It hurts when you feel responsible for someone else being hurt & in some cases, it’s a feeling that never goes away. I’m still upset with myself over an injury my eldest niece had as a baby & the way it happened, I feel like I should have done better (I was 9 at the time & she was almost 1). At the time, I got scolded for it & looking at the bump on her little head, I wanted to cry with shame for what I did to her. She’s 25 now & even now, I still think about it & hate myself, even though I was forgiven long ago. Sometimes you really do wear your heart on your sleeve… 😢💔🤦♀️
Have you talked to a therapist about this? Your right people can feel that way but your feelings sound really extreme. It must be really hard for you I think you should talk to someone about it.
With all due respect but the shootout between Jay and those criminals was poorly done. I've rewatched that part multiple times now and Jay only fired his gun ONCE when he shot the guy on the left. There wasn't a single moment before or after that during which Jay fired his gun towards the door behind them. This basically means that the bullet went straight through the guy and curved upwards and maybe slightly to the left in order to penetrate the door and hit the little girl. While this is TECHNICALLY still possible I still find it a poorly written scenario.
We all have to remember it’s not like Jay looked at that little girl and decided to shoot her he was actively trying to shoot the bad people were trying to kill people and Dubra bad things it was a stray bullet that flew through the wall and hit the girl nobody knew that those kids were there and those kids were not even supposed to be there in the first place it’s not like Jay decided that he was going to kill this kid he didn’t even see her and didn’t even know she was there he was actively doing his job not trying to kill a child
went into the guy's stomach, out his back, through the door, and into the girl. "hitting" someone doesn't mean the bullet stops travelling, flesh is surprisingly bad at stopping bullets
I feel so bad for the police officer that shot that little girl was eight years old and he didn’t know that until his boss said that oh my gosh that is so sad I would be heartbroken if I would ever do that as a police officer and woke me a piece of that I just don’t want to I was an so sad 😭
you shouldn't blame for himself Cause of that Girl been shot Should't have happened in first place bad feel about Jay been through lot of stress he should stop and think after Pull gun back from get the Little Girl got Shot he is not only one responsibility for this he didn't mean to shoot her in this situation Just accident Jay is not the Reason who shot the girl 😥😟
i mean in this case it was a group of black gang bangers in a all/mostly black area so it makes sense that the members of the community would be black too
I can't stand the way they paint cops in this show. I understand people feeling sympathetic towards Jay. He had good intentions, but good intentions don't often matter. This show promotes the same narrative that also justifies police brutality and corruption. This kind of messaging allows police to evade accountability. It's disgusting actually.
According to you we should not have English literature classes where we spend hours passionately debating about fictional characters, write essays, assignments and even give exams. Are all the professors and students delusional? Don't they know they are debating about fictional characters? You are that person, a person who states the painfully obvious cliche as if it a novel insight.
But you also know the majority of us know that too, right? Would you say the same thing to people who say “RIP iron man” or something of the sort? It’s normal for people to connect with stories or want to discuss it etc, fiction or not
I feel so bad for jay . He was trying to do his job and there was nothing to do about it 💔❤️ come back jay I really miss you in the scenes

So jays bullet missed the criminal and went through the door hitting the girl that’s so sad.
Why is it in these shows, whenever a kid is shot it's always a black kid?
Good question
Million dollar question
Trying to show people that sometimes mistakes happen, not all cops are racist. I think🙂
i mean in this case it was a group of black gang bangers in a all/mostly black area so it makes sense that the members of the community would be black too
I know right I have nearly watched every video on Chicago P.D and its always a black kid.
Jay only fired one bullet tho

Exactly, if it were a civilian they'd be charged with manslaughter.
Respect For Halstead.
Jay keep on making mistakes
Y'all know this is fake right you don't need to say rest in peace to somebody that's alive that's honestly just yeah
