Two of my favorite guitarists. I can't explain in words everything I think Bill has given to the guitar in the last 40 years. His work is unique and extremely beautiful, I really love everything he does. Kurt is one of the few chosen and worthy to continue the legacy

I was just wondering what this pair would sound like together the other day. I got my wish. 😊

One of Kurt's breakout performances was opening for Bill was touring with his great Hank Roberts Kermit and Joey quartet. That group was a powerhouse of genius and empathy. Kurt's working band opened for them in Cambridge MA and nearly upstaged Bill. One of the greatest mutual admiration societies was formed that night but somehow they never managed to share the stage...until Joel Harrison brought them together in his Alternative Guitar camp.
That annual event is not only a living weeklong concert festival but a masterclass and workshop where anybody can learn from and witness genius at work in as close to a living room atmosphere as you or they will ever find. Incredible meeting of the spirits.
Also in the camp that year was the first concert performance of Sco and Stern since Miles, Sco and Frisell on the same stage, and more.
But yeah, this duo of Kurt and Bill: Pure magic!

too processed -- why do thet need all that sonic 'gumpf'.It detracts from their playing imo.....They are two seriously good guitarists and i'm surprised they need all that non-musical splurge.

Were you there? Why do you think judging a LIVE performance via a UA-cam video is so accurate? What is "seriously good" and 'gumpf'? Odd comment. Well, plenty of people love their sound.
