He's not nearly the first person to turn to heroin for relief from the pain of it. That condition, to me, was his biggest demon. His gut and the cure he chose. Daily, heavy pain, can kill everything about a person.

He was in one of the biggest rock bands of all time and hundreds of millions, if not billions of people have enjoyed his iconic basslines (which are still played hundreds of times per day on the radio) …and anyone with the slightest bit of musical knowledge can appreciate what he brought to Nirvana. Videos, interviews, TikTok’s, every live show recorded, etc. back with nirvana/beatles or whatever, you’d only hear rumors and that’s it. The only way to see what the hype was about was to physically see them unless there’s was a festival they were at. That caused chaos whenever they’d show up to a city because everyone’s dying to see them. Swift doesn’t have that.
It just makes me so sad that Kurt isn’t here. Like, It makes me happy to see Krist and Dave alive and thriving, but instantly my next thought is just sadness for Kurt. A lot of the myth around Kurt Cobain, especially pushed by the die-hard psychotic grunge fans, was that he never wanted to be famous and that he was annoyed by the crowds and the glamour (the guy who actually drank that koolaid was Eddie Vedder). Kurt wanted to be famous, he wanted to be mainstream and he wanted to be a rockstar, he simply took advantage of the fact that his weirdness had become en-vogue coming into the 90's after everyone dropped the hairdos and the lipstick.
This guy anyway is very low profile but had a lot or killer bass lines, essential and to the point and with a bit of genius. Kinda the same quality mccartney had (have)
