Anyone thinking about how in the background of this song there’s probably a bunch of leftover cannibals just eating Adam and Lutes arm and all the other dead angels?
Yeah, though it does make me wonder if a soul can feel when the one holding their contract dies. Like, if Alastor or Valentino die, does Husker or Angel Dust get a feeling that they're free?
It probably helps that he might believe the person who put him under contract is dead at that moment, but yeah, it’s nice to see him finding some sort of joy.
Probably because everyone at the hotel treats him better than Alastor. If anything, it'll probably hurt him if Alastor forces him to work against the hotel at some point.
At the beginning of Alastor's sing it almost sounds like as if he were faking his death, but then he just returns to the crowd. I think that little part is a bit controversial. I mean faking one's death can be useful. Especially when they got a lot of enemies.

He himself said "The radio isn't dead but this is the end of this broadcast". Meaning, his alive but his "show" been cancelled. For now.
Alastor wasn't going to fake his death, he was about to be killed but escaped just in time, and he didn't want people to think he's dead, if he did people would think he's a great person who sacrificed himself for his "friends" just like Sir Pentious and that would make people think he's soft, he doesn't want to be seen as soft

Lucifers voice is just so angelic. No pun intended. I love that at 0:50 he sings in the same chorus as the song Charlie at the beginning of episode 1, “A happy day in hell.” Lucifer is just so loving of his daughter ❤
Alastor went toe-to-toe with Adam, and had him on the defensive for part of their fight. Even if Alastor failed to take him down, he bought them time and put his life on the line. Edit: in addition, Adam was the one who banished Vaggie from heaven in the first place. The fact Alastor *chose* to fight him definitely earned him some respect from her.
What’s even better is that it’s not shock and awe from someone manifesting in heaven right by them instead of at the gates, during ep 6 when they were watching angel dust, serpentius was also there, so they know he was in hell, it might be obvious for us but remember we aren’t them, plus someone may try this argument at some point and these are reasons for why that wouldn’t work, gets rid of any doubt people may have
Jeremy jordan the actor who voices lucifer actually sang the denos for the greatest showman and was up for the role as Phillip carlisle but eventually lost out to zac effron fantastic singer and actor.
3:17 I love that they put up a statue of Dazzle. The lil guy deserves to be remembered for his sacrifice. And the fact Lucifer and Husk took their hats off during the salute for Pentious, the details!
I mean, he might had lost against Adam, but mf stood against him to defend the hotel, hell, he even gave everyone enough time to deal with the army of angels with the shield and keeping Adam at bay for a while. He might be plotting something, but Vaggie knows, and no one can deny, that he was helping to protect Charlie's dream and everyone else's there, even if it was for his own reasons.
0:50 It was at this moment I knew that this show had great musical storytelling. They came full circle, going from "Happy Day in Hell," with Charlie being the only person actually believing in the hotel, with the rest of Hell ignoring her, to "Finale," with Lucifer encouraging her, along with everyone she helped for the better, that it can and will work. They already did something similar with reprising "Hell is Forever" during "You Didn't Know," but here it's more explicit, taking up a larger portion of the song and acting as the closing number compared to "Happy" being the first in the season. Also, Lucifer's lyric about her story having "just begun" (0:53) really hammers in that this first season was just the opening act. Now we just have to wait for the intermission to be over for the next part. 1:29 Lucifer is singing alongside the sinners he previously dismissed as being violent psychopaths without redeeming qualities. 1:32 Lucifer and Vaggie appear on-screen during the lyric "It starts with you" - they're the people that are closest to Charlie and the ones she relies on for providing advice and reassurance in her efforts, which they now do. Then Lucifer and Angel appear during the lyric "You know it's true" - Charlie's optimistic drive and willingness to provide compassion gave Angel hope that he could live a life beyond Valentino and Lucifer an optimistic outlook on life he didn't have in years. She does have a positive effect on people, they're proof of it. 1:50 Lucifer in Kingdom Hearts confirmed! 2:30 I'm not gonna talk about Alastor's section, because if I did then we'd be here for over an hour, but it's definitely the most layered part of the song. 3:28 Key detail here: both Charlie and Vaggie sing the lyric "We're gonna do this, you and me." It isn't Charlie's dream anymore - it's THEIR dream.
“The stage is wrecked, the crowd is gone. But by god Charlie, the show it must go on.” That paragraph has a lot more meaning than is presumed. No matter how much you lose, no matter how much you may hurt, you have to keep going. You have to pick your up head and create a whole new world for yourself. I just adore all the hidden symbolism behind the entire show.
The line "I barely escaped being killed by a hair" has a very fun double meaning when you consider his themes of hunting and animals, while the literal text is "hair" another reading is *"killed by a hare"* which fits with his boasts during the fight in that Adam was, as far as he was concerned, far weaker than him, barely a rabbit, a hare by comparison, and he still got too close and made a simple mistake that almost cost him his life. That, muddled in with his verse kicking himself for putting himself in danger for the sake of 'his friends' and being fearful of not only dying, but dying because for somebody other than himself. Love how much they put into little scenes like that. I know people whine about the pacing, but *fuck* do they do a good job fitting a lot into little, dense packages.
I mean I don't really complain about the pacing because its so bs that AN entire season is just 8 episodes like 16?-20? Maybe its asking too much but whatever
I know a lot of people think Alastor's gonna be a big villain and turn his back, and he probably will, but I do like how he comes back to the hotel anyways instead of just abandoning everyone. He put his life on the line and bought time for everyone, and while he's still definitely got his ulterior motives, he still comes back to those he (in his own special way) cares about. What a fucking legend.
3:42 I know its a very small thing, but I really like how they put a statue of Dazzle in front of the hotel and you can see Razzle either putting a bow tie on Dazzle’s chest or just putting his hand on it for respect
I love how Lucifer just has this showman mannerisms while he sings. Definely someone who knows a thing or two about entertainment. Also Nifty's facial expressions early on are just so genuinely adorable.
I will love it if a demon sees Sir P's picture and laughs: "That loser?!" Just for Al or Cherri to show their scary face and say something like "That...loser...is the only reason you aren't a puddle. Slap some respect on his name."
Ever guess why Lucifer likes ducks so much? They remember him an old friend (also in kingdom heart 4 trailer we see donald and goofy meeting hades so.... they are tecnically going to hell)
3:26 honestly Im suprise that Vaggie seems happy to see Alastor. Like Charlie and Niffty, I get. I think Cherri just thinks he's cool because he can "fuck shit up" Angel seems both simultaneously relieved and stressed because, well, Husk is unimpressed, and well, we all know where Lucifer stands. But-Vaggie is happy to see him!!! which is unexpected, especially after what he did last ep, sure he brought them an army, but at what cost? You would think the threat of the deal would loom over her the most bc she is hyperaware of Charlie. If she is warming up to him and letting her guard down with him, then it will make it a lot easier to double-cross them and make it all the more interesting >:). Also I think shes giving him a little half hug, not as important but thought I would point it out :>
Given the fact Vaggie / the crew (other than Husk) is unaware of Alastor’s mysterious deal As far as she knows, he lost to Adam (Vox absolutely had that clip playing throughout hell) but willingly chose to return to the hotel From her point of view, Alastor (in his own way) cares about the hotel and them. Of course we know Al is on someone’s leash- and they are forcing him to be attached to the hotel Well I guess there are different interpretations on the nature of his deal But to me, the way he told Adam “you should know better than anyone what a soul can accomplish when they take charge of their own fate” feels like it’s maybe hinting at a connection between Al and Lilith (plus the fact both were absent from hell for 7 years) As of rn, I suspect Lilith is the one he made a deal with and she has tasked him with helping her daughter. But that’s just a theory. All we know for sure is that Al is on someone’s leash and there are constraints on him from the deal he made with that entity. Only time will tell how much of his care / friendship is genuine vs being an act is being force to put on
@@ohmygodtheykilledkenny4887 Someone has to decide who gets to go to Heaven, and apparently none of the angels actually know what causes a soul to qualify - they "know when they arrive here". If they don't even have contact with the one who makes those decisions, though... that raises so many more questions. Then again, question is the one thing angels aren't allowed to do or they risk falling, so... makes sense that none of them have.
Ok so... Alastor. I have my own theory. What if Alistor stops the overlords being reborn by keeping them (and their power) inside his head or inside him. Their souls are part of him, that is why he can broadcast their screams, becaue they are inside him. But in so doing he is living with the voices and agony of his fallen enemies inside him. He cannot release them because they would be reborn, but keeping them inside him is driving him mad, it drove him to hide away for 7 years trying to figure out how to finally silence the voices, the screams, the wails, but there was no answer. So he got desperate - and made a deal with someone - this deal silenced the voices, but also held back his power. He had no idea this would happen, was it an unintended consequence? Perhaps his deal was badly worded? Who knows? But the bottom line is he cannot get his true power back without the insanity returning. But now a different kind of insanity is starting to take it's toll - being controlled by someone else. Now he is the prisoner. He is stuck in limbo, unable to unlock his true power, then all of a sudden, he sees the very powerful daughter of Lucifer building this silly little hotel project thig and sees a way out. What if she could use her power, both as Lucifers daughter and her natural born power, to bring his own back? So he offers to help, to play the long game, but as he does, he slowly finds himself finding their company pleasent and enjoyable to be around - something he did not intend. And thats where he is now. He is there to help Charlie because he sees her as his best chance of freedom. He is not being ordered to be there, he is there of his own volition trying to find a way out of his deal, to unlock his real power without the madness that comes with it so he can finally be the most powerful overlord in the Pride ring. But is this only as a means to an end at this point? he didn't have to give charlie his mic during the 'Ready for this' song. That was a rare show of vulnurability and... dare we say, friendship.
Somethings I feel like a lot of people didn't notice was how Sir Pentious, instead of being redeemed and spawning in front of the gates of Heaven, he instead spawns inside of the room with the Seraphims, which may imply that he's now a Seraphim instead of a regular angel.
Just realized that when vox throws a knife at Alastor's photo, the photo is torn in a half and there's vox on the other part. I want to know what happened between them so badly
Oh! That’s such a cool detail! It wouldn’t surprise me if Vox used to admire Alastor and they had a decent relationship before Vox decided to form an alliance of Overlords and Alastor refused to help him.
FINALLY I FOUND A COMMENT TALKING ABOUT IT!! I hope we see him in the second season also helping out charlie and the gang because I feel like that's what his boss wanted when he's gone
2 things. I really wanna see what Alastor is planning and how it will probably utterly fail / he will change his mind and becomes a good guy with scary powers. 2. Protect Emily at ALL costs. That sqeak is worth more than a thousand words.
Its sweet how everyone believes so har din Charlies now, even Cherri Bomb with her lack of screen time and Husker too, maybe even Alistor in his own way.
Lucifer is definitely the character with the most development this season, he went from “oh! You like girls! Same! We have something in common!” To the start of this whole song-
*Lucifer (Jeremy Jordan) voice is So *BEAUTIFUL* & the *CAST’s* made the ending *F**** 👏 *AMAZING.* Which makes me *EXCITED to LOOK* 👀 forward seeing *S2 SOON.*
Alastor.. He is pure evil, literally the incarnation of the Devil, playing good only when it benefits him. A merciless serial killer that clings for power to be the one in charge of hell; the only thing stopping him is the deal he made. Once he figures out a way to get his soul under his control, He's gonna overthrow Lucifer and Charlie, becoming the King of Hell that feeds off the sinners to gain more power. Perhaps making Alastor help Charlie was a part of the deal. No matter what happens in the next seasons, it's not gonna be anything good.
Agreed... I don't look forward to season 2 because of this... but I'm obviously going to stick around anyway, because though my hopes are not high, I'm curious.

Probably because he fought Adam of all Angels to defend the hotel. He may not have won, but that's got to earn him some points with Vaggie.
I LOVE LUCIFER COMFORTING CHARLIE, BELIEVING AND BEING SO CHEERY NOW
0:50 It was at this moment I knew that this show had great musical storytelling.
But by god Charlie, the show it must go on.”
That paragraph has a lot more meaning than is presumed.
They did the best they can for what few episodes they gave them
Lucifer really embracing that whole "Genie from Aladdin" vibe and I love it
Anima Dweller
I can see him singing some of Genie's songs.
1:51 yo Lucifer’s a fuckin keyblade user
More than that, the keyblade is KEKE
1:59 look at nifty when she’s given the power tool
Oh noooo.
ONE pfp chad
This song makes me cry and I love it
I know a lot of people think Alastor's gonna be a big villain and turn his back, and he probably will, but I do like how he comes back to the hotel anyways instead of just abandoning everyone. He put his life on the line and bought time for everyone, and while he's still definitely got his ulterior motives, he still comes back to those he (in his own special way) cares about.
What a fucking legend.
He still has to exact the deal with Charlie once he gets how to "unclip his wings " so he must keep the facade and stick around them
Everyone we love comes out on top
Except for Alastor, the one person we expected to be on top the most…
Es poético y a su vez algo increíble
*insert Angel Dust smirk and eyebrow wiggle here*
3:42 I know its a very small thing, but I really like how they put a statue of Dazzle in front of the hotel and you can see Razzle either putting a bow tie on Dazzle’s chest or just putting his hand on it for respect
I can't get over how Keith David (Husk)'s voice blends with the group but also stands out Its so perfect
One of my favorite parts of this song is hearing Keith David's growling bass threading through all of the other, higher-pitched voices.
That is an amazing idea
THE WAY VAL AND VOX WERE DEADASS MAKING OUT IN THE END 💀💀💀
2:00 Husk’s “New lights across the marquee!” just gives me chills!
I liked the detail husk gets upset when alastor came back my boi thought he is finally free.

Rn Lucifer looks like how someone would look in a musical lol
Isn't this entire show an animated musical?
@@JesseFea I know but it it looks how someone would do it on broadway
I mean...The Greatest Showman maybe? Sure as hell that's what I think😂
@@mistynightlight9951 well, the voice actors are stars of broadway.

I love how in the first episode we had Charlie singing by herself, but in the last episode she's joined by everyone else 🥺
Lucifer confirmed keyblade master
Sora: Who are you?
Lucifer: I am The Master of Masters
It's so funny how quickly they get over Sir Pentious' death.
Like they were sad for like five minutes then just start singing
How sir pentious shows up in heaven reminds me so much of that one part in double king lmao
1:46 WAIT... Is that a Keyblade ?

Hazbin hotel is going to be a world in kingdom hearts 4 confirmed
I would both laugh and live to see that.
Just kinda picture that for a moment, and what would the context be?@@thekeefchief3616
Ever guess why Lucifer likes ducks so much? They remember him an old friend (also in kingdom heart 4 trailer we see donald and goofy meeting hades so.... they are tecnically going to hell)
I mean technically it's possible but who did his ceremony of inheritance. Still like the idea though.
Val x vox is finally cannon 3:40 pause befor hitting da numbers ❤

Aww Nifty looks so cute rn 🥹
Also I think shes giving him a little half hug, not as important but thought I would point it out :>
Given the fact Vaggie / the crew (other than Husk) is unaware of Alastor’s mysterious deal
As far as she knows, he lost to Adam (Vox absolutely had that clip playing throughout hell) but willingly chose to return to the hotel
From her point of view, Alastor (in his own way) cares about the hotel and them.
Of course we know Al is on someone’s leash- and they are forcing him to be attached to the hotel
Well I guess there are different interpretations on the nature of his deal
But to me, the way he told Adam “you should know better than anyone what a soul can accomplish when they take charge of their own fate” feels like it’s maybe hinting at a connection between Al and Lilith (plus the fact both were absent from hell for 7 years)
As of rn, I suspect Lilith is the one he made a deal with and she has tasked him with helping her daughter.
But that’s just a theory. All we know for sure is that Al is on someone’s leash and there are constraints on him from the deal he made with that entity.
Only time will tell how much of his care / friendship is genuine vs being an act is being force to put on
This is the only time we ever get any mention of God in the entire show as of right now
Not really. Charlie said "oh Lord" in episode 7 and Val said "I swear to God" in episode 2.
I'm so curious how they would handle actual God being a character
Minute?
@@maths56738 1:15
@@ohmygodtheykilledkenny4887 Someone has to decide who gets to go to Heaven, and apparently none of the angels actually know what causes a soul to qualify - they "know when they arrive here". If they don't even have contact with the one who makes those decisions, though... that raises so many more questions.
Then again, question is the one thing angels aren't allowed to do or they risk falling, so... makes sense that none of them have.
I love it how Emilys expression turn in to a happy kitten 😊
I find it pretty wholesome how he says "Great Alastor altruist died for his FRIENDS", showing that he actually sees them as his friends
I like how Alastor calls all of the people at the hotel his friends and not "business partners"
WHEN SHE WAS TAKING A PIC THEY WERE KISSING😭😭😭

You mean their tongues were if you talking about this part 3:40
Just me and my homo bros
3:08 fav part
God damn I never expected this shit to be such a bop
Alastor typically has duets…but whenever he gets a solo moment (excluding the pilot) it is HAUNTING
Ok so...
Holy shit!!!
Lucifer has a keyblade

I sincerely hope we get more of Nifty singing in season 2. Her one solo part at 1:42 just scratches an itch.
Just realized that when vox throws a knife at Alastor's photo, the photo is torn in a half and there's vox on the other part. I want to know what happened between them so badly
Me too
Remember what Alastor said? " he asked for my help, i said no and now he's pissy" they were friends or bussness partners at one point.
Oh! That’s such a cool detail! It wouldn’t surprise me if Vox used to admire Alastor and they had a decent relationship before Vox decided to form an alliance of Overlords and Alastor refused to help him.
3:17 the last egg of sir pentious lives while all his brothers died
FINALLY I FOUND A COMMENT TALKING ABOUT IT!!
I hope we see him in the second season also helping out charlie and the gang because I feel like that's what his boss wanted when he's gone
Not Vox and Valentino making out while velvette poses for a photo 😭
OH MY GOD EMMAS SQUEAK WHEN SHE SAW PENTIOUS IM DYING OF ADORABLNES
The little squeal Emily does AAAAAA
2 things.
I really wanna see what Alastor is planning and how it will probably utterly fail / he will change his mind and becomes a good guy with scary powers.
2. Protect Emily at ALL costs. That sqeak is worth more than a thousand words.
Don't know if it will really "utterly" fail to be fair.
Feels like Alastor is building up to be a season 3 kind of villain.
Its sweet how everyone believes so har din Charlies now, even Cherri Bomb with her lack of screen time and Husker too, maybe even Alistor in his own way.
Alastor's part of the song is so well animated
One of my favourite songs that made cry 😭😭😭
Emily: IT WORKS!!
Sera: Oh sh!t it works..
When Alastor sung the line "by a hare", he didn't have a smile on his face. First time for everything.
He has a smile though..
Vox's and Valentino's part is so underrated. It's so catchy and bouncy, and I love the way they dance :)
Nifty for the entire song is so amazing. Like she's just happy to be there and want to help it's so amazing
Lucifer is definitely the character with the most development this season, he went from “oh! You like girls! Same! We have something in common!” To the start of this whole song-
Emily got so happy when she saw sir pentious-
Em's squeak was priceless

I love how Lucifer is so supportive for Charlie and the others let her know they are always there for her
3:42 for a split second Razzle is smiling in front of a statue dedicated to Dazzle 🥲
