What about if you don't have a wifi adapter on your computer? I don't have one and i can't get this printer to connect to my computer at all and it doesn't come with a USB cord to directly connect to my computer.
Hi! The procedure covered in this video allows your printer to communicate with other devices via a wireless router. If your router and your printer are successfully communicating with each other, then all the other computers and mobile devices on your network should be able to talk to your printer regardless of how they communicate with the router, whether it's via a cable or via Wi-Fi.
To put it another way, your computer would only require Wi-Fi connectivity to talk to your printer if a router or a USB cable weren't available. Otherwise, if a router is available and your computer is already linked to it, then it should be able to see the printer.
If you would rather use a cable to connect your printer and computer to each other directly, you can use a standard A-to-B USB cable which is available separately.

Same problem for me. Went through the setup. Tried a test print and it error'd. Nothing on the printer display to indicate what was wrong. Nothing on PC to say what could be wrong. Nothing in product documentation to troubleshoot. Crappy product and support!

My PC (Windows 7) is connected to my wireless router as a wired via Cat5 Ethernet, not wireless. Can I still print documents as wireless or connect via USB?
You sure can! Your computer can communicate with your PIXMA TR4520 directly via a USB connection or via your wireless router. You can use whichever means of communication works best for you.

I recently got the TR4520 printer and it doesn’t let me set it up from the old software and I’m confused at this point..: I already set up the WiFi and I found a way to print but it doesn’t let me scan at all and when I try and make this printer my default there isn’t an option

Hi! If you're referring to bandwidth, your PIXMA TR4520 is designed to use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Many 5 GHz routers will offer backward compatibility for devices requiring 2.4 GHz and we recommend checking your router's documentation to see if it has this feature.

Doesn't work on windows 11 it won't let me install the software because it's says won't install 3rd party apps that's not from Microsoft
It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Keep getting message "printer is offline" have attempted to print from multiple computers. Have does manual connect. When I do easy connect, nothing pops up on my desktop. Need help.

Help please ive been doing this for hours and it wont connect few hours ago i bought the white cannon pixima series didnt connect so i returned n bought this series tr4520 and still the same thing my wifi connection is strong so i don’t understand what the problem is ive followed the steps for 6 hours this is insane is it not compatible with my laptop or something?

I tried installing my printer on my computer through the website and with the CD but there is a pop up saying "This program cannot be used with the current operating system". Did anyone else have the same issue? Could someone help me how to solve this issue? Please & thank you.

How does one scan on the TR4500?
Hi, Elize! Once you've got your PIXMA TR4500-series printer fully set up with all of its software installed, you can scan using the standalone IJ Scan Utility app. If you're looking to scan an image directly into another application, the ScanGear plugin should launch automatically from within that application. Each one will walk you through the scanning process.

@@CanonUSASupport Hello, I'm trying to register my TR4720 printer but it's not accepting the serial #. I've tried both upper case and lower case for the 4 letters at the start followed by the 5 numbers after but no luck.

We should also point out that while we appear to be talking about two different printer models, both the PIXMA TR4520 featured in the video and the PIXMA TR4720 that you mentioned are not equipped with illuminated LCD screens. The messages shown on the screen should still have enough contrast to be legible when there's enough light in the room. If your printer is in a shaded area, you may want to consider repositioning it so that artificial light can shine upon it. We don't recommend direct sunlight, though.

Printers intended for sale in the United States will usually have a unique range of serial numbers which will be different from their Canadian counterparts, and our registration system is programmed accordingly.

this doesn't work and if you try to put in a pin number on the printer it doesn't have capital letters available so the pin won't work. This is the most ridiculous set up of a cheap ass printer ever.
Hi, Craiger! When entering a PIN or password via the printer's keypad, press the TONE button (the button with the * on it) to switch between uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers and symbols.
