Why doesn’t Silhouette make this information more freely available? Why should I have to turn to you to find it? I haven’t seen it written down anywhere, but you are answering the questions that I would naturally ask, and that they should be able to figure out....so come on, folks!
My problem with silhouette blades is that it doesn’t come with instructions on how to use. In words I don’t actually know what depth the blade by just turning the knob. The kraft blade is not intuitive in that manner, at least not like the deep blade where the colors help!
Thank you so much for all your great video's. I have a Silhouette Cameo 4, love it! But I have lot of issues with the PixScan Mat. The Cameo can't read the registrations marks correctly. I tried a lot and Silhouette America can't solve the problem either. Could you make a video about the PixScan Mat on the Cameo 4?
I SOOOOO FEEL YA! CAN WE PLZ SIMPLIFY ALL THE COLORS AND NUMBERS... AND WHICH GOES WHERE AND WHICH NEEDS THAT ADAPTER THINGY AND YES! CAN WE PLZ! Especially coming from a Cameo 2 user, which has 0 zero options but the ratchet! lol ok.. and I figured out some of my problems esp w the squiggly lines.. LOL I am glad you referred me back to your BLOG!! and now.. I've got the SOME of the bluetooth connection issues figured out. ( and those extra lines...the need for the Kraft Blade 3 to do its TURN ABOUTS..) who knew.. YOU! lol I still can't get it to auto feed w/ bluetooth, I'm loading it as usual, by the button... ? but bluetooth is working because its cutting.. but I was trying to cut the same type of foam sheet you just did (maybe the same- very similar w/ the glue backing and all) but it wouldn't cut all the way thru, and I did try to adjust pressure, force and passes... nothing worked...which is very odd to me seeing you're using the 2mm and I'm using the 3mm? that makes no sense to me, and I do not have the 2mm and I guess my next qu is- would I need the adapter for the 2mm Kraft blade in the Cameo 5.. thanks!
Hello ma’am One of my friend recently bought Cameo 4 she even purchased Kraft blade 3mm to cut glitter foam sheet but it doesn’t cuts well it cuts crooked or gets stuck in the machine while cutting it can you please guide me further so I can share the details with her thank you 😊 in advance 😌
Hi I need to know what settings to use on cameo 3for the craft blade it doest show on the drop down to select kraft blade and no matter how much I set it t it does not cut through anything I tried thin xray sheets but it doesn't cut
Turn off the hooks and loops. Here's a tutorial on how to disable them www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/11/silhouette-rotary-blade-how-to-turn-off.html
I don't understand English conversations. Can you write please? the top of the blade on the device is not orange.A different knife? The Cameo Kraft Blade makes circular turns around the object while using a 2MM blade. How do I cancel?
Great video, thank you! What Kraft blade would you recommend for cutting mat board? I can only find videos for the cricut, not a cameo. Thanks in advance
Any word when the software will be available for the Portrait 2 for the 2MM Kraft Blade? My blades came today and I really, REALLY want to cut stencil (acetate) material and balsa wood sheets!
quick question... because I've heard on Facebook groups that those mats damage the rollers on the machine bc they are "thicker" than actual Cameo mats...is that true? or bs???
I just got a silhouette & the software is absolutely terrible. Different parts of the screen shake the entire time I am trying to design. It is so frustrating. I have tried to take it off & re- install it. I have tried to do all of the things other people suggest doing when I google the problem. I wish there was something I could do to fix it. I really wanted to love this.
Have you tried detailed, thinner cuts like slim fancy text that says "Thank You" and turn out well? I assume cutting craft foam means you can't do smaller detailed cuts
No, you don't want to use a kraft blade for vinyl. I would recommend getting the 1mm blade. Here's more info: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/04/silhouette-cameo-4-premium-blade-how.html and here's a link to get the blade: shrsl.com/3odx8
My cameo 4 will be here today. I have downloaded my silhouette software. I am wanting to know if the software will change so my regular cameo will not work with the software I have now. I am more of a paper crafter and feel like I may need to send the machine back and try to order the cameo 3. Thanks for your help.
Happybidr it just says silhouette cameo. I am thinking is a cameo 2 as it works only hooked up to my pc. I did not buy the cameo 3. I have received the cameo 4 but have not taken out of the box. I am planning on using this for cutting card stock. I am not into vinyl. Just got a new machine but am wondering if both machines will still work after updating my software to the cameo 4. Thanks for all your information.
Hey there! We'd really need more information to help trouble shoot. I just got my machine and I want to start a project but where do I start. Computer program looks really complicated. Do you have a step by step tutorial that shows the program and machine
Can you please please tell me how to download the basic edition mobile app...I do not see it in playstore also I have an Android if that matters... Thanks so much and thanks for all you do for all of us
I bought a cameo 4, my friend bought a Cricut. I am constantly struggling with cutting issues and menu selections. My friend is pumping out stuff day and night 😳 I have moderate to above average computer skills...is cricut more user friendly?
i think cricut is somewhat more user friendly to straight up just cut, but also limited on it's own software. however you can import svgs for free on it and on silhouette you have to pay for the "silhouette studio designer edition" license. I have never used a cricut, but on silhouette i had no problems at all on my firsts cuts. besides the very first time that i forgot to put press on the screan "load mat" and it cut outside the grid area.
Yes but we dont rant enough. I am having to spend hours to figure out the basic steps of how to use the Brother Scan n Cut because their videos are inadequate and their manual was written by a techno geek without the slightest clue of HOW TO TEACH how to operate these machines. Now ive worked on more complicated stuff since the early 1980s just by using a manual when they knew how to write them. I hope Cricut is better but so few companies today het this part right. All of us know someone or have ourselves experienced frustrations from being unable to easily operate these gadgets. I HAVE HAD IT!! and i refuse to pay a couple hundred more dollars to take video courses offered by two Australian women whose free videos show little capacity to teach! So frustrating!!!!
@@Happybidr I wish I could help you but i know nothing on the scan and cut. Silhouette is not that complicated, is very straight forward, but obviously they are in transition to the new model and New type of blades, so things will be slightly messy for a while.
Nice video and review, I just did what you did in this video, it's fantastic. Can you please make a content how to use kraft blade to cut a text/words?
Thanks for the info... can’t wait to have a go myself. Btw... have you ever watched your videos silently with captions on? You should... you really should... I just did... 😂
I had them on too hilarious buy yeah you should look as the subtitles had mild swear words in it which I just thought was funny but others may not also I don't know if coppa will get funny about it
A bit manic, figured I wouldn't last but have to say I made it through a bunch so... Maybe one or two less cups of coffee ;~) Though, I will say that there is a "performance" rush that is hard to get past. When I teach I have to keep slowing down, and I probably still come off like I had a pot of coffee. Just got a Cameo 4 and managed a couple of successful cuts so I'm encouraged and seeing a lot of possibilities. I'm not a "crafter" so what I will end up doing is not exactly what you are talking about but there is still about a 80% crossover. You could probably benefit from a bit of video editing but not a lot. For a polar opposite channel (in some ways but not in others) I would suggest AvE on UA-cam. He kind of manages a good balance of cutting out some parts but still presenting a very raw uncut feel. A little testosterone driven and he is all about machining and such but really at it's core he and you are about making stuff. And you are using the tools that best get done what you want to make. I know it seems strange but the core is really almost the same. I'm building stuff that is in both worlds so...
Hello Melissa, I'm a big fan of Silhouette School blog and learn so much from you. I never give thumbs down, and haven't here, but I have one critical feedback. It is so disappointing that your videos are such low quality! 360p just isn't enough to see things clearly, especially on my iPad and desktop screens, but even on my iPhone it's not clear. 1080p is the standard on YT, even 720p would be an improvement! Not sure the reasoning for your videos being such bad quality, because it takes a little longer to upload? This low quality always results in me giving up on your videos.
I haven't seen anyone cut wood yet i hope u do a video on that
Why doesn’t Silhouette make this information more freely available? Why should I have to turn to you to find it? I haven’t seen it written down anywhere, but you are answering the questions that I would naturally ask, and that they should be able to figure out....so come on, folks!
You can't email silhouette for anything. They don't even know the units or the force or speed.
I guess I'm kind of off topic but do anybody know a good site to stream new movies online ?
@Jaziel Tripp Flixportal :P
@Justice Patrick Thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I appreciate it !!

Can I use the autoblade to cut 2mm chipboard?
Thanks for the vid!
Can you share the settings to cut foam with 3mm on cameo 4 please?
Hey there! Check out this blog post about the 3mm: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/12/3mm-silhouette-kraft-blade-adding-custom-cut-settings.html
Great demo, TYFS!!!
Can u make a video on how to cut out wood please.
What would be the cut settings for this 2mm kraft blade to cut acetate sheet please. Still using cameo 3
Has anyone had trouble with the autoblade cutting on the Cameo 4 Plus. It worked for a few times, then it just stopped cutting. Any advice?
What blade do you use to cut thick glitter cardstock for homecoming mums?
Hi there! Check out this blog post! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2015/11/glitter-card-stock-perfect-silhouette.html
@@SilhouetteSchool - thank you so much! 😊
May i cut thick stencil sheet with this blade dear? Its not showing cutting settings when i try
I have Silhouette. You said you are using a circuit mat. Did you have to make adjustments on the size?
I need a video on mats sliding on the cameo 3.
You have to adjust your bar all the way and tighten the lever down .
Hi There is there a Journal for writing down settings for each material please
Hey there you can save custom settings in Silhouette Studio
This kraft blade can cut glitter craft foam?

It's tough to cut mat board to be honest. I would try the 2mm manual blade but it will require quite a bit of pressure and probably multiple passes

did you fix it? it seems like a graphic driver issue. you can also try to use a different version (4.3.xxxx, 4.2.xxxx, 4.1.xxxx, etc) of the program.
What is the setting to cut?
