Some of the biggest morels I ever found were in a pasture, 30 to 40 feet from the edge of the woods, growing right in the grass. Been hunting for over 50 years.
Awesome video, again, Owen! Just out of my common curiosity, are these mushroom safe to eat or can they cause a chemical caucasian with my liver and small intestine? Thank you
What State are you on??.. it's way too early and cold in Minnesota.. should be last week in April - 1st week in May in Minnesota, but we need alot of rain and then some hot sun in order for the Morels to pop up.

They are safe to eat once cooked. They are mildly toxic, but they are also choice edible!!. Just make sure they are cooked completely and enjoy.
They are delicious and a gourmet treat that only accrues once a year in the spring. It’s a short window of about two weeks ,then they’re gone.
