Serviced a ram1500 the other day and was a little concerned about the bearing backlash, now I understand how it all fits together, I realise I was worrying about nothing, so thank you from the UK.
One thing to note. Put in neutral with the truck off. There is a panel that pops off to the bottom of driver side dash. Use a flathead to release latch and pull handle. You will then be able to rotate gears.
A good thing to do is cleaning up your axle shafts with emery cloth fine grit, old seals will make a groove that if not debarred with completely destroy that new seal right away. And you back into the same job
Help- 2011 Ram 1500 4WD axles did spin, and two little half shell things fell into the bottom, and the two small gears that go on the pin also slid down. don't know where they go. They look like connecting rod or main bearings, but they're much smaller. They don't quite fit around the pin that holds the axles in place. I can't find any diagrams or videos of where they go and my truck is immobilized until I do! Thanks
Another really informative video! This is a really great channel! Super helpful! I had the same question as @chrisholmes2888? I have a harmonic/whining noise in my truck that I am having trouble figuring out?

Do the bearings make a whining noise when they are going bad I have a 09 ram
Is the passenger side any different as the only side you ever show is the driver side in all the videos regarding the removal of the rear axles?
Super helpful!
Saved me about $850.00
Shop quoted me $1000.00

Hi there, do you recommend doing the both bearings so only one time changing the gear oil??
+@roadrunnerskvlogs7073 You do not need to replace the bearings in pairs and you only need to replace the side that has failed.
So does the differental pin and that bolt what prevents the c clips from falling off when assembled
Very interesting and informative.. thanks
On your website it says it doesn’t fit 2016 and up ?
Good job I appreciate it
What RTV are you using?
Sehr gutes Video .
It started with disk brakes in the back then went to drum brakes
Two shops quoted me $2500 for this. Why? How is this job worth $2500?
