longer handles Rolex ... if you are wanting them. But I have ALWAYS loved Omega and Breitling -- they are awesome!
@@DougsPerspective Thanks Doug! Thinking about purchasing the Breitling B01 Chronomat on Rouleaux bracelet with Bentley Green dial before Xmas. Just can’t stomach paying the big bucks for a Rolex on the grey market
Thank you David! My collection currently includes: Rolex Green bezel Sub, Batman on jubilee, black Daytona, blue SMP, time only (not chrono) black Tag Heuer Monaco, G-shock G7900, Apple Watch 3 Nike+, and a new G-shock CasiOak gray. I am thinking about getting rid of all except for the three Rolexes and the new CasiOak -- but not sure.
Hi Edward, thank you for your comment. Just so I know exactly what you are referring to ... do you mean the console table that has my TV at beginning of video? If so, it is a Hooker brand I purchased November 2022 at a local furniture store (Goods Furniture in Charlotte, NC).
I'm waiting on the exact same watch to complete my personal three Rolex watch collection. Sadly didn't arrive this Christmas, but I hope to add it sometime next year. Did you end up selling your Omega? I have a Breitling which is also third-wheeling the Rolex collection and it might stay or go. All the best and Merry Christmas!
Out of the trio, which one would you choose if you had to pick just one? I’m looking for a daily and after seeing your video (which shows this watch off the best) I’m honestly leaning towards the sub. I’m a tall guy 6’6 so the fuller look would suit me well. Cheers!
Hi Zach, I would probably keep the Batman on jubilee -- but for sentimental reasons. My Dad died right before I got it and I always thought he "made it happen." But, if no sentimental attachment, I think I would agree with you that if I could only have one, it would be a Sub. And if I had to do it all over again and pick only one ... I would probably chose a no date Sub as a one and done.
I had the black on the rubber. Great watch. I moved it on for a no date sub but miss it and probably going to buy it back again soon - great looking watch. I had the white dial before that but had a similar experience to you where I felt it looked a bit flat and bland after a while. Black is the best of the bunch imo
Thank you Minoli! The clock (which I absolutely LOVE) is a Howard Miller Chaplin: howardmiller.com/collections/modern-grandfather-clocks/products/chaplin-floor-clock-615070
Congratulations! Looks beautiful. I am picking up panda tomorrow after two years on the waiting list and I think I will ask for this one to complement my hulk. Looks great and thanks for the video.
Wow Marc! I have watched many of your videos … I’m honored for your comment. And CONGRATS on your new panda! I will look forward to watching your video of it 😊
Although i like the new generation Omega Seamaster a lot, Submariner looks and feel so exclusive and luxury compare to SMP when you show both on your wrists! I would keep the SMP for outdoor activities, so you can wear Sub for more elegant purposes. Wear in good health and enjoy that beauty! Merrry Christmas...
Thank you Kemal ... Merry Christmas to you! Yes, I am considering keeping the SMP as a perfect travel watch and for times when I do not wish to wear a Rolex. :)
Hi G Seg, I have now owned this watch since early December 2021 and I have not had ANY buyer's remorse about the watch or the green bezel. In fact, I actually have become more and more attracted to it. It's just a normal Sub with a touch of uniqueness (green) to it. I can see how the Hulk may get to be "too green" but not this one. I hope you get your new Sub soon!
Great video and review Doug! I have a question if you don't mind when you have the time. I was blessed to come across a representative who helped me get this same exact model and I only waited about 3.5 almost 4 mo/. I know... I can barely believe it myself especially because it's also my first ever Rolex purchase. The dealer who I'd like to consider a friend, has been very transparent. It will be a very long time (about a year) until I can request another piece, or simply work my way up to another sports gem. My question to you seeing that you have the 3 most heavy hitters from Rolex, how difficult was it to achieve this? How long did it take you? Thanks again.
Zi, I purchased 4 different Rolex models during the "pandemic" simply by walking into the Rolex Store. I know that is rare today, but I had great luck, getting an OP41, GMT, SUB, and a 18k Day Date 40. The shops I went into asked me a lot of questions to determine if I was a collector or a "flipper", as they seemed to want to sell a watch to a Rolex collector or fan.
I am so sorry that I am just seeing your comment and question. Thank you for the comments. I established my relationship with my AD in March 2019. The Batman was offered July 2019. The Daytona was offered December 2019. And the Starbucks was December 2021.
Hi Gene, It is my understanding that one can only change dials/etc. for watches with the same reference number. Since the 126610LN and 125510LV are different reference numbers, I would doubt that it can be changed by RSC. Of course, there are aftermarket bezels you could have custom made for it in green (or probably any color you chose).
@@DougsPerspective Correct me if I am wrong but from what I know, the 126610LN and 126610LV are the same watch. The only difference is the bezel color. There might be another way to distinguish it but I am not sure.
@@firewire086 yes you are correct … there are identical in every way except the bezel color. But they do have different reference numbers (namely one ends in LN and other ends in LV).
Beautiful watch, congratulations and merry Christmas! If you want the ultimate watch, Haute Horology! Get the Audemares Piguet 15500ST, handmade! Much higher level, than any Rolex ever made!
Hi Simon, thank you so much! Yes I agree that AP and several other brands are definitely at a higher level than Rolex. My personal fav is A Lange und Sohne in that space. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
I love it and would really like one but given that the Rolex dealer network is completely corrupt and rude, especially here in Europe, I won't be holding my breath. God knows why Rolex cannot increase production unless of course they are complicit in the secondary market profiteering...
Congrats Doug, great addition to your collection. Enjoy and wear it in good health. Happy Christmas 🎄
