@@NighthawkCustomFirearms Ah I see, no problem at all. I dropped it off last year when I was visiting for a custom comp setup but then decided to add optics to the order and was unsure if it was done. I'll call once shot is over, thank a lot for responding!
Nighthawk Custom I have 2 nighthawk custom pistols currently one being a t3 built by Tim Anderson that I absolutely love and the other being a grp that I had George something or another from gunslingers in Michigan order built by dale wedgee that isn’t as good as the t3 but I’ve noticed he is no longer on the papers that ship with the pistols. My question is who would you recommend for a dealer here in North Carolina and can you send me a quote on the pistol that Aaron cowan is shooting in this video to a tee with the iron sights and the sight plate for a trijicon rmr type 2 ? And can I request Tim Anderson build it ? Thank you
This made my heart palpitate with joy because I have this exact gun and love just as much as you do. I conceal carry it, i shoot it religiously and this gun just runs. I have about 3500 through mind no malfunctions. You are the man Aaron! -Eddy from Pistol Parlour
Update: now have 23,000 rounds through my Firehawk still Incredible to shoot. I loved it so much I bought another Nighthawk, the TRS Comp. have about 1,000 rounds through it with no issues. Keep putting our awesome content Aaron.
Aaron, as always very thorough. I can’t believe you drop tested it, but then again, yes I do, true to your way. Also, great to see you linking up with SOLGW as well.
HURT 1 - The more economical way to do this now is to buy the new TRS Comp ($4600) and add the IOS cut ($350) to it for the same gun with different rear serrations ($4950). The extra $650 over the Staccato XC gets you the metal grip that’s $600 just to buy before you get it fitted on any gun. Plus the Nighthawk will be fit tighter and better, use higher quality components, get you a better optic system, and far better Quality Control and Customer Service before, during, and after the sale. I do wish Nighthawk offered a more budget 5” 2011 with an optic cut that tops out at $4,000.
Great Gun , Very good and detailed review. I enjoy that you continually roll in footage of the guns accuracy capability instead of just shooting steel targets all of the time .
Dangitman......You just sold me on this gun moving from my "like-it list" to the "gonna have to have it list". Outstanding review of a supernice pistola.
Love the video, I ended up with a 1911 back in June for the first time. I carried one for duty in the 80s before the m9 later as SRT. Really as I was just learning to shoot well. Getting reacquainted with it and loving it, bad eyes so I point shoot and rely on fundamentals and have to say it’s all that and chips. I have been carrying it for a couple of weeks now. Getting a double stack 9 may be on the horizon.
Having CZ Customs, Wilsons, STIs, Springfields, HKs and aftermarket Glocks, my Nighthawk GRP doublestack is the overall nicest, most accurate 2011 shooter. I did not expect that when I purchased it either. They make legitimately great guns. BTW - I threw up in my mouth a little on the drop test.
Thanks for the video. I've recently rediscovered my 1911s. From age 22 to 35 I probably put 120K to 150K through a 1911 firearm. I bought a Wilson combat that I felt like I couldnt shoot it because of the cost of the firearm I guess. For 18 years I just shot the polymer wonders. My Clark Custom and Wilson combat are in use once again. The trigger on your nighthawk looks like the trigger on my Clark custom that J.E. Clark made for a 1961 colt he customized in 1962. Great review as usual.
